Be wary buying expensive Oak wardrobes- buying abroad & waiting times are abysmal on purchasing through website- also Allan's take details- mobile phone/emails but they never give a proper estimate on when goods are arriving nor the companies that dispatch goods offer texts/updates on goods purchased abroad - it seems like a big scam & Allan's has the audacity to make their clients wait months for items never arriving nor confirming about goods being dispatched on time etc & only
interested in making sales by sweet talking staff .

I bought an entire ground floor of moduleo LVT flooring from Allan's.

I've since discovered that they charge more than other suppliers of the same product.

They also operate the same "preferred installer" service as most of these small scale places, whereby they recommend and appoint a separate company to install the floor.

In this case it was L11 Flooring.

In essence this means neither company takes responsibility for anything after they've been paid several thousands of pounds each.

Allan's never responded to any emails or calls about the issues, despite promising that if there were any issues with the fitting, they would take care of it.

After over 2 months of chasing Allan's and/or the fitter to fix peeling floor tiles, lumpy screed, uneven surfaces, loose threshold bars, creaking plywood, I've given up.

I'll be looking elsewhere in future.

Ordered Trieste corner suite in June as my hubby is terminally ill and needs a comfy larger suite as he spends a lot of time sleeping on a unsuitable couch.. Gave them over £2k of our money. Big mistake they promised up to 12 week delivery. Now at 16 weeks no suite despite telling us a few weeks ago that it would be 1-2 further weeks max as it was on a container in transit. What a load of lies and excuses.. this morning they phoned and said there was a problem and delivery is now estimated end of December. ??.. what company takes your money and has you waiting nearly 7 months for delivery. It’s still advertised on their website as 6-8 week delivery!!. AVOID this shambles of a company.

This is a genuine review. I baught a leather sofa that disintegrated after 2 years. But i noticed it peeling at parts after a year. Replacement different one doing the same. Their suites are made with appallingly cheap material and just fall apart after about 2 years. Saw many others saying the same. Rude staff and delivery staff as well. Had goods arrive damaged and their guys just sliding them about on the ground up on end. Be warned. Avoid.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, absolute cowboys waited over a year for them to finish my floors, blamed covid of course even though they were still flooring other homes in my estate,unfortunately paid them up front on the promise that they would finish the job, basically they have stolen my money, they sent their worker to finish the job today, the same guy who was already abusive towards my wife on his 1st visit but came back later and apologised stating he was having a bad day so we let it go, unfortunately in this instance they sent the wrong nosings so he couldn't compete the job, once again the same worker came and once again he was abusive towards my wife who already has a heart condition and doesn't need this grief,I just wish I was there at the time, he has now sent me a message saying my wife threatened him!!! My wife is 5 foot 6 and weighs only 8 stone!!!yeah he was threatened!!!now I'm being threatened with the police after leaving an angry message as he wouldn't answer any of my numerous calls,this is what you would be dealing with if you have anything to do with this company,they are the company that Robertson Homes recommend for customers to use to floor their new houses but trust me I will do everything I can to ensure this will cease, i have already contacted Robertson Homes regarding this company so hopefully will get a satisfactory resolution to this matter,they can't treat customers like that and get away with it, numerous phone calls unanswered, messages not replied to, absolute disregard for the customer once they have your money and don't give a toss about their workmanship either,as I said DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!!!!
