I signed up and paid.. then I cancelled on the same day. I can't get back in to make sure I'm not a paying member. I have re-registered and changed my password, gotten a link to re-register and everything, but every time I got to sign-in the site gets stuck on getting an authentication code. Can someone please verify my membership is canceled. Should I have to pay a whole month if I joined for a few minutes? Thanks D Thomas. A phone number would be great! **I'm revising my original rating from 2 to 5. The developer reached out and helped me in a very timely fashion. That's exceptional support, but I do hope they find a way for folks who are not members to contact them with questions or concerns.

What an awful way to trick people into paying up.

I am helping my wife search for her birth mother, we have all very specific information about her mother and entered all the required info to be told there is a match but we need to pay to view.

As soon i saw the results a 5 year old could easily tell the results where total garbage and totally unrelated, total rip off.

I got a Email one day..saying i think i may be your daughter.we share picture and ,my husband said she looks just like you..after 52 years ..she beautiful and i have grand children and great grand.Cant wait for her to meet her 2 brothers..love you michele

After years of wondering was all taken care of when adopted.com came into play . Ended up having a mat h that would be my biological mother. Thanks so much for all your support and efforts to help us make contact .

I've tried for days to setup "Felicia1992", but the site never sends the verification email. I wait the required hour and try to get the email again but nothing is sent.

Even worse is the unavailability of online chat or other responsive support. It looks like a great site but it's no good if you can't register/verify.

Update: I've been contacted by the developer of Adopted. I'm up and searching, and very happy with the service. Still, if I hadn't complained so publicly there'd be no solution to my problem. I hope they fix the site to allow non-members to reach support. My problem was solved in minutes with the help of their excellent support.

I have been trying for over 2 months to cancel and keep being charged. When I try to log into support my account is not found. I have reset the password twice. Would really really like to resolve this asap.

They refunded me my charges which was greatly appreciated. Biggest issue apparently was having 2 emails and not remembering which one I had used.
If they had sent the reminder email with the email address in the body of it, that would have helped tremendously. Or only have 1 email to use not 2. I am changing my review since I received this help.

After searching for my sister for 40+ years i finally found her thanks to this wonderful site,

I was very excited to find my son within only one week thru Adopted. Our DNA was matched on My Heritage, linking thru Adopted. I have searched for over 30 years for him (he is 51) on many sites and this seems like a miracle. Thank you Adopted!

This site led to me reuniting with my birth daughter. She posted on a facebook forum and I had my profile in this forum for a few years. A person that saw my profile and her post linked us together. We were in contact within five days after my BD put her search post out there. She lives fairly close, we have already met in person and talk every day. She has quickly developed a close relationship with myself and my two older adult children. Do NOT give up! Keep your profiles active with as much information that you have about the adoption! It was the non identifying info shared that stuck in the mind of the person that came across the both of us and led to our reunification. I never, ever thought this would happen....and it was WELL worth it.

I have been paying 10 dollars a month for a couple of years and never see anything i would like to stop this payment my number is 623-692-0170

NEVER STOP TRYING
Thirty-four years ago my son was placed for adoption,we were very young and events left it somewhat out of our control, or so it seemed. Six months ago my son was with another webstite and found his mother, who in turn contacted me. We had made a promise to each other that we would always let the other know if we found him.
Long story short, he lives four states away but it made no difference. My daughter and I headed that way the next day. When we meet each other it was strange to say the least and still is today, the hole that I had in my heart for so long was not there anymore. We talk at least every two days and he and his new sister talk constantly. If not for Adopted.com I would have never even imagined this would be possible, THANK YOU... To anyone reading this, Never Ever Give Up. The heart never dies, always try.

A friend recommended that I join this site when she learned that I was searching for a daughter I'd given up for adoption. When I created my profile, I found 6 potential matches. I sent messages to all 6 and got 2 responses. It took about 2 years because I was not a frequent visitor of the site. Of the 2 responses, 1 was definitely not a match. The other had basically the same information that I had surrounding the adoption. Which was minimal to say the least. We then decided that she would take a DNA test. I'd already taken mine. And the results were a match. According to DNA analysis, parents and children share approximately 50% of DNA. My daughter and I share 46.5% of our DNA. It's a match. I am very grateful that she was looking for me at the same time I was looking for her. Or I may not have ever found her. Thank you Adopted.com for making this happen.

After 50 years I finally found my nephew thanks to Adopted and DNA. What a thrill.

Amazing! I signed up last year and received a reply last month. It was my son I placed for adoption 34 years ago. He had just started searching for me the night before! We now have plans to meet right after Thanksgiving. I still can't believe it, my dream has come true. Don't wait, life's too short, find your dream!!!

This is a great site with a defined math algorithm. I was able to find my birth father match and my sister match the first time on the site. This is more than a website and connection engine. The support team in the background helped me through this quick process. Katherine, the founder of the site exceeded any expectations and made my dreams come true ! Great customer service. Very attuned to the ups and downs of adoption search.

I went on here 2 months ago looking for my daughter and within 3 months I have found her and hopefully hmgoing to be meeting her soon x

I stumbled upon Adopted.com while I was researching details about my dad’s adoption at birth. I was surprised to find such an extensive resource for families trying to reconnect. It was an unexpected, but awesome find for me. I really was not expecting anything to come out of it, but I figured I’d give it a shot. I put out a profile, and sure enough, got a 10/10 match! It was worth it to me to investigate further, so I paid for a subscription. I had questions about reaching out to the potential match, so I contacted support for some help. This was all very easy to do and the support I’ve received since has been outstanding. Katharine has gone above and beyond my expectations. My situation is a bit complicated and Katharine provided a resource to assist me in my research. I really feel that this is a passion of hers, and I can only imagine how validated she feels each time she helps a family connect. I am very satisfied with my experience so far working with adopted.com and I absolutely recommend this service.
