I am so glad to have found Ami! For my wedding I knew exactly what I wanted which was a dress with my favourite colours and loads of florals!! And that's exactly what she created, I had the most beautiful pink floral lehenga and got hints of lilac, something which I just wasn't able to find in any store. She even created my partner's outfit and co ordinated it really well with my bridal outfit. I also had a civil and I really wanted a unconventional white dress and something that tied in with my Indian bridal dress and again Ami did not disappoint at all!! She made a gorgeous "white" dress with pink and lilac florals throughout and honestly it's just something I wanted which I wasn't able to find and she helped create my vision to life! All in all she makes beautiful dresses western and Indian and is someone who I was able to trust to make something beautiful 🩷

Ami custom made my wedding outfit so beautifully! She understood exactly what I was looking for (an outfit that was bridal but where I didn't look like a Christmas tree) and her attention to detail was really impressive. The outfit was completed way ahead of schedule and with no alterations required as the fitting was perfect. I would definitely recommend Ami to anyone looking for a lengha or gown for a special occasion.

MY WORD I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO IN LOVE WITH ONE OUTFIT!! For someone who wasn’t a “Red bridal lehnga” person, I can not imagine getting in married in anything else other than the red lehnga made by Ami. She helped me merge the traditional red colour with my love for minimalism found in western bridal-wear to create a unique outfit that married both my Indian roots and my western upbringing. I came to Ami after becoming quite frustrated with the lack of professionalism that came with bespoke asian bridal-wear designers. Ami Matona was a breath of fresh air and she quite evidently is an exception to other designers and is hands down the nicest bespoke designer I have ever met. She was willing to work with me to understand exactly what I wanted. The final product was breath-taking, to say the least, and the quality of the fabric and embroidery was impeccable. Ami can talk you though different embroidery styles, fabrics, flare and designs to help you create the bridal outfit of your dreams.

After spending weeks trying to choose the perfect person to create my bespoke outfit, I knew instantly that Ami had to be the one to design my wedding Lehenga.

The whole process was SOO difficult as we were battling with COVID, but Ami was literally so amazing throughout it all, always reassuring me when I needed it. I was undecided on what colour I wanted to go for and Ami was SO kind, giving me sample swatches, even making changes up until the last minute until I was happy and I’m so grateful for that.

I am SOO glad I chose Ami to create my bespoke outfit, it seriously was out of this world - I just want to wear it over and over again😭..

Definitely recommend, she will design you a piece that is so unique, that you can't just buy from any shop - so if you want a dress which is special and unique - this is definitely the place to go.

Incredible design, quality and service. Ami created wedding looks for me and my husband which were simply breathtaking. She brought our ideas to life and we had such a great time working with her. All of our friends and family were so impressed, the embroidery in particular is exquisite.

I got in touch with Ami to make my Hundi wedding ceremony dresses. Despite creating them in the middle of the pandemic across different countries Ami managed to stay on top of the design as well as the production. She was fantastic to work with, a great listener and always pushing the ideas to make the design unique and personal. Also super flexible in term of the design and trying out new ideas. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for outstanding custom outfits.

Ami is such an incredibly talented designer and a wonderful human being. She created two bespoke wedding outfits for me - a very unique Indian lengha and a white wedding/evening dress - and both of them turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined. She listened to everything I wanted, made loads of helpful suggestions and brought my dream designs to life! Ami made the whole process really fun and exciting and you can really see her passion behind everything she creates! Would 100% recommend Ami to any newly engaged bride-to-bes.

Where to begin?! I had visited so many shops and boutiques in search of my wedding outfit and just couldn’t find something that screamed WOW. I had heard about Ami and her work through family and thought I’d get in touch to see if she could work her magic. Needless to say Ami was simply amazing from start to finish. For someone who was nervous about having an outfit made from scratch, with no idea what it would look like til the end, Ami made the whole process completely seamless! From designing the outfit to the fitting Ami was available for all my silly questions and worries. Ami’s ability to bring visions to life is amazing - she did just that for my wedding outfit. I was completely amazed by the end product and still stare at my outfit to this day because it is just simply beautiful! Ami is kind, talented, patient and completely trustworthy. She will help you decide what works and what doesn’t and I can guarantee you will never be disappointed trusting Ami designing your wedding outfit. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who is thinking of having a bespoke outfit made! I’m sad the process is over! Where do I even start?! Ami was highly recommended to me by one of my closest friends and I'm so happy we worked together on both my wedding and reception outfits.

I knew I wanted a jumpsuit for my reception, but wasn't exactly sure about the design for my lengha. At our initial consultation, we discussed a few ideas and Ami sketched out some options that would fit within my budget.

She had a clear vision based on our conversations, even when I myself was unsure! I was a little anxious about not knowing what the final outfits would look like, but Ami took the time to send me updates from the tailors to see the emerging designs, colours and threadwork. She was super patient throughout and reassured me with pictures of the different threads before production began. I felt listened to and knew she really cared about getting the outfits 'right'.

When the outfits finally arrived, they were nothing short of a dream. As soon as I put on my lengha, I felt like a princess / bride. Everything became real in that moment! The jumpsuit was more beautiful than I could have imagined and it fit like a glove. I'm already thinking of ways I can repurpose both as they deserve to be worn more than once!

I would recommend Ami to any bride looking for a bespoke piece. There is such satisfaction in knowing you have created something unique / true to your style and Ami is the kindest, most thoughtful designer - always putting her clients' vision at the heart of what she does. I just wish I had some big events upcoming for an excuse to work with Ami again!

I LOVED my two wedding outfits. As soon as I walked into the showroom I knew Ami was the designer for me. She's so friendly and creative. My outfits were perfect and I felt like an absolute princess! Couldn't recommend Ami any more to brides!

From the moment I had my first telephone call with Ami, I knew I had made the right decision to contact her. Everyone talks about the moment when you find "THE dress" but I wasn't having much luck. I felt overwhelmed but Ami was nothing short of a dream to work with and I had complete confidence in her from our first conversation alone. She carefully talked me through her process and time frame and listened to what I wanted before sending through a sketch of two very beautiful wedding dress options. She understood what I wanted from the beginning and her creativity was clear from the design she envisioned for me even before I could!

I called Ami quite late in the wedding planning process but she still very kindly agreed to take me on, as well as making my husband's safa material and shawl.

I somehow managed to pick the most tricky colour that existed in her studio (not on any colour charts!) but no challenge was too big for Ami. She embraced all my ideas, added her magic touch along the way, and encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone (and I'm so grateful she did!).

I looked forward to my visits to Ami's studio - it felt like I was catching up with a friend everytime - and the transition from the initial ideas we first spoke about to the final dress was phenomenal and all down to Ami's dedication and passion to the wearable art that she creates.

I'd like to say thank you to all the people behind the scenes that made my dress in record time, along with the pieces for my husband. You worked tirelessly for us to have our dream outfits and our day wouldn't have been as special as it was without your contribution.

After visiting many bridal shops, I couldn’t find that perfect dress for me and was constantly advised I would have to make compromises on the outfit design. That’s when I found Ami and although I was quite sceptical of the process, I decided to pay a visit to her after seeing some great reviews online.

From the moment I sat down with her for our first meeting she put me at ease. Her drawing skills are second to none. Ami put the design to paper and altered it to my specifications with such professionalism. Her production team were so quick at bringing the design to life. I also got her to do my grooms outfit to match to mine, and they matched so perfectly!

We weren’t sure what to expect when the final outfits came in, however when we saw them they were even better than we had ever imagined. We received so many compliments from our guests.

If anyones like me, who knows what you want but is not quite getting it from any place else, Ami is the person for you. She’ll listen to your ideas and design the outfit of your dreams.

Ami is a dream to work with. She made my vision into a reality and I will forever be grateful. She always goes above and beyond is is approachable, but a consummate professional. I loved working with her. 110% recommend!

I bought my wedding outfit from Ami Bridal Couture and i was nothing short of amazed at what i got as well as the excellent service provided. The selection was nothing short of amazing, contemporary and up to date on the latest trends. I ended up creating a bespoke based on designs in the studio and was extremely happy with my end result. I put my full trust into Ami and she definitely delivered the most amazing outfit.

The whole process was seamless, from deciding what I liked to choosing colours etc for bespoke outfit and I was never rushed to make a decision.

Ami kept me up to speed with updates on my outfit throughout the months, plus my outfit arrived on time and fitted me perfectly! No alterations needed. Knowing that Ami was literally just a text away was huge help, and nothing was too much hassle. Ami was friendly and professional and gave me confidence in my order.

Right from the start she got the vibe i was going for down to a tee, From the initial drawings and fabric/ embroidery swatches, it was all great! She even came to deliver my outfit home. Ami is absolutely amazing! Not only did she create 5 matching outfits for both our Church and Indian wedding whilst bringing our vision and love story to life but also created the most beautiful (again matching) pieces for our Paper Wedding Anniversary celebrations.

She recreated my Church Wedding dress in to a stunning Lengha, so I could rewear an outfit that was so special to me.

Even with the added pressures of Covid, Ami and the team managed to get everything to us, right on time.

Ami has gone from being a fellow wedding supplier to a friend and we can’t wait for her to create the next piece. (My husband has an ongoing list of suits so we will be sure to see her soon 😂)

Right from the get go, Ami completely understood my vision for my reception look and delivered above and beyond any expectation I had. The outcome from our virtual consultations, swatches and fittings was incredible and I couldn't have imagined anything better.

Covid postponements meant that my outfit finally got its moment two years later than planned and we decided to change things a little to suit the season (originally October but moved to a June date). The result was phenomenal and the compliments I keep receiving have been well worth the wait (especially my sleeves!). I can't wait to dance the night away in it again and I already have ideas of how I will rewear each piece to make new outfits. It was such a bittersweet moment having my final fitting with Ami as I've loved my whole journey with her. I could not recommend Ami enough, she is a true gem within this industry and deserves far more recognition for her fabulous work.

Having first meeting Ami 10 years ago (during my sister's wedding), I knew that I wanted Ami to make my wedding reception dress. The dress came out exactly as I envisaged. Ami is very patient (especially when I could not decide on the colour) and I welcomed her advice / expertise. She was also great when we had to postpone our wedding due to Covid.

I am so happy with the dress I received from Ami. She took the time to listen to everything I wanted and when I realised I wanted to make a change to the final dress, she went above and beyond to make the additional changes to ensure it was perfect for me. She’s such a lovely woman and I’d definitely recommend her to any bride! Thank you Ami🥰
