I worked with Nadeem and Alison Law to represent my wife's visit visa application. Nadeem and team members are very knowledgeable and responded to all my questions via email in a timely manner. They made sure all the documents were submitted and fees were paid on time, very accurate, gave the opportunity to review and impressed on how their team organized the supporting documents. We started the process right before December started, and my wife got her visa approved a week ago. During this unprecedented time, all my concerns were taken seriously, and they provided practical solutions to it. I highly recommend Nadeem to my family and friends with their immigration process. Also, I would like to thank their team for working on my application especially Rizwan and helping us throughout the process. Overall, I had a great experience during this process, and I trust them.

A perfect professional and great solicitor

Talat was very effective getting my applications through all the required processes. She is very meticulous, detail oriented and timely. She and her team Riz followed all the necessary steps, never missed deadlines, expedited the procedures, and made sure everything submitted was perfect down to the smallest detail. Talat is wonderful not only as a professional but also as a friend and coach, makes the psychological factor of going through the applications much easier and less stressful. In summary, a great solicitor and individual. I had a great experience with Alison Law, so they were very efficient, detailed oriented and highly professional. I highly recommend them for anyone who is facing immigration issues.

My immigration case is very long and at some point, it got very serious and complicated. I was sent to the home office for an interview to finish my immigration case where my asylum case was denied. I was stuck even though my whole family, including my children and husband were in the UK. Too many details would be required to explain everything, but most of the legal aid lawyers could not offer any help. We were getting desperate and started to lose hope. This is when Rizwan introduced us to Talat at Alison Law who came up with an idea and a plan to help me. We knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but it turned out that Talat and her team knew exactly how to navigate my situation. Thanks to Talat, I was able to come to the uk with a reunion visa. She saw hope where we did not, but because we trusted her expertise we managed to persevere. I will be grateful forever and will always recommend Talat for all your immigration needs. She made the impossible-possible.

On the 6th of December, I had a consultation with Shelly Karim about submitting a fiancée visa for my partner. Initially, I agreed to start the process of doing a fiancée visa for my partner; however, a few hours later, my partner and I had a change of heart about doing this with Alison Law. Reasons included the new increased salary thresholds set out by the government and other specific reasons from my fiancée's point of view.

On the same day, after the consultation, I requested a refund from Alison Law. At this point, I had signed no contract with Alison Law, and essentially, I hadn't started any work on any potential visa case. From the consultation, I was informed that they offer a 14-day refund policy, all of which I have recorded via my fiancée, who was also on the call. To be clear, at this point, all I have done is submit a large sum of money to Alison Law, and within a few hours, I had requested a full refund. Now, you would think this would be a simple process of returning my money, considering no contract was signed between myself and Alison Law, and no work started on any case. How wrong I was. From this point onwards, I have failed to be given any refund. I have multiple emails of me requesting this and some replies, some of which were tried to be recalled by Alison Law. Good for me that modern technology allows me to screenshot every conversation I have had with them on this matter.

To be clear, I have been in touch with the SRS on the matter and have been told by the Legal Ombudsman to write an official complaint on the matter, which I did on the 18th of December. I was then told that they don't respond to any refund requests, which should all be handled by my handler. The problem is, no one seems to tell me who my handler is when I have asked or respond to my calls when attempting to call. At this point, I would have more chance of Spurs winning the league (yes, my team 😊) than Alison Law responding to any of my emails and refund requests.

I now have to wait the full 8 weeks, advised by the Legal Ombudsman team, for their response on the matter before I can begin them helping me on the theft of my money, which at this point is exactly what it is. No doubt, I will have a fun legal response below to my written review from Alison Law, which I look forward to reading. Just know that I have multiple proofs of all our conversations, saying you would be back in touch by the end of each working day and me requesting my refund multiple times, screenshots, and audio conversations.

My message to anyone considering using their service: please don't. I actually beg you not to. I am not one to leave anyone a bad review, but they have fully tested my patience and my mental health on this matter. Now I have to take to Trustpilot in the hope that no one else finds themselves in my situation.

I have replied to Mohammed today via email and also emailed the help team at Alison law, after he instructed that I contact them after this review. I will now wait for he response.

17th January update. I have responded to the email, you still haven't told me what a good will gesture is when I have submitted a large amount of my money over to Alison Law and have signed no contract. What should I be signing and why do I need to sign anything when essentially you have taken by money and not refunded me a penny of it when I asked to cancel on the first day I made payment to Alison Law, you have failed to engage in any properly manner in resolving my refund only with cryptic messages on email about making a good will gesture. A good will gesture would be Alison Law refunding my money that you owe me, please don't try and make like you have helped me in anyway with my refund when you have clearly failed to act within the 14 day refund policy that you stated. I will now wait another 48hours for a reply back on this matter inline with your so called excellent customer service which is truly awful

They left my mother's case in limbo for longer than I care to remember, and left her feeling unnecessarily distressed. All forms of communication from us (calls, emails) were either ignored or left unaddressed. We submitted a complaint to the firm & were advised we'd hear back within 8 weeks, but this didn't happen either.

I called Alison Law Solicitors out of hours as my matter was urgent as I needed visa advice for a relative. I received a prompt call back from Riz who was helpful and knowledgeable. A professional caring team who I will be using again when needed. Thank you!!

I am very happy the service I have received from Alison law.
They are very hard working and guide me through the whole process specially Nadeen Akhter and Fariha Ahmed they helped me a lot.

Riz was very friendly and professional. He gave us detailed information about the whole process of visa application and informed us of each step.

Very bad firm very unprofessional. Took them 8 months to give me a refund. My calls were disconnected case workers do not meet time frames and ignore emails and dont answer calls. Communication is pathetic. They do not get back to you in 48 hours so do not believe this statement. All they are quick to do is take your money. This company gave me stress and anxiety. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR TIME AND MONEY!

I will paste my husbands review here as they have wasted too much of my time already.

My wife (Ashley) attempted to use these solicitors for her UK visa application. As it was a rush, they (Shelly) quoted us a (huge) fee of £2500, with the provision that they would rush the application through within 48 hours. As we contacted them on Saturday (December 9th), they promised to start our application on Monday, and have a draft of the application completed by Tuesday evening. We paid the fee, and on Monday received a call (not from our case worker, Azkah Habib, but from a person named Iram Zafar), and we were sent a questionnaire to fill in. We filled in the questionnaire, then received no more communication. We called on Tuesday for an update, and were told our case worker was unavailable, but would be left a message. On Wednesday, past the promised deadline of when our application would be sent off and completed, we called again, at 9:40am, and were told to call back in an hour, as again, our caseworker was unavailable. We called back again at 11:17am and were told once again, they were unavailable. At 2:25pm we called again, and once again, were told our caseworker was unavailable. We called again at 4:30pm, and this time they hung up on us 3 times, until we called back from another number. On Thursday, we finally received an email asking for documents urgently (these should have already been sent on Tuesday as per the rush fees). We left work, and sent the documents over within the hour. We then heard nothing back from them until we called again later in the day, at which point they promised the draft application would be completed by the end of the work day. When we called again, we were told by a man named Riz Ahmed, that our draft had been sent. We checked our emails (including our junk folder), and surprise surprise, nothing. He said he would get in touch with our case worker and call us back before end of business. This never happened. On Friday the 15th (today), we called around 9:40am, and once again, we were told by Riz that the draft was sent last night, another lie. When we told them that it wasn't, we told him that if it wasn't done by 6pm, that we would do the application ourselves (which we now have done). He promised that by 6pm we would have our draft. We called back at 5pm for an update, and Riz then promised we would have the draft by 7pm. To no surprise, this did not happen, and as of 8:28pm we have heard nothing from these solicitors. Our application is now complete (by ourselves), and 3 days after cancelling and asking for a refund, they tried to send me the work that should have been completed 6 days prior.

Still waiting for my refund.

Above & beyond a consultation
I have talked to several lawyers before consulting Talat and with great clarity, she gave me the most realistic consultation. When my documents are getting more proving, I'll consider her as my lawyer. Based just on our brief talk, I believe Talat is a fierce, hard-working solicitor who would do anything in her capacity to make sure the success of your case. Without a relationship established, Talat with no hesitation has already given to me her best advice to improve my situation. This is giving me great motivation and targets to work for, putting down disappointment of my status. If she is keeping this enthusiasm to every of her clients, I don't know the next time we talk, she still has time for my case. :)

We hired Talat and her team to assist with our marriage-based spouse visa application. We approached several law firms initially but after an initial virtual meeting with Talat, during which she took a lot of time to explain all the relevant steps and laws, we decided to proceed with Alison Law. We felt well cared for by everyone on the team throughout the process. The document preparation was time-consuming and required a lot of back and forth, but we could not have done it without the support of the Alison Law team. Our application is now submitted to the government, and we still have a long way to go before everything is done, but we feel relieved to know that we submitted the best possible application thanks to Talat and her team. Alison Law stands out for their knowledge and expertise, but also for their customer-cantered approach. We got comprehensive and fast advise whenever we needed it, whether related to our petition or other immigration questions. We highly recommend Talat and her team without reservations.

I contacted Alison law about a visa for my partner (24/7) and at first they were great, but once I paid the fee that's when it went down hill (28/7- onwards).

They barely reach out to help you, you have to constantly call them as ask them to send certain things over or to check the documents. The date for the biometrics but no times or forms until the actual day of the appointment. My partner received her passport with the visa but we never received no confirmation no email, no contact at all since the biometrics information was sent to us, we've called so many times to get hold of our case worker (Nadeem) and we always get told he cant come to the phone but he will call back he never calls back. I even called today and the woman answering the phone had no customer service and stated they would call back but she didn't even take note of my name and couldn't find the case details, on when I stated this to her did she reply in a rude manor of "well what's your name"
my partner has booked her flight last month and to day she fly's in around 5 hours and they haven't reached contacted us backs after so many calls and emails. we just have to hope we hadn't needed to bring any confirmation stuff.

If this company actually sorted their communication with their customers and other members put in as much effort as the sales team does they wouldn't be half bad. I would avoid this company where possible.

Nadeem Akhtar and Raisah Ahmed are both handling my son’s case.
They are just after people hard earned money.

Avoid!!! It’s a joke not solicitors! Lack of professionalism, poor customer service and communication non existent! They first to take your money but last to deliver the promises!

SCAM - AVOID!!
To put it simply they will get your money, end of it. No work no follow up, they will block your number if you ask daily updates becaused they fail to give you any update or whatsover.
If you need help with immigration issues: good luck with that.
I paid full in advance and after 4 weeks no action at all. I managed to get half my money back, after 6 months ana numbers of emails threataning to remove all negative comments from they website.

My experience with Alison Law Solicitors was exceptional. I have no regrets seeking their assistance.
Shelly Karim showed concern from the beginning. She understood the urgency of my matter and was willing to help. I spent over an hour on the phone with her as she gathered information and gave guidance as to what I needed to do. She was professional in every way.
Nadeem was very helpful and reassuring, he updated me on any progress made. In the end my ILR application was approved.
