Switching from a Risco Alarm system to Ajax was an excellent decision.

Easy installation & clear activation.
Being used as a deterrent for people opening fire exits. Works extremely well.
If there was one fault, it is the fact that the alarm alert is rather short.
It would be good if it had CCTV attached to indicate when the doors were opened & by whom.
Other than that, a fine product.

I started using the Ajax system in January for my new house. Initially, I acquired just one MotionCam Outdoor detector and a door contact sensor. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the sophistication of Ajax products—most notably that there was no need to drill into the house to run cables. The wireless sensors operate via radio technology, communicating with the central unit using the encrypted "Jeweller" radio signal. Furthermore, the fact that the outdoor sensors are battery-powered—capable of withstanding extreme temperatures ranging from -25°C to +60°C, with a battery life of 5 to 7 years—sets the Ajax system apart from other manufacturers that rely on Wi-Fi and cloud-based solutions. This ensures that security and functionality remain intact even during internet or power outages. The Hub features a backup battery and a secondary connection to the app via a SIM card. Another major advantage is that the MotionCam sensors produce virtually no false alarms, thanks to their installation height (one meter above the ground) and advanced software. In the event of an alarm, the MotionCam sends a series of photos; with the MotionCam PhOD model, you can even request photos on demand. Over time, I added more sensors, such as... The Curtain Dual monitors the area in two directions along the building's facade. There is also the WaterStop—an amazing device that shuts off the main water valve whenever you leave the house or if a leak is detected. I also use an Ajax Transmitter, which can integrate any third-party device into the Ajax system; in my case, I have a safety pressure switch (by Fantini Cosmi) that breaks the contact if the main pressure sensor fails—the connected miniature Transmitter then sends an alarm signal via radio, and the Hub automatically shuts off the pump using a WallSwitch relay. Another great device is the SpaceControl key fob, which allows me to manage security modes—provided I am within range (up to 1,800m)—so I don’t have to use the smartphone app to arm or disarm the system. I also have a siren that can be automated to trigger an unbearable, high-pitched alarm in the event of an intrusion. Installation is straightforward: you simply add a device to the system by scanning its QR code. However, when mounting on an insulated facade, it is a good idea to use a mounting plate secured with long screws, then attach the sensor to that plate using the smaller screws provided. The sensor itself sits in a "SmartBracket" mount; if it is removed, it triggers an alarm. A huge advantage is how simple, well-designed, and intuitive the setup and customization of the entire Ajax system are. You can easily fine-tune and optimize the settings for each individual sensor—whether via the smartphone app or on a computer. You can define how and which sensor reacts in the event of a breach, create automated scenarios, and enable interaction between individual devices. Although the sensors and components come at a higher price point, they are well worth it; these are robust, sophisticated products you can truly rely on. I own only a fraction of the devices Ajax manufactures, yet the benefits are already clear. Most of the devices provide data on signal strength (relative to the central hub), internal sensor temperature, and status information. Furthermore, they are manufactured in Ukraine using high-quality components, including parts from Japan and Korea.

I’ve had a really good impression of the Ajax alarm system. The equipment looks modern, the app is easy to use, and setting up and managing the system is straightforward. I especially like being able to monitor the security of my property directly from my phone and receive notifications when something happens. The system feels well designed, and the wireless devices make installation much cleaner and more convenient. Overall, Ajax offers a great balance of reliability, functionality, and ease of use.
A solid choice for anyone looking for a modern security system for their home or business. Definitely recommended!

It is rare for me to award five stars. I am demanding and have high expectations in general, especially when spending a significant amount of money.
In today’s market, it is difficult to find products that combine high quality, intuitive software, comprehensive user guidance, and prompt, reliable customer support, particularly given the widespread availability of low-cost, low-value alternatives.

I have just one criticism: the overall quality of the product warrants more advanced remote controls featuring rolling-code technology for enhanced protection against cloning, along with higher-quality casings, especially considering the price of each unit.

On several occasions—far too many, in fact—I have accidentally pressed the system’s arming button, triggering the loud siren. I later discovered that the button can be configured to require a double press, but the problem persists with the “Panic” button.

In my opinion, these buttons should at least be recessed or, preferably, protected by sliding covers to prevent accidental activation.

The remote control casing design has effectively cost me an extra €100, as I decided to stop using the lower-grade remote controls to avoid accidentally triggering the alarm and causing an unpleasant disturbance for both myself and my neighbours, and instead purchase the more advanced keypad. Ajax’s development team should take this design flaw into account.

The app is easy to use, and the support team really goes out of their way to assist. I logged an email ticket for assistance, and my issue was resolved within minutes. Great app! Excellent Service!

I had an ongoing issue with my cameras dropping out and assumed it was my Ajax NVR. The Ajax support team were relentless in tracking it down. There was a lot of back and forth, and I'd guess around 15 people were involved at different stages. It must have taken a huge amount of their time.

In the end it turned out the problem was most likely my internet provider and a Wi-Fi configuration, nothing to do with Ajax at all. They still stuck with it until we got to the bottom of it.

I run a business myself, and good customer service is something we work hard to deliver, so I really value it when I see it. I believe the true value of a company shows when things go wrong. A great product and a great data sheet are one thing, but when something goes wrong you want to be looked after, and Ajax absolutely looked after me.
