I've had surveys done before on previous properties, but Joe is so thorough. I was able to discuss with him anything that was worrying me and ask questions. His survey report is one of the best I've ever seen. After Joe submitted the report, we had a good discussion about some issues he had highlighted and I know if I had any other queries I could ask him. I would highly recommend him if you want a thorough and in depth analysis of a property and an excellent survey from a genuinely helpful surveyor.

Joe offered a lot of insights on the survey he carried out and diligently took time to walk me through all the relevant information. I highly recommend as he is a great communicator and a kind person who is also proficient.

I couldn't recommend Joe enough - I did a lot of comparisons with surveyors for our first home and it felt a bit like a minefield.

From the first point of contact Joe was warm and welcoming , he explained the process and created a WhatsApp message to communicate open and freely.

Joe carried out a very thorough survey and I was so pleased he included photos ( which I didn’t expect) it made it so much clearer for me to understand what he was referring to. He gave me feedback in the evening and surprisingly by the following morning my report came through.

The report went into great detail on every aspect of the house. Joe identified areas of concerns, that needed addressing using a traffic light system. After sharing my concerns with the seller and estate agent, I was very reassured that Joe then rang the estate agent to reinforce the importance of addressing the red issues, which I felt was then taken a little more seriously after his call.

As we were buying without a mortgage, we did initially consider not getting a survey - I’m so glad that we changed our minds.
When I first contacted Allen-Aldus Surveying, Joe reviewed the Rightmove listing and asked me a number of questions about the property. From this Joe recommended a level 3 survey report due to the age of the building and the extensions that had been built over the years.
The report was very detailed and comprehensive, listing defects and including pictures which made it easier to understand. Joe then spent over an hour going through the report with us, giving advice on how to proceed with further investigation where necessary.
As a result, we were able to negotiate a revised offer for the property using the evidence Joe identified in the survey (the pictures proved invaluable). Not only did this save us money on the purchase price, we now also have a good understanding of which jobs need to be addressed quickly and which can wait to be addressed in the next 2-3 years.
Having looked online there may be cheaper level 3 surveys out there, but you get what you pay for. Joe’s level of service is worth every penny and it has been the best investment we made.

As the property was at auction things were moving incredibly quickly, Joe’s service was quick, efficient and detailed. He worked around and tight timescale and even worked unusual hours to ensure the service he provided was top quality. Joe even discussed his report with us via phone call which, as first time buyers, provided clarity and reassurance. Joe provided exceptional service from the start to the finish of his survey for me.

The process of discussing and sharing details was extremely easy via the online form and WhatsApp. After an initial detailed discussion, Joe swiftly arranged the survey with the vendor and it was completed, with the report within a matter of days. The follow up call was, again, detailed and insightful and I had the opportunity to ask all my questions as we methodically went through the survey.

I opted for a Level 3 RICS but was talked through all the options prior, with the emphasis on selecting the “right” level - not just the most costly one! I was entirely satisfied with my choice as it gave me to peace of mind to make an educated decision on the property.

Throughout the process Joe himself was brilliant. He is super lovely, personable and approachable and it was really enjoyable working with him! He conducts the whole process end-to-end which felt really simple and avoided having to repeat things or remember details with different people. He was contactable throughout the process via phone and WhatsApp so I knew exactly what was happening. I’ll add I’m an FTB so this was all brand new to me and I felt I was in good hands, and learned loads for the future! All in all, I’d give six stars if I could, and would recommend Joe without reservation, I will certainly be using his services again in the future.

Joe recently did a Level 3 Survey for us on a 1960s bungalow which had undergone multiple extensions, including a dormer extension. Joe's inspection of the property and his report were very thorough and alerted us to many things we would not otherwise have known needed attention. It has made all the difference to how confident we feel that we are making an informed decision going forward with the purchase. The drone footage of the roof and chimney was so helpful to have, picking up a number of things we wouldn't have known about otherwise.

Joe called us on the day of the inspection to give us a summary of the main things he had found, which we really appreciated. The Whatsapp group has been great, and Joe has been very prompt with replies on that and with writing the report itself after the inspection.

The post-survey appointment was absolutely excellent and left us feeling much more confident about what our next steps are. We learnt a huge amount about buildings in general, as well as the specifics of ours in our time talking with Joe, and his advice will be invaluable as we go ahead renovating the bungalow. We now feel well-equipped for the task ahead!

Given we will need a fair few trades and are relatively new to Norfolk, we asked Joe if he had any trusted contacts we could ask for quotes and he had contacts for every one we need.

Joe's fees represent very good value for money. Having paid less for a Level 3 survey in the past, we can see the vast improvement in detail, post-survey advice and support this time around.

Joe has been so helpful, and it has been so apparent that he genuinely cares about his clients. We would recommend him to anyone!

We used Joe for level 3 building survey. The quality of his work was outstanding but the thing that stood out for us was how much we went above and beyond to provide us an excellent service throughout the process. He spent a lot of time with us outside of what was expected to make sure we had a good grasp of the content of the report he also advised us further after we asked some questions regarding responses from traders.
