People was extremely nice at the phone but they came 16 hours late to pick up the cord, placenta, etc. (not within six hours after delivery as promised) and we did not had news of them for a month.

Personable customer service and competitive pricing

I just recently had my child and I chose Americord for their customer service and what they offer. Plus, their pricing was better than the other companies. The kit came well packaged and well labeled to figure out. No problems upon delivery and pickup either.

Great Company

We have the good service on time and they pick up almost 36 hours later, they said no problem was BOUT IT, I WISH THY HAVE BETTER CONTACT WITH HOSPITALS AND DOTOR WHO RECOLECCT THE BLOOD, PLACENTA AND HUMBILICAL CORD, BECAUSE MY DOCTOR had no idea what was about and affect the placenta....

Great so far...

We've used Americord twice. Simple to use, great value, with the expectation that stored blood will be delivered if requested. We are grateful this was paid up front, so no stress with additional fees when our finances changed.

Good services

When I had my first child, I used a different company to store the cord blood. I didn't do any research, I used it because my OB gave me some info on that company- that mistake costed me an additional 4,800 dollars, which I'm still paying.
This time I wasn't gonna store cord blood because of the cost, but I decided to do some research. I found Americord when I was 37 1/7 weeks pregnant. I called then around 2pm- they processed my application super fast. I received the cord blood storage box with instructions by 8am the next day.
I completed and signed the application questioner online the same day.
Collection of cord blood was simple. We called the carrier a couple of hrs after the delivery, he came early next morning due to severe weather at our location! I did NOT pay anything until they confirmed that the quality and quantity will be sufficient!!! I'm making low monthly payments for a period of 2 yrs and that will keep it store for 2 yrs. I definitely recommend this Americord!!!

Simple and satisfied

I decided to store the cord blood of both of my children. I hope to never use it, but it's always nice to have an option for treatment in a worse case scenario. I used ViaCord with my 1st child and now Americord for my second. The Americord representative I spoke with was very informative without being pushy. We decided to store cord blood, cord tissue, and placenta tissue. Americord had many more options for storage than any of the other top cord blood storage companies. It was more cost effective than paying for the collection and annual storage fees. The directions and collection kit are very user friendly. I also like that the pack is sterile and that it was allowed in the OR for my C section. The courier arrived shortly after calling. Over all it was a great experience.

A+ for Customer service

My experience with Americord was PERFECT! I do not have any complaints. From the very beginning until the day they picked up everything up from the hospital. We are very happy!

never got any response

The package they sent to us is easy to understand. However, after they took the kit back, I asked for the blood type result, and never got any response. It would be nice if they enhance their customer service .

I understand that many people obtain this at the time of birth from the hospital folder. We typically do provide the blood type upon request, and I am very sorry if we didn’t get back to you with this. Great experience

The customer service is excellent, and the staff was always available to answer my many questions. The kit instructions were clear and easy for my midwife to follow. The courrier arrived promptly and made it so easy to send the kit back to Americord. We are very happy with this company and will be using them again for our next child.

Once due to price, twice due to customer service

We decided to store cord blood back in 2014 with our first child.
After doing quite a lot of research we ended up with Americord due to their pricing. As the regulations are pretty much the same for all cord blood banks in the US, we felt it would not make a huge difference if we decided to go with a company that was in our state or on the other side of the country.
Back in 2014 we were very pleased with the customer service we received and the handling of everything (shipping of kit, content of box, pickup in the hospital, aftercare and flow of information). So when we had to decide if and where to bank with baby #2 it was easy to contact Americord again.

I greatly enjoyed the phone calls with their customer service reps and am very pleased that they offered me a discount as returning customer.

I hope to never be in need to actually use the cord blood they stored for my kids but if that will be the case, I am confident that everything will run smoothly.

I would highly recommend Americord to anyone looking for an affordable cord blood bank with great customer service!

Wonderful Experience

The only thing I wish would have happened is; I would have liked to receive a phone call or email confirming the receipt of our kit! They say once they receive it they will then charge the card about 5 days after but I still would have liked to receive a confirmation for peace of mind! Otherwise, a wonderful experience I will definitely use them again for our next child!

No Problems

The discussion with the representative, the collection and pick up was soothe. No concerns. It did take a little longer than I expected to get the certificate of the results but happy with the process.

Excellent service and streamlined support

The birth of one's first child is both exciting and terrifying so the added stress of choosing a cord blood bank would only exacerbate things. Luckily, Gerry from Americord walked me through the whole process and made it as easy as possible. If you look at reviews, you'll see that the CEO of the company responds to comments and takes customer feedback into consideration. They really know how to treat their clients.
