Look elsewhere

I wish I'd read the reviews here before ordering the over-ear headphones The experience wasn't all bad though. They arrived within a week and were well packaged, they work as intended and my email requesting a delivery date was ansered promptly. However, for headphones costing this much, the sound quality is poor particularly for music. I'm using them now just to listen instructional YouTube videos where the sound quality is less important. They are also quite tight over the ears and I don't find them comfortable to wear for long periods. My advice - look elsewhere. There are much better sounding headphones on the market at this price point.

Don't buy!!!!!

Like other people on this website I was drawn in by a review and the professional looking website. I tried to cancel the purchase within a few hours but was subsequently informed by customer services that once payment is made that the order goes to their warehouse automatically. Interestingly though the despatch note directly followed the customer service response 24 hrs later.
I have subsequently tried to return and been informed that you have to pay for shipping back to china, all import taxes and a 15 percent restocking fee.
I will dispute with my credit card, but to all others be warned!!!

Fake review, Chinese company

Fake review and fake "UK" company is actually Chinese selling low quality crap. If you ask for a refund they will tell you you have to pay for shipping back to China. Who knows if they even refund you eventually but probably not. Customer "service" takes days to reply of they reply at all. Avoid at all costs and hope you don't get burned like I did.

Do NOT buy auralu earbuds

Do NOT buy auralu earbuds. Firstly they broke 3 months after I bought them after reasonable and careful usage and, secondly, when I asked for a repair or replacement, their customer service was shocking - they did nothing apart from bluff. I'm sorry I didn't read Trustpilot for these earbuds beforehand, they have proven to be a waste of money.

SCAM

SCAM! AVOID! And if you buy items over a certain price, do it when you have plenty of time, and don't make my mistake of rushing past all the red flags!
I was looking for some new headphones, and I googled "best headphones to get in 2023". Amongst the first articles, I find vacumtest.com, which offered decent-looking expert advice, and also contained the affiliate link to the listed products. I didn't recognise the brand, but my thinking was that there are many brands known to experts in specified fields (this Sam on the headphone review site claims to be a sound technician for major events and concerts in the UK), which people not so familiar with the field wouldn't necessarily know as a household name. So I clicked on it, and as I was squeezed for time, walked right past all the red flags which are clear as day at hindsight.
So I'm on the website auralu.co.uk, which claims that it's Black Friday sale is still going on, with a timer of 16 odd minutes, and "still" offering the headphones at half price. I've put it in the basket, which claims it will hold my selection for only 5 minutes, as the product is selling fast, only 5 left in stock. I just "had time" to check the returns policy: it doesn't offer nor free returns, nor printable return labels, if one needs to return, they can do it at their own cost. But shipping is only a few days, so I naively conclude it must be UK-based, so no sweat with returns if it comes to that. So I went ahead with the purchase, paid £109 from my bank account (I haven't even notice at the time that PayPal wasn't even an option, which I would normally use for sellers I haven't worked with before), thinking it's going to be the same process as with normal sellers, if worst comes to worst, I return the product and get a refund. Then I thought I'll use my remaining free minutes to look up some more reviews, and noticed it was reported as suspicious on some scam report sites. So I wanted to contact the seller, the only contact it offers is a "24/7 email support", so I wrote to them to cancel my order. I've got no answer all day yesterday, this morning I've got an email from them that my order has been shipped - so they completely ignored my cancellation request, and when I clicked on the tracking link, it took me to a website with Chinese characters. I don't yet know if the product will arrive at all (it's due by 6 December), according to some reviews on scam report sites, people also found the product to have its own bag of surprises. I'm trying to raise the alarm bells with Customer Protection services, it turns out I cannot even report it on most of the .gov and extension sites, because some of the compulsory to fill details in order to file a report are completely non-existent with this company. As are the usual social media links from the website. Thinking back, the review site already should have been suspicious, listing amongst the cons of the product that it often goes sold out. Can you imagine a decent brand product (e.g. Sony, Bose, Apple etc.) becoming unavailable on any platform, even if it's a US or other countries' supplier? I contacted my bank too, but they cannot do anything to stop the still pending payment from going through at this stage. I'll be watching my card as a hawk for any suspicious transactions going forward, ready to report. Save yourself the money and the hassle, and go to a trustworthy retailer.

This is not a UK company.

Foolishly only noted a couple of reviews before I bought. They sounded positive. Unfortunately only saw the Trustpilot reviews after I finished the purchase. Despite sending an email and using the contact us on the website to cancel straight away. A couple of days later, I received an email saying the goods had shipped. For what good it will do I replied to the despatch email, to explain that I cancelled.

The website gives the impression that this is a UK site. The first sign it isn't a UK company is the time on the order is not GMT. The despatch tracking also links you to a Chinese tracking page. This is not a UK company.

It appears from the site that if I want to return these I am going to be responsible for the postage cost. I will raise a dispute with my bank for this but I'm not sure that will get me anywhere.

A learning experience for me however if you stumble across this review before you buy, I'd consider purchasing if you're happy to risk £100 on what could be generic, Chinese headphones.

Auralu Wireless Headphones

Where to start, reviews show these were the next best quality and sound on wireless headphones. Delivered within 1 week. Will not power up, the instructions do not match the headphones either. As requested by them i have now sent multiple videos of what they have asked to try to show them not working. They now say it is with their Technical department and to "Be Patent" . Do not buy from this company and believe all the negative reviews.

Deceptive marketing for a good product

If I had read the reviews on TP about the deceptive marketing with this company, I would not have ordered. I did not know these were coming from China until the tracking process, and did not know that the review I had read was fake, or that the UK website is a fake front for a UK business. I have learnt for the future.

However, I have now received them, they are unbranded which means they are offered/made to many other outlets as well as Auralu, and this also means that the quality control and customer support would be nearly non existent. The documentation is translated badly. Welcome to the free enterprise to the Chinese market of disposable cheap electrical goods!

However, I will be keeping them, partly because sending them back would end up being difficult, but also I think they are actually rather good. They are comfortable to wear, they have very good sound & ANC quality (I compared them to others), and the charging base works well. So for the price point (I paid £99), I think I have done ok, if they last. Time will tell whether this was a mistake.

I wish I had read these reviews instead…

I wish I had read these reviews instead of the fake one that is sponsored on Google. These headphones are a joke... terrible build quality, terrible sound. I will try to get a refund, but from looking at the other comments I won't hold my breath. A lesson learnt, I guess, and £109 down the drain.

I’ve clearly dodged a bullet

Feeling quite relieved looking at the comments below. I normally check TP before buying from a company I haven’t heard of before, but I didn’t on this occasion. I ordered my ear buds on the 21st November and they arrived yesterday (29th). Product seems pretty well made, but the main thing I’m impressed with so far is the sound quality. It’s really impressive. I even did a sound test with my step son’s AirPods and and we both agreed (trying different types of music from R&B, Rock to classical) this was of the equal (if not marginally better) sound wise. Functionality wise it’s a poor second (still not that bad though) but hat’s the trade off when you’re paying 80 pounds versus nearly 200. I know I’m only on day 2 with these but so far so good. Hopefully I won’t regret writing a pretty positive review.

This company’s products are rubbish

This company’s products are rubbish. The worst company for customer service I have ever dealt with. The product I ordered was not visually the same as the one I ordered. When on calls people said they could not hear me. I tried 15 times to get my money back. They answered my emails occasionally to tell me I was wrong about their products and have refused any kind of refund. Telling me for months to be “patient”! The company, I thought, had an office in the UK - they do not. They took weeks to arrive. These are inferior Chinese products, cheaply made, cheap packaging, cheap carry bag and I spent over £100. I’m complaining here because they do not operate any
Social Media channels. And it’s time to name and shame them. You’ve been warned. Don’t waste your money…. And Auralu - if you do want to do the right thing and give me good customer service - give me a refund! My order number was AU41714.

So far so good…

I bought these headphones for my son for his birthday. Charged easily & lasted on the charge for a couple of days. Sound is really good & the ANC works really well. I wore them for a while to try them out & they are comfy. Delivery took 11 days & that's the correspondence I received. There is bad reviews on here so I was concerned ( I usually check trustpilot) however so far, so good

Fake Review. Terrible Headphones. AVOID.

Fake review leads you to believe these are award winning heads phones. There is a link to a professional looking UK website. In reality the head phones come direct from China. The head phones are terrible. They sound worse with the ANC turned on. Cheap plastic. Heavy and soon become uncomfortable to wear. Too much bass. Poor quality mid' and top end. Payment goes through Ireland, but the company is in China. Decided to cancel my credit card, as didn't trust them with my card details. Once I investigated, everything about the company, the fake review and the sales process is dodgy. Email enquires to Auralu generate an automated response about deliver timescales, even when the question isn't about the delivery. Just avoid at all costs. I have bought my daughter some lower priced Sony headphones. These are 100% better quality and 100% better sound. Auralu should be ashamed of their approach and tactics.
