Decent batteries. Good prices. Pretty good customer-service, too. But I got royally screwed about by their use of DX Express as courier - a quick look at DX's own reviews could have avoided that.

Ended up after the best part of a week wasted in frustration *borrowing* another vehicle, and going to the DX depot to pick them up myself... only to discover the batteries had been damaged in transit; presumably why all the lies and delays.

As much as ABS's customer-service were responsive and professional, I wasn't really happy - ultimately - with the amount of extra ballache involved in what was suggested in terms of remedy or compensation.

Wish I could give them no stars. I bought a leisure battery for my caravan, bearing in mind I have been a caravan-er for more than 30+ years and within 6 months it failed. I contacted them to explain the problem and got a constant list of excuses why I had caused the problem. There was no attempt by them to emphasise with the problem or even acknowledge that it could be a faulty battery - it was all my fault.
NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY - I CERTAINLY WONT BE - USELESS

Oh dear after over a year I now get a response. Firstly, I am not expressing "anger" I am expressing frustration by your customer service team. Secondly, despite you knowing nothing about me, I am an engineer and fully understand how batteries work. The battery was faulty and would not take a charge. If your team had offered a test as you suggest as standard then there would have been no problem. However, I received no options and your colleague was blaming me at each turn.
I bought a replacement from my local caravan dealer for a better price and it works fine. Plus any issues, they will deal with locally with friendly service.
I will never use your business again end of!

I can’t fault the service I received. When the battery in my present car (Mazda CX3) started to fail, I found the ABS website. I entered the car reg by email, and quite quickly back came a quote for a battery of the correct type (stop/start) and at a very good price inc P&P.
This was on a Friday afternoon, and it was delivered by lunchtime the following Monday.
It fitted perfectly, and yes it is unbranded, but there again the one that came out was made by a manufacturer that I had never heard of; plus it was at least 50% cheaper than the well known brands when I was looking.
Am I pleased with both the service and the battery? Yes I most certainly am: very pleased

Very clear catalogue. I needed an unusual battery and found it immediately. Excellent service although they do say 'order complete' before you get the delivery info which is slightly unnerving. I think they mean despatched by them. Delivery as expected after bank holiday. So far battery is performing perfectly.

I searched their website and found the exact car battery I needed.
Ordered it Wednesday evening arrived early Friday morning.

Please, please take note. You will be able to read a high number of bad reviews for this company, and that is because they provide a sub-standard product and then, when it fails, they have no intention whatsoever of honouring the warranty they claim to provide. I have provided proof of fault from a franchised dealer that is good enough for the car manufacturer's warranty claims, but denied as acceptable by this company. So beware - you won't be getting what you are promised.

I ordered late morning, and the battery was delivered to my door early the following afternoon (today). The battery was adequately packed, and included a note that clearly indicated which packing pieces have to be removed.

I can't believe how fantastic this deal was!!!! Needed to get a new battery for my caravan, so I looked online to see what was available. I ended up buying an LXD 110 battery (their most popular seller) from ABS. Compared to an equivalent battery from a well known national chain of car and bicycle parts supplier the ABS battery was ...

5 year warranty as opposed to 2 year warranty (but see Update below)
More than double the number of cycles (re-charges)

Ordered it online about 2:00pm, courier was knocking at my door at 7:15 am the next day.
Update ...HOWEVER, I've just noticed that 28% of the reviews are one star, all of these saying that they have had problems with their battery and the company doesn't honour the guarantee, so time will tell whether it's a good deal or not.

UPDATE 17 Dec 2023- 18 months since purchase and I've just had a message from ABS to ask how the battery is - 10/10 to them for customer follow up. Battery has been great, no problems at all. So that's good news, but it means I'm not able to comment on how they deal claims for batteries under guarantee.

I ordered a leisure battery for electric fencing. The battery arrived very well packaged, with free next day delivery. I will definitely order from ABS again.

Great thanks. Next day delivery. Able to speak on phone about order not like S&&t eBay dodgy battery sellers which are same price and turn up late and defect. Ordered at 3:45 and got it next day now I have my motorhome working again
