I really wanted to like them

I really wanted to like them, especially after my first experience, which went absolutely smoothly, so I kept giving them many chances. Sadly, they haven't been able to replicate that first experience. Don't get me wrong, it's been awful, but I'm giving two stars rather than one, because of that first seamless experience.

On one of my experiences, they just completely ignored my order, never mind I'd paid for next-day delivery. After eventually getting through to them, they apologised that "A colleague hadn't 'fulfilled' my order". Say what now? I haven't received my order on the ext day, since that first time.

And for this last straw, I received a call on the day I was expecting my order to say they didn't have any fresh Ugu and wondered if I would be happy with frozen Ugu instead. I declined and asked for a refund of the cost of the Ugu. I was disappointed the order wasn't arriving that day. I asked "so my order won't be arriving today?" They apologised and said it would have to be the next day. Disappointed as I was, I rescheduled plans for next day (Someone else was doing the cooking which i needed the foodstuff for). Made plans and got ready to receive the order on the day (the promised next day). She was on standby and all was ready, then a phone call from them - what do you know? They wanted to know if i would be happy with frozen Ugu as they were out of fresh Ugu. Honestly, you can't make this up. AGAIN??? My first question was "So I won't be getting my order today?" Again, very polite staff, they replied with"No, I'm sorry, it will have to be tomorrow". So i asked for a full refund of my order. To their credit, the refund came within minutes.

It is cheaper for me to buy these things from a shop not too far from me, but, out of personal principle, I choose to shop there for socio-ethical reasons. Sad to say, I can't endure the rigmarole anymore, and they have now lost a customer. I wish them well.

Very Good

I had a great experience. I ordered 4 items and the package came on time and the items were all in good condition. No problems here.

Poor with a capital P

They say you can always tell the quality of a company when things go wrong. Well you certainly can with Afrobuy. No response, no response, no response. A treat of a poor review, immediate promises. No action, no response, no response no product, no return of payment, no response.
What does that tell you about the quality of this company? Let's put it this way, we won't be using them again....ever.

Avoid at all cost.

The worst experience ever, my perishables arrived a day late so you can imagine.

You do not have a way of getting in contact with them, their phone line does not work nor email it's attrocious.

So if you have a problem you are not resolving this through them, you need to go through your payment source so avoid them while you can.

Poor Service please avoid

This company does not deserve a star I bought perishables that were meant to be delivered next day but scheduled Friday delivery failed and the package was redelivered Monday with rotten chickens. I have been trying to reach out to them sending emails phone calls and no response. Please they just take money for perishables that they don't deliver on time. Stay away. It's a zero service. Poor

Really poor experience

Really poor experience. I haven’t received my order which was placed on 27th August 2025. I called, left voicemails, sent emails with no response. A really poor service. You’re taking money and not honouring the order!

AVOID this company

AVOID this company! I ordered 100 coconuts for a school fair. They sent the package to another address, took weeks to resend it to us, then only 1/2 of the delivery arrived, so they refunded half. Then they started sending coconuts every month - they made the PayPal payment a subscription, even though there is nowhere on the site that even offers that and I made the purchase as a one off. So now someone in another part of the country got 100 coconuts in July and August, and I'm paying for it!
