James and his team, who I deal with regularly as a church organist, were very professional, sensitive and efficient. I could not fault them. They are, in my opinion, the best in the area.

We used Freemantles for my dads funeral. We dealt with Claire at the Botley branch and from the outset we were treated with kindness and compassion. Claire was both efficient and professional, she explained everything in a clear way and made sure that we were happy with everything that was going on. I felt confident that everything was being dealt with and that things would run smoothly, and this proved to be the case. Claire ensured that my mum's wishes were followed and all of our requirements were met. I fully recommend Freemantles for a personal, compassionate and friendly service. Whilst I hope not to have to use them again any time soon, it is good to know that they are there when needed.
And it's also worth mentioning that I think they are good value for money. Thank you to Claire and the team.

Kate was utterly brilliant from start to finish during the sad and exhausting process following my Dad's death.

We managed to do the funeral very quickly and there is absolutely no way we could have done so without her.

There are so many things to consider. We wouldn't have known where to begin.

She regularly went above and beyond to ensure that everything was handled both efficiently and sensitively, which I imagine is a very rare combination.

Seemingly always available, Kate felt like a confidante at the toughest moments, with her reassuringly pragmatic yet warm and sympathetic manner.

We also asked her to officiate the funeral, which she did with a sincerity that is impossible to fake. She took time to gauge the perfect tone for Dad's funeral, rather than opt for a one-size-fits all, detached approach.

Everyone who attended has since commented on how good she was.

I can't imagine what we would have done without her and the whole team at Freemantle. It's tough to be organised when you're emotional and exhausted, but they held our hand through every step of the way.

Very sadly I lost 3 very close members of my family over the course of last year (2018). My children and brothers and sisters were so grateful to be able to use A H Freemantle on each occasion. It was so nice to be able to have a familiar face to help us through what was a very difficult year.

I was very pleased with their service. They were very professional, empathetic. Cost wise it was very good value given the service they provided

James and team made a very challenging time seamless, very professional, took the lead on managing/coordinating many things for my Mother and I. Attention to detail, support and advice was impeccable. Highly recommend in what is a stressful time for any family, actually reduced the friction and stress.

Efficient service but at the same time very personal, compassionate & friendly.

The staff here treated my Step-Mum and I like family. They took care of everything, kept us updated every step. The courtesy call to let us know Dad was with them, whilst only a small thing, meant the world. They treated Dad like their own and clearly looked after him. The surroundings are comforting and homely. The co-op central morgue would've been so upsetting for us.
They even host a Christmas service for clients every year. This comes at an expense to them, however their only goal is to offer comfort to those grieving.
Without the help of AH Freemantle, the already traumatic experience of losing my Dad would've been infinitely tougher.
Cost was never a question, we wanted Dad looked after. I'd have taken a loan out if need be. However I was shocked to receive a quote at least £2000 cheaper than I anticipated.
I would recommend anyone trust these lovely, beautiful, kind people to look after their loved ones....and them.

Organising a funeral is never expected to be a joyous task and most people have very little knowledge of what it entails. However, Freemantle's make the entire experience as seamless as is possible, providing exactly the right amount of support and empathy. Most importantly, they listened to everything that we didn't want, so that my father got exactly the send off that he would have wanted.
I cannot recommend more highly.
