AVOID THIS COMPANY
Like others on here, I too have been scammed by this company.
I searched "best earbuds" in Google and the top research site was "Vaccum" this website hugely hyped up the Auralu earbuds with what appeared to be legitimate, independent review. It stated the only cons where they were often sold out and were not avaliable on Amazon etc. I proceed to purchase these on the website as the "black friday" sale meant they were 98.00 instead of 199.00. Website looked good. 24 hour support, UK based, complaints and privacy policy, videos etc. It was only when the confirmation came through that I noticed it appeared a bit suspicious. So then found these reviews. I emailed to cancel as per consumer rights act and recieved no response for 2 days.
They sent an awfully written email about how other websites are slandering them and to try them before I return and they would be sent once the order was confirmed. I have stated no several times and even been in contact with my bank. I later found that "vacuum test" website is owned by this same Chinese based company.
My bank have raised it as a fraudulent website and are currently investigating and I have also reported it to the national database website for scam websites and fraudulent activity.
All emails from them state they cannot stop shipping once confirmed. Even though I cancelled twice before they said it had confirmed. I will not be accepting delivery of this item as I have been advised from my bank to do so.
Stay away from this website! Do not order!
Should have read these reviews first!
Should have read these reviews first. Customer "support" is absolutely useless. Changed my mind about ordering headphones and requested a cancellation, as I saw better headphones for cheaper (due to sales). So what do they do? Send them and now I have to mess around, return them (unopened) and wait for a refund.
No word from their support at all, not even a confirmation that I made a request.
A dodgy Chinese company, selling overpriced and poor quality products, using a .co.uk domain. Steer clear.
DOn't fall for this one!
DOn't fall for this one!
Bought a headphone of very bad quality after reading a dutch article, which also turned out to be scam.
WORST EARPHONES I HAVE EVER TRIED
I ordered a pair of the earphones based on comparison websites.
I placed the order and I had to chase the company as after 2 weeks I hadn't received the product.
I can say about the quality of the product and it is not going to be enough. It is fragile, does not fit my ears (so I cannot really use it despite changing the plastic buds), the microphone capture everything besides my voice and sounds, on the other side, as I am inside a truck from a car in movement and the noise cancelling just does not work.
I complained at the company by email after trying it out and I was informed that this is not considered that there is a problem with the product as it is not a quality problem. I was wondering what would be then. Then, I was informed I had to pay taxes and returning fee for receiving the product. Taxes are not mention at all in their T&C or Refund Policy.
I have just seen that it might be from China - as much as there is NO information on the website or from the purchase about China. The T&C mention Hong Kong and Ireland. Also, the address from where it comes is also not from China. In addition, their email is from the UK.
The company offered to give me 10% discount if I decide to keep the product but without being really able to use it, I need a full refund.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY.
I also bought with Klarna and had made a complaint there about it but it seems there is not much they can do - even it being a total scam.
Defective Defective Ear Buds from a Dishonourable Chinese Company
Ordered a pair of these ear buds based on a glowing review at a suspect web address.
The order was placed on October 27th with a promise of a 3-5 day delivery. after repeatedly chasing the company the ear buds arrived on November 13th. They are very poor quality and the noise cancelling does not work.
I emailed the company to complain and was told that the product was fine and the noise cancelling was tested before they left the factory in China!!!
At no time was China mentioned as being the country of origin and when I said I was going to return the items, I was told that the return address marked on the package was not correct and they would send me an address in China to which I should send the ear buds at my cost.
£98 will not break my bank account but I am determined to stop this company supplying these shoddy ear buds to other unsuspecting people.
Under no circumstances give this company any money!!!
To add insult to injury this scam company say that if i return the defective ear buds that will give me a 5% refund!!!
What a scam
What a scam, they went on fire in my bedroom as my wife was in bed sleeping, the charging lead melted and bust into flames. A lucky escape. Please, please don’t buy these potential death traps.
FRAUDULENT COMPANY!! Believe all the reviews
Believe all the reviews, the worst company I have ever dealt with. Website is false advertising for specs are incorrect and being located in China is neglected to mention, offer a guarantee but expect you to pay all the fees. My item is faulty and I'm getting nowhere. Worst experience ever! Even the return address they provide is incorrect, assumably so they can claim they never got it and refuse the refund. AVOID!
UPDATE!!
This is the worst company ever.
I had to pay £12 to post them back, they got stuck in customs and I had to pay £14. Then they deducted 15% from the refund for order cancellation when the item is faulty.
This company is fraudulent. Their trading practices are illegal. Product is not as advertised!
DO NOT USE THEM.
Not sure what everyone is complaining…
Not sure what everyone is complaining about they seem pretty damn good to me .
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!
I bought three pairs sadly without reading the reviews on here!! First pair I opened is faulty, keeps turning off by itself. I contacted customer support wanting to return my orders, they kept asking me to send them videos and keep trying again and again. I have done videos and followed their instructions over and over - that didn’t make the headset work properly. We were going on on and in circles until auralu just stopped replying to my messages. Besides the sound was also cracking up. They never provided the return address in the UK, neither in any other country ( these were sent from Chine BTW) the only thing they said that I have to pay for postage and tax but no where to send these orders.
It’s a scam from China they will not…
It’s a scam from China they will not issue a refund and force the cheap product onto you, DO NOT BUY.
Return address
As already written, I suggest to send back the headphones to the UK warehouse written as return place on the package with a tracked shipment and to write a formal letter (you can download it at the citizensadvice web site). Being the auralu website a UK one, they will have to refund at least a portion of the amount (I accepted 85%). If you do not return the goods you will never get any refund. That is the reason why they provide a crazy Chinese return address and not the UK one written on the package.
WARNING!!!!
Want to join the big number of negative reviews. Typical Chinese outfit with UK website. Sound quality is below average. Don’t want to accept returns. In a string of emails blame me for improper use and gaslight me that sound quality is “very good”. Fake reviews on a website. Left my own review and couldn’t find it. Will have to accept that I’ve been scammed as sending back to China for refund is a complete lottery.
Cheap and nasty.
Utter and complete cr*p. Wasn't expecting hi-end at the price but these really are bout as cheap and nasty as they come. Avoid!!
Scam
Scam! Do not buy!
The company is not based in the UK and the support is a joke. No information on their homepage or in the package about how to return goods.
Warning! Scam! Do not buy!
Do not buy!! These are cheap headphones! Package arrived damaged, customer service non-exsistant!
The company is not based in the UK.
Headphone dont even connect
As above with all other reviews
As above with all other reviews. You are purchasing from China which it does not stipulate as they have a uk website and payment arrangements from Ireland and therefore misrepresent themselves online. Again you cant cancel as they state they have already shipped despite me saying my 11 year old bought this by stealing my credit card details. You cancel 5 minutes after purchase. They respond over 24 hours later to say its already shipped. Still waiting on parcel. Have looked into barclaycard dispute but its a headache and ill have to probs attempt to return the goods to china and pay taxes and postage first at my own expense which again will be a headache and will hadly be worth any potential refund i receive. I will probs have to accept ive been ripped off for nearly £100. I will have to inspect the product if it eventually arrives but after looking at other reviews here im not overly optimistic that the quality will be anywhere near as advertised on thier website. This company shouldnt be allowed to keep trading under this guise and i will inform action fraud. For everyone else do yourself a favour and AVOID at all costs. Wouldnt even give 1 star but cant give a lower review unfortunately.
Crap product
Crap product, fake website and some how have lots of positive reviews across tech website, do not trust them as the product is cheap and horrible.
An elaborate swindle.
Look online for a good quality pair of earbuds, these popped up, No1 pair on some site I looked at, I have a look at their website, VERY slick and professional looking, everything looks great, promise 2 day dispatch, all good so I order a pair. A few days pass, nothing, so I email customer support asking what's going on, receive stock reply with Chinese lettering in amongst the email. Alarm bells start ringing so another Google search brings me to Trustpilot. Oh dear! I immediately email them back instructing to cancel and refund in full and if they didn't I would be contacting my credit card provider to initiate chargeback proceedings. I receive back a dead tracking link. I then immediately contacted my credit card provider to initiate a chargeback which I am glad to say I received, but the case is still live. SO. lo and behold, 17 days after ordering and 14 days after asking to cancel the order evri leave an (unsigned by anyone) package at my front door. It's the earbuds, in a box with a generic pic on it with no barcode on it. Next morning I receive an email from them telling me their earbuds are good and to reverse the chargeback. No chance mate. I ask them for a return address to get their earbuds safely back to them but so far they haven't given me it, just informing me that I'll have to pay postage, taxes, labelling ect ect ect. Thankfully someone on another review has posted their return address. All in all a bizarre experience, if the buds were £20- £30 quid or so I might have let it slide and put it down to experience but £98 quid? No chance. I'll be sticking to the tried and tested next time.
Just recieved these headphones they are…
Just recieved these headphones they are cheap and rubbish. Took me well over an hour to even get them to charge. I need noise cancelling to help with being overwhelmed due to ASD absolutely disgusted.
They are cheap they speak in mandarin. The aren't even the same design as the box or bag that they come in
