Scam website

alertsforyou and alerts4u, they are all belong to a company(4130kinetic). I found I lost 29.99 every month and I even didn't know these websites, the things happened after I scanned the QR code of a restaurant to see the menu. I'm sure I didn't auth any payment!
It's shame that UK gov did nothing to this kind of scam.

UNSOLICIATED CHARGE

I received a charge from this company and had signed up for nothing! It is in dispute with my credit card at this moment! I have no idea what this company does nor what type of service it is! Very unnerving! BEWARE and keep an eye on your credit cards!

Total fraud

This is a fraudulent company who have taken 29.99 out of my bank account. I've never heard of them. I will be taking it up with my bank. Unbelievable that complete strangers can just take money like this. They must have tricked me into agreeing to something i would never have knowingly done .

This company is a zero star!

Scam scam scam scam.

Overseas company. Asian customer services, refuse refunds, then only allow 50% if you haggle and complain with verve!

They sent 85 texts costing me 1.50 from an apparent subscription I was unaware of completing! Thats a total of 127.50. Thousands of people are scammed this same way. Like me hadn't noticed until now!

What you can do about it!

Contact the company on the number they provide. Stop it immediately. Threaten them with the Phone service authority.org.uk.

Contact the PSA inform them of this scam! They will investigate! Please do this for those that may not be unaware of being billed!

Stay clear of tesco mobile as they do not want to put steps in place to protect their customers.

I have just realised while upgrading my 12 year olds daughter's Tesco Mobile plan that this robbing company has been sending premium rate texts to her phone, for over 6 months maybe longer. Contacting Tesco mobile tomorrow as my daughter has no idea how this has happened. This company should be shut down and the owners prosecuted for the scam.

Be very careful SCAM

Whilst trying to set up Hobbeycraft App this site infiltrated process and signed me up for allerts at £1.50 a text. Very easy to do and totally fraudulent as far as i am concerned. It then immefiately sent me 3 alerts itself.
- i called O2 who were obviously aware of this site and put a plan payment limit on my phone just in case. Surprised they can't stop this.
- They told me to text STOP ALL to text number provided to prevent further alerts. This says charges will be applied.
- still waiting to see what this scam will cost me.

This is a fraud

This is a fraud. I started getting emails from Alerst4u. I am not interested in such things and blocked the site. Then find I am being charged. How do you get the money back. It looks like action needed by the police as this is robbery and if nothing done I will report it to them.

Total scam I fell for unwittingly

Total scam I fell for unwittingly. I was actually googling midway point between 2 addresses and got an alert asking for phone number and email. I gave details because I thought this was from the enquiry I was making. Before I could blink, I'd had several rapid fired premium rated text messages from Alerts 4 U which blew my phone buffer. I rang my Mobile provider for help/advice and they put a ban on premium calls for me. Also refunded buffer.

Scam/Fraud alert

Total and blatant scam. Sending reverse charge text messages to random phone numbers. They send useless texts which they reverse charge you for £1.50 per week up to £4.50 per week. The texts contain useless, insulting actually, links to recieve up to 10% off a set of farmers rakes (Seriously, thats how absurd it is) Others say 'get up to 50% off Matalan sale' as if they have negotiated a special deal with Matalan, when really the link just takes you to Matalan's home page that has 50% off for ANYONE visiting their page which you could have found by yourself. And so it goes on. Someone at Alerts4U must just literally scan the web to see companies declaring special officers on their homepage and text you a link to make it seem a legitimate alert service. It really is just a scam which is skirting on what appears legal. They have registered as a legal business as a members only text alert scheme. Some people say they were being signed up unwittingly whilst scanning QR codes at several legitimate big businesses such as Sainsbury's. Other people that they were signing up for one service but this lot had some how sneaked their application in and folk were signing up for them with their details when they thought they were signing up for the company or service who's page they'd opened. And, as I say it seems they are even just sending texts to random numbers. To end their ludicrous texts you have to text STOP but that also costs £1,50. It's very clever as by only sending £4.40 of texts many people don't realise what's happening for a while. And the authorities are not going to see it as a priority as they are only scamming £4.50 per week. But some old people have lost a couple of hundred pounds. People think blocking it as spam ends it. It 100% does not. Blocking them only blocks you actually receiving message on your phone. But they still reach your phone provider and you are charged. Even if you know all about this now and text STOP after the first text. You are still £3.00 down as your paying for that initial message they sent then another £1.50 to text STOP. Even if every person realised and dealt with it immediately, all those thousands of £3.00s adds up to a tidy sum for these inscrutable scammers. Shockingly, the phone providers can't even block them. News at Ten done a report about this lot and similar companies and how the authorities were doing nothing to clamp down. And John Mann MP has been speaking out about it. There have been a few cases were some body/quango has fined and closed a few outfits. But the fine isn't paid as its a limited company who just declare themselves bankrupt and the operators just immediately start up another operation under a different name. They should be in prison.

WATCH OUT for this SCAM

Do not have anything to do with these people. I have been receiving texts from 85004 for weeks on my O2 phone. I had no idea what they were and didn't want any of them as they were useless. I then bared the number. Then I checked mu O2 bill and found that they had been charging me £1.50 for the privilege of receiving useless unwanted text messages. I was upset but thought I had stopped it by baring the number but no.
I was still being charged £1.50 each few days or so.
I have since sent them a text saying stop which I understand will stop them.

Beware of this scam

Alerts4U is a scam....sending you texts…

Alerts4U is a scam....sending you texts you don't want, didn't sign up for for something you're not interested in. It's easy money for them because you have to send them a STOP message to a number which you get charged for. Why aren't service providers banning these people and stopping premium texts coming from 85004? How many people are being shafted by these crooks? No one is helping to stop these scams although they now customers are not signing up for this crap. The networks are happy to keep taking our bill payments but do little to protect us from crime!
