Disgusting service from AluFold Direct Ltd. Bought bi-fold doors a number of years ago, door stay broke so got in touch for replacement. They didn't get back to me until I chased them a week later, I was told they were short of staff, now its taken nearly two weeks to have the stay posted to me. It was posted last Thursday first class Royal Mail, and still not received (now Tuesday). When I chased it up, Michelle in Customer Service advised she had sent it and another one was not going to be sent out. When I called the main phone number to speak to the MD, the receptionist advised he was out of the office as was the Sales Director. When I asked if I could speak to the most senior person in the building, she said I had to report to her the issue and she would escalate my reporting. When I told her my issue, she advised that it was her who posted my stay and that it was posted last Thursday. When I stated my paid for product had not arrived she said another one was not going to be sent out, when I pointed out to her it was Alufold Direct Ltd responsibility to ensure I received my ordered and paid for goods she said it was not. A totally irresponsible and disgusting customer service experience.... yet to be resolved.

I have been dealing with Alufold Direct for 3 years now and am surprised to see that 43% (17/4/24) of reviews are 1 star.

For my part they have been helpful and easy to deal with. I am a cautious purchaser and I read Trustpilot reviews (which is one reason that I am writing this one) before making a decision.

Aluminium units were a big decision for me so before first ordering I even drove from S Wales to Blackburn to meet them and see their factory and showroom. Very happy everything.

Enough of my waffling preamble.

I ordered a tilt & turn window 2 years ago and only organised to fit it last week. Alas, I could not find the sealing gasket which I had misplaced.

I called and spoke with Michelle, she looked up the order and immediately sent me more gasket next day via DPD all complimentary.

Additionally, a year ago I smashed a large glazed unit for some French Doors whilst installing them.

Alufold immediately sent me a replacement at a cost that I couldn’t believe with free carriage, if I was happy to wait for them to be in the area. I was and it came about a week later.

So, despite the current 43% 1 star review rating level, I have always been very happy with Alufold. I would recommend them and I will be ordering from them again.

Please note that I have not read any of the 1 star reviews as they would not affect my view or experience with Alufold Direct.

Ordered 4 windows , small part of my order thank god , two of the windows are for bathrooms , only to come with clear glass , emailed and Alufold Direct responded with yes there fault but I will need to pay the Window fitter to come back to replace which I don't feel that's down to me , they will now lose out on around 20k plus for my next order , this is the problem with having to pay 100% up front as they know that they have the upper hand

DO NOT USE!! Over 3 years and we are still waiting for windows and glass to be fitted correctly or replaced. Incompetent at every level!!
We are living in a new build and cant progress the works due to the lack of communication and supply of materials. Unreliable and untrustworthy
