I was slightly apprehensive as I had never had my ear wax removed using suction and also had never been to Hidden Hearing before. As soon as I arrived I felt completely at ease. The lady who did the treatment explained very clearly what would happen and before she put the instrument in my ear she let me hear what the noise would sound like and told me to tell her to stop if I needed a break from it. It was far pleasanter than having my ears syringed as I had in the past. I will not hesitate to return to Hidden Hearing the next time I need my ears syringed as wax removing.

I had an appointment in Chester with Daniel Nicholson. He was so thorough and explained what and why he was doing at every stage. I must admit that I was a bit apprehensive before I got there, thinking it would be high pressure sales. But far from it! He didn’t pressurise me at all, but fully explained what problems I have with my hearing, and left the decision completely up to me, to go back when I have decided what to do.

After a number of years wearing hearing aids that still left me only picking up 60% of a conversation, which understandably created friction between by Wife & I. Further frustration at my confused replies to conversations amongst my friends and golf partners, convinced me to book an appointment with Hidden Hearing at Chris Malkin Physiotherapy in Heswall on the Wirral.

On arrival I met Kate, who immediately put me at ease understanding the issues that I was having. After an inner ear examination and hearing test I tried on some Oticon miniRite hearing aids, with the latest AI technology. There was an immediate improvement, I was delighted. The hearing aids came in three levels, I chose the top model, which is the most expensive but comes with the highest level of adjustments. After my order came in (less than a week) Kate adjusted them to my prescription via software on her computer. I went away delighted at my improved hearing, as delighted as I was it paled in comparison to how happy my wife was that I was no longer misinterpreting our conversations - as the saying goes “Happy Wifey, Happy Lifey!” It was great to be my old self with my mates joining in with full conversations again, as I had started to become withdrawn as I couldn’t really fully understand what was being said, so I stayed quiet. Kate has been amazing in helping me normalise my life again by giving me the technology to get my hearing back. I have no hesitation in recommending anyone with hearing issues to book an appointment with Kate at Chris Makin Physiotherapy in Heswall. You I am sure will be as delighted as I have been, it’s not just about hearing it’s getting your relationships back. Thank you Kate, you are Amazing!

First of all, we were welcomed by name, and made to feel that we were important to the hearing consultant we met.
Everything was carefully explained, and questions respected and fully answered. A diagnosis was made, that we could understand and possible solutions were described in detail. Costs were open and relative merits presented clearly.

I was quite anxious about having this procedure done as I didn’t know what to expect, plus I’d been having a few problems with my ears, but Terri made me feel at ease. She talked through everything initially, whilst keeping me updated throughout. I would highly recommend Hidden Hearing!

A return visit but after several years. The process was explained and results discussed in detail with graphs and even a view of the inside of my ear!
