Horrible to deal with.
Purchased on their website, 2 days later I got an email with them cancelling my order saying

"because we did not have enough stock to fulfill your order and your payment has not yet been refunded"

What do you mean NOT YET REFUNDED?

I would say avoid at all cost and go to competitor companies like noblechairs.

Out of business?

They seem to have vanished from the planet. Not responding to warranty request. My 18month chair has broken, they are impossible to get in contact with. It's like they are gone.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful. What happened to this company???? Used to be a very good company.

Ordered an item on 16th of June, was delivered on the 20th & couldn't be delivered due to wrong address..... So was returned to akracing. (I checked my details & my address was correct)

They redelivered my item to a completely different country, I'm from the UK & they sent it to the Netherlands!!!! It's now apparently been delivered to a neighbour. So hope they enjoy their free item.

I've sent 4 emails, messaged them on X & Facebook with no reply.

Awful company, stay well clear. Luckily PayPal sided with me as I have plenty of screenshots of everything & I got a refund.

Do not waste your money with this company

I placed an order on 24th of May. I have not received anything till date. I messaged the support team and they mentioned some operational issues so I requested a refund.

Then I received an e-mail from them stating my item has been delivered. No one has come to deliver the item on the day they have stated.

Since then I have been sending them an e-mail (there is no contact number) to refund and receiving no response from them.

Very poor customer service. Would not recommend anyone to buy from their website.

4) then told me actually I need to pay but not given any details on how/when

Armrests.

Armrests are so cheaply made. They are falling apart just after 6 Months.
The foam is breaching out from underneath the surface because the arms weight (im rather thin) is just too much for it. Also they bend down, meaning one of the armrests is higher then the other, so now the table edge is higher than the right-side arm rest.

This all is sad, because the rest of the chair is really good. Wouldnt necessarily recommend it though.

Destroyed my life

It is with a sense of genuine disappointment that I feel compelled to express my dissatisfaction with the product acquired from your esteemed company. The inherent flaw in the reclining mechanism, which regrettably appears to persist as a recurring issue, has significantly compromised the intended functionality and usability of the item. Furthermore, the choice of utilizing a textile variant that exhibits an excessively harsh and abrasive texture detracts markedly from the anticipated comfort and quality associated with such a purchase. In light of these pronounced deficiencies, I find it my obligation to dissuade prospective consumers from considering your company as a reliable source for such products.

fake warranty

I bought them the best chair, and last week it broke, now I am trying to contact the warranty but no one is answering, their website's chatbox also does not work. such a waste of money. I hope they go bankrupt. this is stealing.

This brand provides poor warranty…

This brand provides poor warranty service.
The help desk is not assisting or responding AT ALL.
When contacted via Facebook, they claim they are not responsible for the products they create.

This brand has very poor service for their warranty.
The helpdesk is not helping/responding AT ALL.
When contacting them through Facebook they claim they are not responsible for their own product they make.

After facebook messaging with them, due to no respoding them on any emails they have send me this message.

And as said in the message below i contacted the company they told me to contact and PCB is not doing business with AKracing anymore for over 6 years because of the poor quality they deliver.

So mr. Director of AKracing please reply :)

First of all, I am very sorry that you are experiencing problems with your AKRacing chair. As far as I understand from our internal conversations, there has been a certain degree of misunderstanding going on. According to my information, you would like to claim the broken chair under the 5/10 year warranty advertised by AKRacing B.V. on the Overture model you purchased on Nov 30-2020.

Unfortunately, our 5/10 year warranty does not apply to the Overture model, as stated in our official EU Warranty Policy, which Shelly has pointed you to previously: https://eu .akracing. com/pages/warranty-policy. The 5/10-year manufacturer warranty is only applicable to our current product range listed on eu.akracing.com. The Overture model is not and never was part of this range. In fact, AKRacing B.V. never officially carried the Overture model in the EU and therefore has no a) legal obligation or b) technical possibility to offer a warranty for this chair simply because we never offered it for sale and do not have replacement parts for the chair.

The Overture model you purchased was sold in the EU by a 3rd party distributor, PCB that is not affiliated with AKRacing BV. They are the importer of the product and therefore have a legal obligation to service the product for their advertised warranty term. The warranty terms for AKRacing products distributed by PCB can be found on their website: https://akracingeurope .eu/warranty-policies/. Specifically, they read: "Manufacturer Warranty
Thank you for your interest in the products and services of AKRacing Europe.
This Limited Manufacturer Warranty applies to all products purchased from AKRacing Europe or any of our official resellers.
What does this limited warranty cover?
This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the first two years from the date of purchase."

I would therefore recommend reaching out to PCB and requesting warranty service for the Overture model from them as you are still within your 2-year warranty term until November 30-2022. You can contact PCB at akracing @pcb.se or, if you don't hear back, here is a mode detailed list of contact information with phone numbers: https://pcb. se/en/Meny/Contact

In case PCB refuses to warrant your claim, I may suggest opening a chargeback with your bank for the transaction because you're being refused service for a product within its warranty period.

Ignored Warranty Request

A leg on the plastic base of my chair snapped after only a year and a half of use, well within the advertised 5 year manufacturer guarantee. I've sent them two, polite messages about it - both of which were completely ignored, that was a week ago now.

I'm now having to go out of pocket and buy a replacement base myself - as I can't keep chasing them up forever and refuse to be without a functional office chair for any longer.

The chair was not cheap either, part of the reason I decided to spend the extra money on the AKRacing brand was because I thought their products were good quality, and the 5 year guarantee assured me of that. Turns out its complete bogus and the company couldn't care less about their customers or honouring their warranty.

I'll be saving myself the money and hassle, and avoiding anything to do with AKRacing in the future - and would advise everyone to do the same.

Impossible to find spare parts

Impossible to find spare parts ! Inadmissible for a company that sells products at this price tag... specially for armrest that is the common part to be replaced and that are bad quality made from the start !
I put one star but there should be a zero star available for rating...

Really poor cmmunication.

Really poor cmmunication.

After numerous mails they just stop replying to me.
My chair is around 2 years old, send them the invoice i received from my retailer. And say there is no warranty on it while on their website they claim the following :

Warranty Policy
AKRacing B.V. promises to repair or replace any AKRacing chair that is found to be defective in material or workmanship within five (5) and years from the date of original purchase so long as you, the original purchaser, still owns it. AKRacing further warrants the steel frame for a period of ten (10) years. The warranty is not transferrable. This is your sole and exclusive remedy. This warranty is subject to the provisions below.

Worst quality products

After using for Opal office chair for three months , the tilt mechanism was not working and cloth covering started coming off . I contacted the
support to check the warranty and they agreed to replace the tilt and seat but they didnt have any parts . After 4 months of chasing them via phone and email and i got a email its a normal wear and tear . Akracing warranty means nothing .Below is the email

Dont buy from AKRacing / Kauft nicht von AKRacing

Kurz vorab: Kauft nicht eure Stühle von AKRacing!

Ich habe mir vor zwei Jahren im April / Mai einen Stuhl von AKRacing über Amazon bestellt. Die letzten zwei Jahre hat er mich auch durchgängig für mehrere Stunden täglich zuverlässig durch das Leben begleitet. Absolut genialer Stuhl (gewesen!).

Vor ca 3 Wochen bin ich schlagartig in der Sitzneigung nach hinten gefallen. Eine Person mit weniger Reflex hätte sich durchaus schwer verletzen können, indem sie hinten über kippt. Nachdem ich am Abend dazu gekommen bin mir die Mechanik näher anzusehen, habe ich festgestellt, dass ein Schraubbolzen mit ca 8-10mm Stärke gebrochen ist. Unfassbar... Selbst mit meinem hohen Gewicht (welches jedoch innerhalb der Spezifikationen des Stuhls liegt) ist das einfach nicht zu fassen und kann nur auf eine billige Produktion oder einen schwerwiegenden Produktionsfehler zu schließen lassen.

Ich habe am darauffolgendem Tag direkt Kontakt mit AKRacing Europe aufgenommen, welche mir prompt auch am nächsten Tag antworteten. Ich solle mich an Amazon wenden, da ich dort den Stuhl gekauft habe. Ich bin allerdings überhaupt nicht mehr von der gesetzlichen Gewährleistung gedeckt und der Stuhl hat ja immerhin 5 Jahre Herstellergarantie.

Als ich dies dem Support mitteilte mit der erneuten Bitte (und später Aufforderung) sich um den Garantiefall zu kümmern, habe ich keine Antwort mehr erhalten. Mittlerweile inzwischen 5 eMails (sowohl direkt per eMail, wie auch Kontaktformular) bleiben weiterhin unbeantwortet.

Im nächsten Schritt werde ich versuchen mich an die Hauptstelle von AKRacing zu wenden, aber das ist wirklich eine Katastrophe für die Firma in Europa. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert, lasst die Finger weg!

I ordered a chair from AKRacing through Amazon two years ago in April / May. For the past two years he has reliably accompanied me through life for several hours a day. Absolutely brilliant chair (was!).

About 3 weeks ago I suddenly fell backwards in the seat tilt. A person with less reflex could have been seriously injured by falling over behind. After I got to take a closer look at the mechanics in the evening, I noticed that a screw bolt with a thickness of about 8-10mm had broken. Unbelievable ... Even with my high weight (which is, however, within the specifications of the chair) it is simply unbelievable and can only lead to a cheap production or a serious production defect.

I contacted AKRacing Europe directly on the following day, and they promptly replied to me the next day. I should contact Amazon as I bought the chair there. However, I am no longer covered by the statutory warranty at all and the chair has at least a 5-year manufacturer's guarantee.

When I reported this to the support with the renewed request (and later request) to take care of the warranty case, I did not receive an answer. Meanwhile 5 emails (both directly by email and contact form) remain unanswered.

In the next step I will try to contact the AKRacing headquarters, but this is really a disaster for the company in Europe. Absolutely not recommendable, stay away from it!
