We had three rooms updated

We had three rooms updated, bathroom, en-suite and cloakroom. The quality of the workmanship and in particular the fitting was, quite frankly, superb. The fitter, Darren, was courteous, very tidy, methodical and worked safely throughout considering we are during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Unforeseen problems due to our 40 year old house were quickly and satisfactorily resolved by both Avanti’s fitter and project manager, Tom.
My wife and I are very happy with the final results and the fitter was the star.

Disappointingly Poor

Sadly, we decided to have a bathroom and kitchen with Avanti, our bathroom fitting was not the experience we were hoping for. Very poor quality, damaged sink unit (twice), warped cupboard door and lack of attention to care and detail. We have subsequently cancelled having our kitchen with them.

Dear Claire. In response to your post, I can only apologise if you are not completely satisfied with your new bathroom. However, having investigated your circumstances I am not convinced that your criticism is entirely justified. Avanti’s 40 year success story is built very much on family values and first class customer service, we fit over 30 Kitchens, bedroom and bathrooms every week and no business, without exception, can guarantee that every item will arrive on site in perfect condition. What we can guarantee is that in every eventuality we will without prejudice replace any damaged items, we would not knowingly leave your bathroom installation if you still had justifiable issues with any product or with the workmanship. I am reliably informed that upon completion you refused a visit we had arranged from our senior Bathroom Installation Manager who would have been at your disposal to rectify anything you weren’t 100% happy with. This is still on offer, if you feel that you have been unfairly treated in any way or we can do more to meet your expectations I can arrange another visit from a senior member of staff or if would like to talk to myself please email me direct at: jonathan@avantikb.co.uk

I wish I had gone to Homebase

Great showroom and there was nothing they could not do for me....until I signed a contract.
They produce a picture of your dream kitchen which includes cupboards and drawers which they do not sell.
They make bespoke cupboards for which they cannot supply bespoke doors.
They were not covid safe during delivery or fitting.
They missed jobs off the fitters plan which he wanted extra money for.
The delivery was incomplete and included 4 damaged doors.
They claimed the missing parts would take a month to come from Italy and I had to put up with an incomplete kitchen for over a month. They were actually available for next day delivery online.
The replacement doors also had damage.
They leave all the damaged items and the packaging for the damaged items for the customer to get rid of.
The fitter used a folded piece of cardboard to stop the cookerhood rattling.
The undersink cupboard was completely full of plumbing with no room left for anthing else.
On completion there was a long list of damage to doors, drawers and shelves.
After these were supposedly put right many had not been.
Then I found out that the rail system which makes the kitchen handleless had simply been glued in place instead of using the correct clip system which was the reason for the poor finish.
The impression they leave is one of "we couldn't care less". The director will never respond to you. The project manager was ineffective. The fitter, a contractor, who had either never fitted that type of kitchen before or didn't care at the end that the clips weren't available and just glued it hoping I wouldn't notice. I was told he was the best at fitting a handle less kitchen
They did pay compensation.
They agreed to pay the extra money I had had to pay the fitter but it has not been paid.
They will not reply to my emails. I dread anything going wrong with the kitchen down the line.
I wish I had gone to Homebase

I can only apologise for this situation, Avanti’s 40 year success story is built very much on family values and first class customer service, so, naturally as a Director I am very disturbed that this has been brought to my attention, we fit over 30 Kitchens, bedroom and bathrooms every week and this is a very unusual situation. In this instance, amongst other things I believe there were some issues around fitting some of your own existing appliances, including the cooker hood which you have mentioned and the waste bin from your old kitchen, where the installers actions were well intended. That being said these are by no means mitigating circumstances and I am not happy with the way this installation was concluded. Avoid. Our dream kitchen is more nightmare on elm street!

Sadly the aftercare or rather lack of needs improvement! The fitting of our kitchen took 3 days, and it not a small kitchen and it clearly showed, scruffy joints, holes, scuffs and scratches, and damaged units covered up , clearly showed a lack of due care. We did not want the standard extractor but was shown a plan of a sweet canopy, but what we got was a boxed monstrosity nothing like the plan/design. A Mr Arthurs has proven he is very good at being rude to customers along side Malcolm who reduced me to tears, must say nice way to treat customers who spend over the average on new kitchen! We are awaiting sink no 4 ! Complaints higher up do not seem to get replied but they are good are trying to point the blame at the customers when fitting is clearly poor. We had taken my complaint to Consumer Direct/TS to hopefully get the final part of my kitchen resolved, although some has now been remedied but not the full kitchen. Also have recording of staff member clearly informing Mr Arthur of the problem to which Mr Arthur says to the staff member " not your place to comment" and this from a project/installations manager who has done everything to avoid at that time actually seeing the Canopy! If a fitter cannot comment on the wrong item then who can! Poor service from customer service! This sadly is also the same installation manager who came into our home and spoke not but 1 word to us or approach us to discuss the issues, rude Imo at the very best! We are now seeking court action against this company for the nightmare it has been for the past 3 months. Imo this company needs to be avoided, it is all not roses as they make you believe when signing the paperwork. Photographic evidence available .

Avoid at any cost, is my advice.

We had our bathroom fitted, was ment to take 2 weeks but took months, all I can say it was hell because poor workmanship, we had so many problems. It take .e hours to list them. However, finaly a new set of fitters had to come a rip out 90% of what had been done, it was better but still not what we had been promissed, but it was done

Then A month ago we noticed some floor tiles had already started to become lose. I did raise the fact the floor prep should have been done. But they were the experts!!! Anyway they booked in to repair the floor yesterday but no one turned up.

So after phonecalls they arrived today, and to my horror the where in the process of sticking the floor tiles backdown with silicon this was directly to the cracked and broken adhesive. At which point I had no alternative but to kick them out. We are sick of substandard work for a bathroom that is cost us over 10k
