The original phone and replacement are different

The original phone they sent me was defected. I used it very little until i had the replacement money. I went in and requested a replacement because when i tried to call i was put on hold for 2-3 hrs at a time and when it came to my turn, they disconnected. The replacement came in today and was a totally different phone. Thats not a replacement. Stay clear of this company

This is the worst wireless company…

This is the worst wireless company ever. They turn your internet off they don't just slow it down, so your phone doesn't work. I couldn't access my bus card for almost 2 weeks. Too much new internet stuff going on, it's pure fraud. Don't trust them. Plus no one at customer service when you call and no one calls you back. And they get you for top up, they even charged my card without my permission. It's supposed to be a lifeline phone, not a sandbox.

Thank you for your comment. Could you confirm if the plan you selected includes data? If the plan does not cover data, that could explain the lack of data service.

I am satisfied with the phone while inside the USA but unhappy with international data access

I am satisfied with the phone and the internet service inside the US. My review is about low-quality customer service. I was overseas, and I was unable to use data on my phone. Everyone else in my group was using T-Mobile, and they were able to use data. Upon returning, I called Airvioce to clarify why this had happened and what could be done for reliable internet access while outside the US. All I heard from the agent was that Airvoice has no service abroad. I told her that I could access data on my previous trip, but the agent kept repeating the same words repeatedly as if she were an answering machine and not a person. I didn't get an answer and I asked to connect me to the supervisor. She said that I would be waiting online indefinitely for over 3 hours. Rude and unprofessional.

I paid for a month of service with…

I paid for a month of service with Airvoice, just to only get two weeks of service. For the other two weeks I had no service. Customer service is extremely rude and unhelpful. My service didn’t start working again until the bill was due. I called them again and sent proof of every day I had no service. They told me just because my phone said no service, doesn’t mean I didn’t have service. Boost mobile is cheaper and more reliable. Don’t waste your money on Air Voice.

Phone won’t connect since a month ago

Phone won’t connect since a month ago. The same phone has been on their network for five years. Multiple messages (mostly unanswered) and chat only succeeded in them insisting I buy a new phone from them, even though the apn code on the sim is locking me out. Sent complaint to state consumer division. This was once a great company until sold recently

AirVoice is the absolute WORST phone…

AirVoice is the absolute WORST phone DISservice I HAVE EVER HAD!!!! I shouldn't have to pay anything- they should be paying me!? I'm supposed to have the free government phone plan- but that plan doesn't have enough data to handle my TeleHealth doctor visits, so I switched to the ”unlimited data" plan... Apparently with this company, in order to add data to your phone, they have to shut your service off, and then you have to wait forever while they send you a new SIM card, and that makes you have a new phone number!? What a pain! They force you into a 6 month contract, and right when you pay your bill, your phone works like a charm the first few days, but then it acts like it ran out of UNLIMITED DATA!? It slows WAY DOWN, and EVERY FIVE MINUTES YOU HAVE TO RESET YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION AND/OR TOGGLE AIRPLANE MODE CUZ IT SAYS NO CONNECTION!? And GOOOOD LUCK ON EVER GETTING A HUMAN ON THE PHONE, AFTER YOU SPEND HOURS ON IGNORE ON THE PHONE WITH THEIR COMPUTER!! GRRRRR!!!

Absolute worst provider I have ever…

Absolute worst provider I have ever had. First off the app keeps saying it needs to be updated, even after uninstalling and installing the app it still does this and once the pop-up comes up you can't do anything else. Then when I try and switch plans, it gives me a error so I can not switch plans. Since I can not switch plans, I try and top up my data and guess what...you guessed it, I get a error so now that I can't switch plans or top up my data, I have no way of getting online. Then I call customer service, after being on hold a recording comes on and says everyone is busy assisting other customers to leave a message BUT then it says the person can not accept messages at this time AND that a error has occurred. I will be dropping this "provider" as soon as my other SIM cards come in the mail. AirVoice wireless sucks!!!

I’m teetering on the edge of changing…

I’m teetering on the edge of changing companies. AirVoice bought out my carrier, no problem. I called to transfer my number and they had already done it, no problem. Now I’m waiting and waiting and the SIM doesn’t arrive, and my phone service stops. Big problem! I call and am assured the SIM will arrive very soon. 3 weeks later no SIM. Turns out they sent the Sim to an address I haven’t lived at for 7 years. Big, Big Problem. They resend the SIM, putting a rush on it (3 weeks is not a rush). I finally get my phone back. Less then a month later, I lose service again. Problem. I call, the customer service rep can’t speak English, and apparently can’t understand it either. I ask for another English speaking rep. no go. Problem becoming big! Ask for supervisor, the rep just repeats the phrase, “ in this case we do,” in what case, I want to speak to a person who understands my language. Big Problem. Three days later, miraculously my service turns back on. Now, I’m wondering if I should just switch companies, or will the next one be as bad? I understand problems with the system happens, but having people who don’t understand the language, if they had, could have simply informed my of the problem is really not good business.

I've been trying to get in contact with…

I've been trying to get in contact with customer service my phone is not charging and the phone that I received was nothing like the phone I chose or nothing equal to it or greater value as y'all said. The one I did choose it said it was in stock at the time that I chose it and then there was a delay so I'm not very happy because I have no phone it won't charge and it's barely turning on in the charger is not working.

I am between a rock and a hard place…

I am between a rock and a hard place with this company they claimed to send me a SIM card for my transfer, and confused my daughters SIM card that was already sent, and I never received mine. I’ve been without cellular service for 5 days, I’m a mother of two in a single adult household working 40hr/weeks one of my children is disabled. I NEED my phone line. regardless of how inexpensive the plan is, it is a service I have paid for and have the right to receive. I have made countless attempts to make contact through email and the customer service number, customer service is almost unreachable, cannot provide a transfer pin or agree to unlock phone. Finally I was able to reach a kind individual whom was willing to priority ship my SIM card yesterday, thank You to that guy. Everyone else in spite of my kind demeanor was very rude. If your already trapped, I want to offer a very useful tip: Airvoice Wireless provides a 5 digit PIN number to reach customer service in your account, however when prompted by phone when calling customer service the automated message requests a 6 digit pin. I had to change my 5 digit pin that Airvoice wireless provided in my account to a 6 digit pin and was finally able to reach a representative. If your on the fence about this service, I’m sure there are many other cellular services that will be adequate in comparison.
