Not delivered but recorded otherwise bloody thieves
Delivery not received, recorded as delivered but the Cribbs thieves, then told only the payment team will refund you once they have checked ?? You have 3-5 days to refund me and then you can talk to my lawyers as this is theft plain and simple
Missing items
Missing items. Delivery driver rude, customer service couldn't understand what she was saying? Each person said sorry for another person. I've had money taken out my account and not received the items. Spoke to a so called manager, told would call back, not happened 😡
Half the order was substitutions or missing
Half the order was substitutions or missing. Total waste of time. Why offer items you don't have?!

Groceries arrived on time , all in good condition , drivers are all pleasant , and help me in with my shopping , great service
Frustrating Experience with Age Verification
I visited Asda in Tilbury to pick up a couple of bottles of wine on offer. Due to work commitments, I couldn’t go earlier in the day and arrived later than planned. When I went to pay, a staff member approached, didn’t even look me in the face, and immediately said, “No, you’re not old enough,” before pulling the alcohol out of my bag. She barely acknowledged me, let alone took a proper look, which was frustrating because had she actually looked, she would have realized I am definitely not 18 years younger than my actual age.
I’m 43, and while some might find being mistaken for under 25 flattering, in this case, it was just insulting. I then had to drive all the way home to get my ID, only to return and have the cashier struggle to work out my birth year. I understand that staff have procedures to follow—I’ve worked in bars myself—but there’s a difference between being cautious and being unreasonable.
This whole situation could have been avoided with a little common sense and basic courtesy. I hope Asda ensures staff take a more thoughtful approach in the future.
Asda home delivery - bad job
This review is based on my experience with home delivery services. Having been a previous employee of Asda and being on the home delivery team, it became apparent very quickly that customers were not happy with the substitute part of deliveries, even though the choice to receive them is entirely your choice.
Being a customer I can say the drivers are very helpful and explain to you if anything is missing or substituted, on occasion however what is substituted is entirely a different product type which is annoying, delays and at times non delivery unfortunately made me choose a different supplier, people haven't got endless supplies of money to wait for the money to go back into their accounts before they can eat!
Orders are now delivered in baskets loose, you have to bag them yourself on the doorstep in all types of weather, shame it uses to be a first class service.
BIG MISTAKE SHOPPING ONLINE WITH ASDA!
Online order delivered this evening at 20.40 hrs. Three missing items, but charged for these. Immediately contacted Customer Services who informed me that I have to wait until 23.00 hrs before completing online missing items online form for refund.
Due to poor home delivery service left Asda in 2019 for another supermarket only returning today. BIG MISTAKE! NO IMPROVEMENT! BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!
Please contact me Asda. I very much look forward to hearing from you. You have my contact details.
ASDA IS GARBAGE!
All the large supermarket chains are all terrible when it comes to home delivery.
ASDA are not the worst but they are still rubbish. They can NEVER deliver what you order. They insist on substituting things with totally inappropriate. They off load fresh foods with a use by date the same as the date of delivery. For the prices they charge, they should be able to deliver a much better service. Save your money and shop else where.
What an absolute nightmare, this badly designed ordering system
Trying to pay for my groceries order and to have the order confirmed was almost impossible.
It turns out that their site is very badly designed. They do not prompt you to provide the 3-digit security code from your card, and WORST OF ALL their biggest mistake is to fail to alert that customers paying with an Amex card must use the FOUR-DIGIT code on the front of their card. What a stupid error in their site design - could most likely drive away huge numbers of their customers. An appropriate apology would be appreciated by this very frustrated and angry customer, who managed somehow to work it out for himself having had no beneficial help from several direct calls made to Asda’s help people.
I bought the valentines meal
I bought the valentines meal , what a bargain, delicious and more than enough
Popped into petrol station- mis selling
Popped into petrol station to buy some porridge- the assistant said it won’t scan and another went to check the price- ‘oh just well it for £2.65 like the Scott’s porridge. That’s not the right price I said. Well you can either buy it for that or don’t buy it! - I looked up the price on your website and I paid £1.98!!! Stop guessing- or give it for free rather than extortion and mis selling!
Just awful
Just awful. I use Asda for the convenience as they always have delivery slots available last minute as opposed to their competitors where you have to order quite far in advance.
Despite the occasional mistake and irrelevant substitutions I’ve continued to shop there, so it’s kind of my own fault for continuing to put my trust into them.
Last week I ordered a full weekly shop, it was due to be delivered on Sunday evening. Not only did it arrive later than my booked slot, but two thirds of the shop was missing. Apparently the driver ‘forgot’ to put ALL chilled food on the van, so this did not only affect my food shop, but many others in the area too!
Because of this, I was left with no dinners for my family, no packed lunch for my kids, no milk for breakfast as it was late on Sunday and my 4 children were in bed.
There was no apology or remorse from the driver.
There was no way to find an email to get in contact with Asda so I had to waste my Monday morning on the phone to robotic, scripted customer service who initially offered me a £5 voucher for the inconvenience, which they then upped to a £10 voucher and then a £20 voucher. Bearing in mind the Asda delivery cost alone was about £6 and I now had no food for the week and have to wait 5 days for my £70 refund to go back on my card before going shopping again.
They refused to have the remainder my shop delivered to me, which was all I wanted - so I’m sure all of that chilled food will be fine wasted now as I doubt they would go round putting the whole towns chilled food back on the shelves!
I was told my complaint had been escalated and I would hear back within 24 hours, but now I know this was just a lie to get me off the phone as I’ve heard nothing from anybody apart from an email to say my refund will be with me in 5 working days!
Despicable service, letting a family go hungry for the week because you can’t fix your mistakes and offer a service that I’ve paid for!
I can imagine you will loose many customers in this area for sure - and I’ll continue to share my experience across every platform. Asda groceries do not even deserve one star.
Disgusting!! Asda have my money they owe me almost 15£
Disgusting!!! Am so unhappy u took money out of my account claim they did not starve the money I can't spend and is no longer in my account!!! Order revived missing bread and apparently they can't substitute bread!! But they owe me over 14£ but no refund yet I was told over the phone when I was told that they don't have my money and that they would automatically give it straight back as soon as the delivery was done. Strange you can give it straight back apparently but yet you don't have my money!! Thieves, if I went in the store from your store that wouldn't be allowed he told me it'd be automatic. It would go straight back in my account but it hasn't and I phoned up and they've just told me it can take 3 to 5 days. So I'm supposed to go 3 to 5 days without bread. It's the fact that it's over 14£ than what my delivery came too disgusting just disgusting quality rubbish am fuming
Misleading of Asda
I’m switching back to Morrisons, despite having a Blue Light Card! On January 23rd I shopped at Asda. Which will as it turns out be for the very last time. Many will be aware of an offer on for 3 x 24 cans of Zero coke for £24. The day after I was checking my receipt and noticed I had been charged £33. I of course went to Customer Services at Asda. I explained the situation. Then I was informed that the price was correct! Although there was a £9 DIFFERENCE! The reason being I had picked up 3 of the BOXES with 2 layers in each box rather than a flat pack of EXACTLY the same product. For this privilege was charged an extra £9! Customer Services said I was not the first customer to of done this! To me Asda this is extremely MISLEADING, DISHONEST and a deliberate attempt in order to get an honest customer to buy the more expensive exactly the same product!
Don’t buy Asda gift card
I would not recommend buying Asda gift cards. I recently purchased one in the Bangor branch for a gift and when the recipient went to use it, it had not been activated by the member of staff at the time. I had to fork out another £100 to the recipient so they had the money to replace it right away. Luckily I had kept my receipt which very clearly indicated that although Asda had taken the money which was verified by my bank the message on the receipt clearly stated the transaction had not actually completed onto a gift card. I spent nearly 2 hours trying to sort this out in person with what seemed like deliberately unhelpful managers despite a member of staff advising them they had seen this multiple times and confirmed the message on the receipt clearly indicated the money was never put on a gift card. Upon further investigation I discovered this is in fact a common occurrence. The managers were unwilling to help refund their error. This was very distressing and so I then went to another local Asda and the manager there immediately recognised what had happened and sorted the refund without any of the horrendous issues the Bangor branch subjected me to unnecessarily. That being said, as this is a common fault with Asda gifts cards- my advice is to steer clear and use cash or go somewhere else like I will be now.
today I received a delivery
today I received a delivery, 2 milk bottles broken, milk leaking, 2 creams broken, everything leaking, eggs smashed, the whole delivery very sloppy, I will not shop at Asda groceries because I never receive a full delivery, always a lot of products missing, I do not recommend
Going down hill, now fallen off the cliff
I've been using ASDA for several years now, but it might be time to change. I usually check my order the evening before for out of stock items, yet still I get many orders with 5+ substitutes. Many substitutes are inappropriate. Example, swapping sugar free items for high sugar items. One driver joked a packer substituted condoms for tampons.
Recently the quality has gone. Many out of date or short date items. Three week son the run now my green beans have been brown and mushy. This week add mould to that. They should not have been packed with fresh food. Add this to crushed bread, cereal, etc. One order was covered in red wine, and when I asked for a refund on the wine soaked bread, it was refused.
UPDATE:
Lost another star. Never using ASDA again. Delivery due between 6 & 7pm never turned up on Thursday. Website said it was running late and I was next up to 9pm. At 9:10pm it said it wouldn't be delivered. I should have gone out at 8pm, but waited like an idiot. Next day when I managed to get through to customer service, I was told I need to speak with the branch and they should have already contacted me. Eventually managed to speak to the branch who said I could collect the shopping if I wished. A 44 mile round trip for groceries that have been sat in a van overnight, no thanks. Only option was to cancel. I couldn't get a delivery until Saturday, but I have a mid week delivery pass, so had to pay for the Saturday shipping. No offer of this for free, no compensation for my wasted time. Whats more, the bread was on its last date, so I asked for a refund and was denied. What an absolute joke of a company. Zero customer service. Off to Tesco I will go.
Asda Flavourful 5% fat minced beef steak.…
I bought Asda Flavourful 5% fat minced beef steak and although it was fresh and still in date, I found the taste of the meat was fatty and rancid even though it was not off. It's the quality that is bad. I think it's probably down to the supplier using a cheaper animal feed. This has changed and spoiled the taste of the meat. It ruined the entire meal for my family and had to be thrown away. I certainly will not be buying anymore minced steak or any other meat from Asda in future.
Fail to deliver the order, but mark as delivered…
Nearly every online order comes with damaged items which they fail to refund until I made a call to customer care support.
But the last case was especially awful. They failed to deliver nearly 1/3 of my order - 6 pizzas - the suppose supper. They just didn't deliver! The next day, I have re-ordered them as I still needed them and relied on the delivery. The delivery was order for 6-7 pm. They failed to deliver. At 8 pm I had to call the customer support once again. The customer agent promised delivery within several minutes. 8.45pm - I still don't know where is my order. At 10.15 pm it is marked as delivered. But it WAS NOT delivered! The service without a service! Delivery without delivery! Asda - you feel to be the worst, non-client focused superstore
