Excellent service.
Just concerned about lack of email responses from African Ancestry when a query is sent for a response.
Also after you get your results then what?!
Follow up and care needs to be incorporated into service as well

I was a bit disappointed that I only got my African roots checked. for The money I paid I expected all DNA results.
Guess I did not read the fine prints.

I’m still waiting for my DNA results to be sent to me it is past the estimated arrival date and I’ve heard nothing from their office but I’m getting a survey so I’ll rate it a 3 star for the delay! I will call their office on 6/5 for an update! Jewel Darden

Although the cost was slightly higher than the other competitors. I understand the research involved. It would be nice if African Ancestry was able to provide more information regarding the tribe traced to. Meaning a type of small paragraph on the history of the tribe, location, their position during the slave trade, the economy (current), tourist sites, and what they are famous for would be more enlighten.

My African Ancestry MatriClan test kit was a gift to my mother. Our experience was exciting and rewarding. We are so grateful to finally know our African origin. The journey continues as we look forward to learning more about our ancestral roots.

I must say that my husband and I were truly underwhelmed with our results. I believe we expected a lot more information for the price we paid. Collectively, we spent $600 and received back the name of an ethnic group. My results came with a math, but my husbands did not. For $600, I would at least expect to receive some sort of information about the results. Perhaps some information on how the results are derived. I think I would have been happier even if the information card straight from Wikipedia. I thought the results would bridge gap for an African American, like myself, that has no identity or connection to Africa. But I was left with more questions. Currently, you have competitors running commercials that are advertising about how much information they received about their test results. This price needs to be drastically cut, or it needs to come with a whole lot more information. I wanted to test my patriarchal DNA with African Ancestry but I am definitely going to pass now.

I also did ancestrydna. They gave me a beautiful display and story to go with my history. Though I loved how you pinpoint my ancestry, it was Very light on information. I didn’t know how to follow up, research my tribe , or reach out to others from my tribe. How close to these other people am I ( first cousin second...)?

For $200+ I thought I would receive more than a certificate. I wanted more research about the tribe.

you get a certificate of your testing, and a sheet that says what tribe you're from. Nothing else.
