Finally received refund after waiting over 18 months and being regularly ignored. Issued a small claims court order via HMS tribunals which cost £70 & should never had to be a necessary course of action, but it did not seem like there was any intention to pay me back. I advise all those owed to follow suit.

Alpharooms exucutives, and all the other people that work for them should all be flown to a desert, deserted island. ( Preferably one that has dirt instead of sand, and mud instead of sea. No Hotels, and no vegetation.)
And be left there to rot.
They might just understand what it feels like to be stranded, alone in a strange country with no where to stay.

Money not refunded from a holiday that was cancelled a year ago, no replies to emails.

Fully paid for my holiday on July 2021.
Went to the GF Gran Hotel in Tenerife on 11th October 2021 to be told that my booking had been cancelled by Alpharooms.
I paid for the hotel again and I am still waiting for Alpharooms to refund me, having been promised that it would take 2 days that was 15 days ago.
I checked online and they are being sued by CMA for their behavior. They do this quite a bit. When you ring you get passed about and lied to all the way to total frustration. Do not book with these Gangsters!!!!!!!

Disgrace of a company! Due to fly out tomorrow with 5 family members for 8 days all inclusive and received an email at 11am today to say 'due to a contractual issue with supplier' my booking has been cancelled! I called them and was told they couldn't help me as the servers were down, and someone would call back - I fully do not expect this to happen. But them I received another email from them CONFIRMING THAT MY BOOKING WAS BEEN CANCELLED BY ME and will be processed in line with cancellation T&Cs (so they are trying to say I cancelled it to avoid refunded me!!) Do no go near this company!

We paid in full for a hotel a month ago and received an email yesterday saying they cancelled the room - FOUR DAYS BEFORE WE GO! And that it will take them another month to process our refund.
Unacceptable.

Worst travel company ever, paid for a holiday in sept 19 for May 20 given a travel voucher. Then offered a cash refund if the voucher was not used. It is now Oct 21 and I still have not recieved any money back. NEVER NEVER book with these criminals as they will rip you off! If I could give a zero star I would!!!

We arrived at our hotel in Benidorm to be told there was no booking under my name. The hotel were very helpful and showed us the paperwork showing our booking had been cancelled on 14th October, 2 days before we arrived. I immediately rang alpharooms who I booked with in March, and after keeping me on hold for 15 minutes they said sorry. . . . Its their suppliers fault not theirs!!!!
I personally think alpharooms haven't paid their suppliers?
I asked them to rebook us into this hotel but they said its not possible so we had to pay again, but it's cost us nearly £300 more than it originally did!
I wish I could rate it no star, as it's not worth the 1 star I've left!
Surely something has to be done about this company ripping everyone off!

Absolutely disgusted with alpha rooms. I booked 2 rooms for 7 of our family, I booked weeks ago. I messaged them last week as I realised I hadn’t received one of the accommodation vouchers, and 3 days later, no response.
I am due to fly tomorrow at 7am!
I called the helpline and discussed that I needed the voucher as I am due to travel, the guy seemed sheepish and then the phone was cut off. I called straight back and got a lovely lady, she looked into it for me and came back to me apologetic and explaining that the hotel had cancelled the booking.
Some sort of contractual issue between the hotel and the supplier and I would be refunded in up to 28 days.

I’m gobsmacked that this could happen, if I wouldn’t of called we would of been turning up tomorrow at the hotel and left stranded.
I have no money to rebook, we are meant to be meeting people at the hotel etc. Shocked that such a big company could not offer an alternative accommodation, they literally just said sorry but you will get your money back within 28 days!

Booked with alpharooms 12 months ago. Paid and printed off my accommodation voucher.. arrived at our hotel only to be told our hotel had been cancelled. Rang alpha rooms and they just said that they had lost the contract with the hotel provider and could not reinstate this. Ended up having to pay for the hotel again. Alpha said they would refund me within 4 days... and I'm still waiting for my money.. horrible company.

I don’t know how this company has any stars at all. They offer ridiculously cheap prices, but many have had hotels cancelled 48 hours before they arrive, and thousands are chasing refunds for cancelled holidays through the courts. It is a scandal. Do not touch them.

I want everyone to be wary about using credit notes owed. I had numerous problems with them not answering my queries and requests to cancel my original booking. I knew they would try take payment so I changed my credit card! Finally received confirmation my booking was cancelled and I received a credit note august 2020. Despite it being a year later still not refund and all I kept getting told was it’s being processed. Then 1 oct 2021 “Vincent” was very helpful in helping me used my credit note for a hotel 24 October. I receive confirmation, turn up at my hotel late the hotel can’t find my booking! I had to pay again. I am told I am going to be refunded but I think if you can claim through your bank do so! Don’t trust them and anyone who says they are good just be wary if you haven’t travelled u may get asked to pay again!

SCC filed today! Seems to be the only way to get your money back from these gangsters! Do not waste your time booking with this disgrace of a company!!

CANCELLED, our hotel booking four days before arrival, citing some garbage about middlemen!!
28 days to process my refund ,if not satisfied off to Vine Street, Uxbridge (their offices),to sort it out personally

Contacted Alpharooms by livechat as I had seen a lot of posts about people's bookings getting cancelled.
Spoke to JASMINE that said don't worry, your booking is still ok and the room has already been fully paid for.
2 days later, I turned up at the hotel to be informed the booking had been cancelled 24 hours ago. Tried over and over to contact Alpharooms just to be fobbed off - so had to pay DOUBLE what we originally paid or end up on the street.

Have also founs out that the CMA is taking Alpharooms & Teletext Holiday to court - so I can't see them being in business for much longer..... but if this is how they treat their customers - GOOD RIDANCE !!!!

AVOID they take your money now people are arriving at their destination to find rooms have been cancelled, they are on the street or have to pay again at inflated prices. Absolute rubbish company go to booking.com, if I could give minus 5 I would do NOT book with these thieves

Check before you go..look at no refund alpharooms site on facebook before you book.

THIEVES. We paid in FULL over 3000 euros for 1 week holiday all inclusive and flights and they cancelled and never gave us our money back. They won't even anwser our solicitors letters and when we called the hotel they had not book our hotel there. We are still chasing this . DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY
