2nd time lucky…

My APCOA Connect app froze me out and after several attempts by me to unsuccessfully reset my password I got frozen out. So last Wednesday I rang APCOA and after a 30 minute wait got through to an operator. I shall withhold her name but she tried for ages trying to find my account but although she found where the last time I used the app, she couldn’t find the problem! She said to leave it a couple of days as I may get more reset chances. This didn’t happen so I rang back today 11/5/26 and after a slightly shorter wait got through to a different operator called Eve. She was VERY helpful and stayed with me until I’d reset things after she sent me an e mail. I set up facial recognition to hopefully stop this happening again. Thank you again Eve

Expectation: Convenience Reality: Shambolic

Visiting the Lea Valley White Water Rafting centre, I decided to use the Apcoa Connect Parking service as I thought it would be a quick and convenient way to pay for parking. How wrong I was.

Firstly, on scan of the QR code, you have to download an app, create an account filling in personal details, then you are sent a verification code which you have to enter. Already by now I could have used the machine.

Then, on payment, the service did not give Apple Pay as an option, prompting me to scan a physical card, which I did, and then had to verify the use through a banking app which failed the first time, and THEN, the option to use Apple Pay shows up.

Truly the worst of modern technology, simplify your system or I warn others not to bother using this ridiculous system.

On scan of the QR code all that is needed is durations of parking, the payment option, with Apple Pay listed, and finally an option to get a receipt to an email address. that is IT. Please take note.

Frustrated by APCOA

I changed my car but was frustrated both by the app and the website where it is not at all clear how to do this. I consider myself an intelligent person but your app and website are ridiculously unclear when it comes to changing the vehicle.
As I was unable to change the vehicle, I could not use the app to pay, and previously there was a notice with a QR code on - this had disappeared, so asked to pay at ticket office. They cannot issue car park tickets for their own car park! Clerk pointed me to a QR code on a small notice stuck on their window, which I tried to use.. I now seem to have been scammed - my card shows ‘Lser connect ecom’ and I received a parking fine as well for that day. SOUTH EASTERN Trains: please get rid of useless APC|OA and replace it with a company that knows what its doing - such as RINGO.

Worst parking company there is

Registering for auto pay has been broken now for over a week (when you submit the details)

They do not inform you when payment methods are not useable for certain contracts. For example, Great western rail do not accept Amex in Twyford, but they let you set up an Amex card and fine you when it declines

Garbage app

An absolutely garbage app! I've had nothing but trouble with it from day one! After today's fail and missing my train I'm now going to delete Apoca and boycott Tonbridge station carpark as the time it takes me to have numerous fails on the app and scanning "in a hurry scanpay today" qr code which is also a failure it would be easier to park at one of the town carparks and walk to the station. At least with the Ringo app it goes through first time!!!
Edit 1:Blah, blah, blah " I will pass your comments onto the relevant department" well you said the same thing on another review on here 18 months ago and what changed.... Nothing! I've deleted the app until Southeast rail appoint a more competent company incharge of parking.
Edit 2: What's there to look into it didn't work and not for the first time. Take notice of the amount of negative reviews and actually do something! Spend some money and revamp your abysmal app so that it works,as it's fairly important if you have to spend 10-15 minutes trying to get it to work when you have a train to catch.
Edit 3: You can ask me for my details all you like but unless you have a time machine that can take me back so I don't miss my train while trying to get your app to work for the umpteenth time that's not going to happen. If you read my previous answers you need to invest money and revamp your abysmal app. The one star still stands.

This company is a shambles

This company is a shambles. Warwick has chosen APCOA PARKING for their Sports Hub. Neither machine worked to pay, walked into the sport hub and the lady tried to help (she was great). The app downloaded but did not send a text to complete registration. Tried the website, completed the payment details 3 times and the page has timed out without paying. Took the details of APCOA PARKING to complete at home. Again the website doesnt work and you cant 'late pay' on the app. The telephone number takes 10 mins to work and wants you to input your card details within 3milliseconds or it times out. Tried the chat function and the AI bot tried to pass me to an agent and it timed out. 45 minutes and I still cant pay. Howevr they will be super quick to send a 60 fine for the inability to pay 3.50.The parking is also super expensive at 3.50 for 30 mins.

Scam scam scam

Scam scam scam, taking many for parking when parking not even open.
Paid for Energia park car park space, when went in there it looks there no car park at all

I have been sent a debt recovery letter…

I have been sent a debt recovery letter for a car parking fine which I have paid on the day by machine at time of parking, APCOA never sent a letter to say I had not paid, they give you 28 days to appeal they just passed to debt recovery, because it is passed the 28 day you can not do anything by phone or on line, there is no telephone number to sort this out, the debt recovery company will not do anything, I will have to wait until they take me to court where I will produce my payment evidence and claim my expenses, Nigel Jessop

I was not impressed with ApcoaConnect

I was not impressed with ApcoaConnect. Both the app and website are difficult to use and full of bugs. It took me far too long to complete a simple parking payment due to constant glitches and poor navigation. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience — a terrible user experience that needs major improvement.

I had a bad and upsetting experience…

I had a bad and upsetting experience trying to use this app last Saturday 11th October at Staplehurst train station car park. We hadn’t used the car park for several months so did a reconnaissance on Friday 10th. Downloaded the app at home, put in vehicle registration number and ready for Saturday morning and our trip for a reunion with school friends who hadn’t seen each other for over 50 years, a unique occasion. Arrived at car park with half an hour to spare to use the app for the first time. Managed to complete it until got to the stage of confirming my identity. Decided to ask for a phone call. No phone call received, just a code. No boxes to complete with code. Tried to start again only for the app to abort my attempt on the basis of too many attempts already. By that time ominously close to our train arriving, so forced to leave and park elsewhere, actually too far for 81 and 74 year olds with some mobility issues. Why isn’t this app like Ringo, so user friendly, which enables booking ahead and also like the Dartford Crossing, which you can pay for 24 hours after using it? Our very special day started so badly all because of this terrible app! And are they going to send us a PCN because we were there so long struggling to do the right thing and pay? Never again!

app stopped accepting my charge card

Apcoa connect app stopped accepting my Lloyds business charge card via the app, the only way to pay is by ’not registering’ and paying on the website where it accepts the payment on the card fine. This needs to be fixed. The website like the app is tracking and following me across the web in all kinds of weird ways. ( stealing my data) It will accept apple pay on the app but the card cant use apple pay.

Appalling app and website. Avoid.

Dreadful app, website and help. Having parked at West Malling station Decided to use the journey to London to pay for my parking as there is no way to pay in advance. The app downloaded fine but the registration kept crashing on the "accept terms and conditions" screen saying I was not connected to the network despite 5G connection! (other comments here state the same) Pressing the try again button many times got the same response. Trying to register again from the start I then got a message that my email address could not be verified as the PIN send attempts had been exceeded. Giving up on the app I then tried the website which also failed as the it uses the same PIN counter for email verification. So I tried the phone line which is not a person but an automated service which asked for my payment details including the long card number on the bank card. I can't remember 16 digits so had to switch screens to my bank app to get them 4 at a time. Needless to say the automated system timed out and stated that I had incorrectly added my card number. I hadn’t, it just didn't give me enough time to type it in. Finally I tried the help line which after selecting an advisor cut me off. When I got to London, I tried the web site again, found a button to PAY WITHOUT REGISTERING and that worked. 75 minutes of purgatory during which my car was not paid for. I should also add that I worked in IT for 30 years so its is not me, it is their crap software.

Great Customers Service

I had to contact APCOA due to the payment machine at Exeter RD&E not working properly. While trying to download the App and pay online my charges doubled. When I explained the situation the customer service member Leon looked into this and after investigating it cancelled my whole payment.
Parking companies and staff involved often come under many complaints and criticism so I am please to give a very positive review for APCOA CONNECT.

APCOA Connect app and website problems

11/09/24 - Visiting my son in Selby, decided to go to Leeds taking my wife and son and tried to register on the app in advance as my mobile signal is atrocious in this area. At my sons house filled in all the details all the details on the registration form, clicked on register and then got a network error message asking me to ensure I was connected to the internet. Browsing other sites just fine. This kept happening all evening. Then just before I went to bed I tried again, about 1 hour after last attempt, then I got the error message that I had requested too many codes in te last 30 minutes and to try again later.
12/09/24 - this morning tried to register but got the you have asked for too many codes in the last 30 minutes. Called customer services who gave me 2 websites to try, I clicked on the Register button and filled in the registration form again and then got the error message that I need to fill in the details that I used to register. This happened on 3 attempts.
Have just tried logging in using the details I have given, in the hope that registration had completed and the error message was a mistake, but as expected the registration had not completed as I even tried to change the password but it said "Sorry, we were unable to find that mobile phone number and email address combination. Please try again... "
Have given up and will now use a taxi to get to the station.
They really need to sort out the registration problems with their app and website

A Waste Of Time, Very Unhelpful

Don't bother contacting them if it's about refunds on car parking charges, they are not very helpful in that department, quick to take your money but not give it back!
