Fantastic Experience
Incredible support team for hiking Kilimanjaro. I felt very safe and in good hands with the team during the hike. The guides, porters, customer service staff, etc are excellent. The booking, planning, and execution experience was simple and well-organized. Any questions we about things like airport transfers and such were promptly answered in real time. Our group of 15 climbers summited successfully under the guidance of our experienced and well-trained Altezza crew. 100% recommend for Kilimanjaro, don't bother looking at another companies.

Well organized, high quality service
The quality of service provided by Altezza was exceptional. Every member of the team displayed a high level of professionalism, making the experience truly remarkable.
I would like to especially acknowledge one of the guides, Ayubu Mohamed. He is not only highly skilled but also one of the most inspiring individuals I have ever met. He also took a genuine interest in getting to know the people on the expedition. Engaging in conversation with him was both insightful and motivating.
The only downside was the situation with the tips at the end of the trip. It felt uncomfortable when the expedition leader checked how much each traveler contributed. It would have been better if this process had been more discreet and left to the travelers’ discretion.

Camp Support: The support team’s attention to detail was impressive. From cleaning our shoes to helping with our backpacks, they went out of their way to ensure our comfort. The effort in setting up the tents before our arrival at each camp was exceptional, allowing us to rest and recharge without any delay.
Facilities: Having hot water available was a luxury we deeply appreciated, especially in the cold weather. The toilet facilities were perfectly arranged, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout our time at the camps.
Food and Nutrition: The variety and quality of the food were remarkable, especially considering the specific dietary needs at high altitudes. A special thanks for the fresh meals, including porridge with different toppings like orange jam—a delightful start to our mornings. And French fries with ketchup and tomato sauce at 4,000 meters were a hit with the whole team. The option to order extra items before the final summit was a big plus, and we were well-informed about this in advance. Each meal was thoughtfully prepared, with the kitchen team catering to our needs with care.
Logistics and Organization: The logistics were flawless from beginning to end. The airport pickup, hotel transfers, and the return ride after the trek were smoothly coordinated, making the experience stress-free. The celebration meal after the summit was a fantastic way to mark our achievement, and everything was well-organized, with the necessary gear arriving on time.
Equipment Rental: The extensive range of rental gear was incredibly convenient, ensuring everyone had access to the equipment they needed, even if they didn’t bring their own. This flexibility made a huge difference in our preparation.
Safety and Care: The 24/7 feedback and focus on our safety were reassuring throughout the journey. The team’s commitment to monitoring our pace, health, and well-being, particularly at high altitudes, reflected their expertise and dedication.
Special Touches: Small but meaningful gestures, like providing a hot water bottle for sleeping, made a big difference in our comfort and rest. The support during the final summit push, with hot water and words of encouragement, was key in keeping our spirits high.
Inspiration and Morale: A special shoutout to Goodluck, Batch, and others who lifted our spirits with their songs as we approached the summit. Their energy and enthusiasm were contagious, providing much-needed motivation at a crucial moment.

Mount Kilimanjaro team - just incredible!
I could not believe how incredible Altezza were. I can't speak highly enough of them. Before the Mount Kilimanjaro 7 day Lemosho trip they were responsive and easy to deal with over email. At the welcome hotel they were great - very present and thorough.
And, most importantly, on the trip they were downright amazing. We felt so safe and so supported. They exceeded our expectations, especially with all the little touches like filling our water bottles or dusting off our boots. Every one of the 62 Altezza people helping 14 of us summit Mount Kilimanjaro, played their important part and felt cohesive as a team. And everything was done with a smile (and often a song and a dance). They were so helpful and so cheerful I was genuinely overwhelmed with gratitude by the time we were on our way down. Victor was our lead guide, ably supported by his guides Aggri, Hamsa, Lihiru, Mari and Kelvin. They were so professional, capable, and caring. But all the way through the chefs, the toilet guys, the porter etc the whole team appeared to be happy in their work and totally committed. They really made the trip extraordinary.

Completely amazing journey
The organization of the trip was impeccable. The staff are wonderful, talented, helpful, caring, engaging, and warm. The equipment was far beyond my expectations. I did not expect a dinner tent with table, chairs, tablecloth, server, and so on. The guides were amazing and got to know every person intimately with respect to their needs, interests, desires, and boundaries.

Great organizational effort
The organizational effort that went into our trip was staggering! I'm sure I was on the older end of canditates aspiring to summit and the "coaching" I recieved was thoughtful. Our guides anticipated that I'd be reluctant to have my daypack carried on the final push and to accept a steadying hand on the initial descent, yet I appreciated that they knew what was best because we'd discussed these possibilities beforehand.
The equipment list was very good but could use a few updates. I bought a spiffy 100 liter duffel as recommended, but our party was provided with the much larger Altezza ones. Mine would have never fit the sleeping bag and summit outerwear, and would rather not have bought it.
I noted the advice to avoid caffine, and was thus surprised when a cup of coffee greated me each morning!

Our larger Altezza duffels simply exceed the basic requirements for a Kilimanjaro expedition: they are designed to provide enough space for summit gear and sleeping bags of any size, and are fully waterproof. In general, a duffel bag for Kilimanjaro can be 100 L. We really hope your duffel has continued to be useful on your adventures since the climb!

It was incredible experience
It was incredible experience. All well organized, pick up always on time with friendly drivers. The chosen hotel and accommodations are all superb. Especially the camp in Serengeti. Spacious clean room with nice hot water provided by eco friendly solar panel energy, delicious food and with a beautiful scenery of Serengeti plains as your backyard. We saw a group of elephants from the camp.
Special thanks to our safari guide Fidelis who is very knowledgeable, professional, always in happy spirit with lots of love for the animals and the places we visited.
