Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 203 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers were dissatisfied with the products, finding them to be of poor quality, cheap, and not matching the descriptions or images on the website. People frequently noted that items were flimsy, made of plastic, or arrived tarnished and broken, contrary to the advertised quality. Reviewers also felt misled by the website's portrayal of the company as a family concern, suggesting products were mass-produced in China rather than handmade. Customers found the prices to be inflated for the low quality received, and many struggled to obtain full refunds, often being offered only partial amounts or facing difficult return processes to China. However, some people were satisfied with their purchases, stating that the earrings were beautiful, looked exactly like the photos, and were well-made for the price.

Awful - avoid

Slow to arrive. Product awful - plastic 'stones', cheap metal, shapes not even centred; colours do not match those shown in the photograph.

Feel stupid for having fallen for what is clearly a scam. Awful fake card from the alleged "Amelia" in the box - the pretence that this is a family business is ridiculous (and again, I feel stupid for having fallen for it).

Waste of time and money

I can only repeat what other reviewers are saying. Amelia and Arthur are no doubt AI images to draw you in...small family business based in London??? Definately not, but a very slick website. My tracking order number for Royal Mail actually worked. I ordered a pair of earrings under £20 which arrived today. Much much smaller than the online photo and in a plastic bag. Strangely this was all placed in quite a nice jewellery box which probably had more value than the earrings themselves. Avoid, it's just cheap Chinese tat.

Avoid like the plague!

I wish I had checked Trustpilot ( I usually do!). Terribly poor quality . The ear rings I ordered were impossible to fit on the ears! The original price in the ‘sale’ was £50! What a joke!! I emailed them but don’t hold out any hope for a refund! Don’t touch with a barge pole!

Terrible quality

Terrible quality. Return address is china, so I imagine they were made there too. They offered 20% refund which I took, because posting to China would have cost the same. I will pass them on to a local raffle!

It's a scam

It's a scam. Total rip off, cheap badly made rubbish. Won't give any money back, ridiculous return address and only offered 25% back. Do not waste your money. Past it on to stop others getting scammed.

Dreadful customer service and equally…

Dreadful customer service and equally dreadful product. They are refusing to give me a full refund unless I pay the return postage. The item was broken and faulty when received. I have had to contact them multiple times and am given unsatisfactory options about discounts on my next purchase. I will never be buying something from this company again! This is against the Consumer Rights act. DREADFUL!

I am very pleased with my purchases, and have already had compliments

Don't be taken in by the slick website…

Don't be taken in by the slick website etc - it's not all being curated in a kitchen in the Cotswolds more like a sweat shop in China. The earrings I ordered took so long to arrive I tried to get a refund several times. Many emails and several weeks later they refused to refund and insisted I keep the goods and get 25% off or send them back to China. Postage would cost as much as the earrings - which are tarnished already and cheap rubbish - nothing like the photo.

I would put in a minus if possible

I would put in a minus if possible. I ordered 2 sets of earrings, arrived in a reasonable timeframe but boy did they look different to the pictures on the website. One broke after 3 wears, contacted customer services, no response. Wish I’d checked the reviews, lesson learnt!

Not recommended

Believed this was UK jeweller. Wanted to return the earings as too heavy to wear and return offered.
Turns out return is to odd address in China and costs more than item. They offered me 30% refund.
Wish I had read reviews on here before I bought and would not recommend.

Amelie and Arthur scam company

This company is nothing but a scam, the earrings are not wearable as you can’t get the posts through your ear. They will not refund, they state they are a British company, but their products come from China. Avoid this company at all costs. I’m not sure how they are still trading, at the very least they need to be looked into.

Absolute rubbish

Absolute rubbish, big sob story about family company closing hence the half price sale. Ring tarnished within 3 weeks of wearing, made my finger black and itchy. Cheap cheap tat . DONT BUY… wish I’d read reviews first! They offered 30 % off next order but I wouldn’t wear anything for free like this … AVOID!!!
