One man in particular is so rude and a lady who was in the shop at the same time as me was saying he had just been rude to her too. We actually believe he does not like women. His measuring was hilarious and tried to say it was correct. I had to put him on the phone to my husband who corrected him. He had to go through the measurements that needed cutting. A complete joke! Not a friendly place at all and has gone down hill.

From Jan 2022 - I will only be using Atlantic as others don’t compare .

Ordered cornice for kitchen. Kept up to date every step of the way. Super quick processing and delivery of the order. Wood quality much better than DIY stores and, best of all, it's cheaper! Would recommend (no pun intended!).

2nd nov 21 I went for an off cut of 2x1 x 5ft timber as i have done for over 2 years the price was £2 +vat a good price then ask for it to be cut down the middle omg surprise they wanted £5 .this would take less than
1 min including set up.This is daylight robbery and i can't understand how they arrive at this service i wont be going again and i will tell all my friends

RUDE unhelpful staff I’m sorry but I interrupted their conversation man did I pay for that! Went especially for wood cut to size, didn’t expect to pay for off cuts also, if I wanted I could leave it and they’d sell it on as off cut, but I’d paid for it, so that means they get paid twice for the same product, plus £1 per cut boy has this place gone to the dogs and below, not surprisingly it was dead, used to be the busiest and best now -10/10 total bad place to shop

These guys are great - friendly, no nonsense, professional and accurate. As a very bad DIYer, it can feel a bit intimidating going to a specialist place but the people who I spoke to were really helpful and not at all patronising and I got the materials for my project, tailor-made thanks to the machine shop, at a great price. After discovering that the square cupboard I was shelving was neither plumb nor square, I needed the shelves trimming and the shop offered to do it for free. As the size issue was not their fault (nor mine!) I insisted on paying and the new cuts were perfect and done quickly. Highly recommended all round. You simply will not find this range of product combined with great customer service elsewhere, and you get the satisfaction of shopping at a small business.

I just ordered a range of timber parts for my workshop bench project. Atlantic Timber had everything I needed so I duly ordered it from them. It arrived in good time, the plywood was pre-cut to my specifications and extremely well protected and wrapped. Edge and corner protection meant there was no damage. A couple of minor niggle for me, 1 the ply was a bit rough, with lots of knots and the carriage fee was a fair bit. I know many couriers use volumetric pricing so it is not always down to the supplier , but there you go, if you want it to the door and most of us probably do during these silly times, I guess you have to pay ., Would I use them again, without a doubt.

Awful customer service. Let’s hope you don’t get a faulty product.. they just don’t call back and make excuses the person (Owen) is busy... never again... £200 badly spent..

I read some bad reviews about these guys before going down there today for the first time, and I really expected to be leaving unhappy!
I was however very surprised when it actually turned out they are all very polite and very helpful. The experience I had today was a very long way from the bad experiences some people seem to have had , don't really understand it.
Anyway I'll be very happy to use these guys again and have found another decent wood suppliers to add to the list.
Atlantic also had materials that the wood yard I normally use just don't stock, infact they didn't even know what it was when i asked them (poplar ply and bendy ply), hence the trip to Atlantic !!
All in all what can I say, nice guys, helpful, a good experience.

I have used Atlantic timber several times now and have been very pleasantly surprised by the high levels of service on every occasion.
I’ve been kept up to date on delivery and on querying anything have always had a prompt and helpful response. Brilliant company all round and will highly recommend.

Incredibly good customer service. Knowledgeable staff who do what they can to help and advise.

I orderd 2 days before the lockdown on thier ebay site , lockdown came so i contacted them on thier facebook page and clearly asked under the current situation i can understand if they cant fulfill the order then can and refund i was told no they will certainly fulfill the order alss..
Lied to me and ebay about dispatching the items i ordred then finally after about 2 weeks they admitted they never even had the items in stock , even told ebay they dispatched them , then tried to tell me that they didnt know why "ebay" marked them as dispatched ,im not a fool ebay doesnt mark them as dispatched only the seller can do that ,
after ebay advised me to upload the pictures of the Facebook converstions did the seller finally refund me 2 weeks later , by this time i can find no where to deliver the timber i want , there was pleanty if they had told me the truth and cancelled in the firat place even a week after.
Final straw i left them Neutral feed back on ebay (not negative 'cause i tought of the current situation ) , these jokers contacted ebay and had the feeddback removed ( the a simple sentence about marked and told as dispatch when not i stock -nothing else) just off the chat with ebay admitting that thier collegue incorrectly removed the feedback after the seller contacted them ..some nerve after lying and holding on to my money during this period .
i can upload all the pictures neccasary( of our facebook conversations ebay reviews and the one i just had wit h the ebay agent about the Feed back forum) if this bussiness contest this legitimate review

This company is local to me and I'm a great believer in supporting local businesses - silly me ... in this case. Probably a great company if you just need to collect some wood off the shelves or some screws etc... BUT, if you're there to have some wood cut to size (as they advertise) then be prepared for appalling customer service. I was the only one waiting to be served and stood around for at least 10 minutes before being served whilst "the guys" were chatting amongst themselves and not serving their customers. When they finally did lower themselves to come over to serve and I pointed out that I'd been standing there waiting in full view for 10 minutes I was told that if I didn't like it then I knew what I could do! Go elsewhere and avoid this company with a barge pole. If I could give zero stars I would as that's what they deserve. They're RUBBISH

Exceptional customer service from placing the order, the quality of the boards (including the clean cuts) and the great care taken in securely packaging the wood for delivery to ensure zero damages. The customer service team even called me to double-check some of the details to ensure no errors/confusion. It's rare to receive such service in this day and age, and I would highly recommend Atlantic Timber to anyone else out there!

I received 5 planks of pressure treated softwood from here, they arrived soaked right through covered In mould with bits of the plank rotting and flaking away, they also stunk absolutely awful. I contacted customer services and was told on more than one occasion the state of the planks I received is typical of what they provide on their low grade wood, being low grade wood was never disclosed I had no idea about this until they stated it in their message . When I pointed out that what they were telling me wasn’t in any of the listings descriptions , they told me to look again. They had changed the listing but I had taken a screenshot before they had done this. Dealing with them is not worth the hassle so I’ve thrown the planks in my garden next to an old pallet that’s been out there for several months and is actually in better condition than the planks they sent me. I will not be purchasing from here again and have put this time down to experience definitely do not recommend. No refund or exchange was ever offered at any point.
