Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 203 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers were dissatisfied with the products, finding them to be of poor quality, cheap, and not matching the descriptions or images on the website. People frequently noted that items were flimsy, made of plastic, or arrived tarnished and broken, contrary to the advertised quality. Reviewers also felt misled by the website's portrayal of the company as a family concern, suggesting products were mass-produced in China rather than handmade. Customers found the prices to be inflated for the low quality received, and many struggled to obtain full refunds, often being offered only partial amounts or facing difficult return processes to China. However, some people were satisfied with their purchases, stating that the earrings were beautiful, looked exactly like the photos, and were well-made for the price.

WARNING WARNING WARNING

WARNING WARNING WARNING. Absolutely awful company, look great in pictures but when you get them worst quality ever. Broken when received. So hard to get a refund unless you want to ship back to china. Offer of 20% refund and keep them. Absolute fraud company. Reviews must be fake too.

This is a scam

Don’t be fooled by the happy family image on the website, this is a scam. The earrings I bought were described as vintage silver. The product was cheap tat, certainly not silver and only bore a passing resemblance to the publicity shot. I am currently in dispute with the seller regarding a refund as they are insisting I bear the cost of return postage as per their returns policy. This is likely to cost more than I paid for the goods as it has to go to China. I have given them a week to provide me with a prepaid returns label before I refer them to theTrading Standards Authority.

Tarnished unwearable Earrings and appalling customer service

Amelia&Arthur asked me to review their product.
Well here goes, I ordered earrings from Amelia&Arthur, the earring looked lovely, I had a problem opening the hinge to unclasp both earrings they were closed tightly, but managed to adjust this, I wore them for four days hoping the irritation would ease, my ears went itchy and wheaping, took the earrings out and they’d tarnished really bad. I contacted Amelia&Arthur, they apologised and said they could only offer 20% of my money back, they told me to keep the tarnished earrings (which are only fit for the bin) said I could have 30% off another order (why would I make another bad purchase).
I’ve had many emails back and forth with Amelia &Arthur, I’ve not got anywhere with them, they refuse to refund me in full and now want me to send the tarnished tatty earrings back to a Chinese address recorded delivery at my full expense. Probably at a bigger cost than I paid initially for the earrings in the first place. My issue is still ongoing, all I want is a refund of my hard earned money. I would certainly NOT RECOMMEND USING THIS COMPANY

DO NOT ORDER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

Yes this company is a total sham if it does truly exist. Its really cheap, poor quality, Its impossible to return when I did return it after being obstructed with every question I sent it to the address on the parcel I received. Amelia and Arthur say that the address is a third party who they ship through and they cannot contact them for me and when I offered to contact myself they would not allow me to. They have offered no refund.

This is a complete scam and the company…

This is a complete scam and the company should be reported to trading standards. It is not a small mother and son company making artisan earrings and jewellery. The products are cheap reproductions of the photos used for advertising. The nicest thing was the box they came in. I was sent something I didn't order and they refused to refund my money. Return postage to CHINA was going to be inhibitive and I eventually agreed to a partial refund which I still haven't received. DO NOT BUY!

Cheap looking jewellery…

Ordered 2 pairs of earrings and a bangle and ring, they are all very poor quality and cheap looking. The website leads you to believe the jewellery is handmade and nice looking, this is not the case at all. I am so disappointed

Wish I could give no stars

Wish I could give no stars. Also wish I had been sensible and read reviews before ordering. I was taken in by the marketing. But this product is very very cheap looking. I would like to return but have no confidence that I would get money back . I spent £47 on “Sale” jewellery that was probably worth £5 altogether. I’ve seen seen better in Xmas crackers. Beware!

Love my earrings.

I really don't get the bad reviews. I didn't receive a confirmation email about my order so messaged the address on the website. Amelia immediately got back to me and sent me the tracking details.
My order arrived within a week, beautifully packaged and I love my earring (3 pairs).
Thanks to all involved x

Product very poor quality

Product very poor quality. Asked for refund, and after much prevarication on their part, a return was accepted with all charges to me for return to China, or a 25% refund and 20% discount voucher off any future purchase was offered. This doesn't seem to agree with returns policy on their website. Wouldn't recommend buying from this company.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company , complete scam , cheap jewellery nothing like the pictures , no 30day refund unless you want to pay to ship back to China . I feel a complete fool , but have learnt a lesson the hard way and will now ALWAYS check reviews before ordering anything . How they are allowed to continue trading is beyond me .

Terrible 😞 avoid like the plague

Terrible 😞 avoid like the plague! Feel silly to have trusted them and parted with £25 hard earned money. Would have preferred to donate to charity. The earring were supposed to be vintage. Vintage they are not. Cheap and tacky they are. Definitely not even worth £5. I have read other reviews and cannot face the stress of trying to return goods and get my money back. I am pretty sure you could sue them under the Trades Description Act.

AVOID Absolute tat, returns are to China

I ordered 3 pairs of earrings, the quality is terrible, I wouldn’t have paid 50p for them. Returns policy is a joke, I could send them back to China but would cost me over £16 so not worth it. Also they told me to put a low value on the parcel so it didn’t get customs charges but that would make it uninsured by Royal Mail! I reluctantly accepted a refund of 25% but very unhappy. The website is very misleading, this is not a reputable company at all.

Warning SCAM

Warning: Scam jewellery site 🚨
I ordered “handmade gemstone” jewellery, but received cheap broken plastic you can buy on Temu for £1.50. They refuse proper refunds and expect customers to pay return shipping to China. I’ve reported them to Trading Standards and my bank. Avoid – total scam.
