Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 65 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people expressed significant dissatisfaction with the payment process, finding it problematic and leading to unexpected fines. Customers frequently reported issues with the pricing, noting that charges often escalated without clear justification. Furthermore, many found the car park locations to have unclear signage, leading to confusion and unintended penalties. A significant number of consumers also highlighted the impossibility of contacting the company, with automated systems and unanswered emails being common complaints. This lack of communication extended to the claims process, where appeals were often ignored or rejected without proper investigation, sometimes resulting in increased fines and involvement of debt collectors.

Hi.
I am disabled with blue badge which is fixed to visor as I cannot bend easily to remove it if on dashboard.
Anyway. I was ticketed twice on Tandem Center Coliers Wood as parked on disable space without showing blue badge. But it was , attached to visor.
So then I appealed on my iphone. Then they increased penalty. Then they start to treat me with bailif.
No contact to them, no phone number to living person.
But I found some form on internet and someone answer to me that I NEVER appealed. Really funny cos I discover that when I used iPhone I can appeal every 5 minutes and have answer that they have it.
After exchanging few emails they decided to cancel my pcn as a good will .
But this is not the end. They pcn me again.
But this time I decided to use laptop to appeal with windows and it works.
But then they decided to charge me 20 pounds only but I did not want to pay.
I contacted my local MP and she sent them letter.
Then nothing.
Few days later I had chance to appeal again from my iPhone and it works.
Then today I wanted appeal higher to IAS and to my suprise my pcn was cancelled.
But no letter, no email with decision.
I don’t think is a proper way to do business specially with parking issues.
If you need to contact living person please use this email enquiries(at)bankpark.co.uk , only way to contact them.

Did anyone else have problems at…

Did anyone else have problems at fountain street parking Hull on the 11/03/2026 their machines where down. I have just received a parking charge. I appealed and it’s been refused all though I paid on that day £5 for apparently for 3hours 20 minutes they say it wasn’t enough, and charged me £60. I did not see any signs telling me it’s pay on display. But I was in a rush because I didn’t get parked for over 20 minutes.

How can this company get away with…

How can this company get away with this. I parked in a car park for a GP surgery at 6.20pm on 2nd March 2026 and left at 6.40pm after my appointment. I had never been before and it was pitch black. I received a parking charge letter dated 7th March 2026. The photo proof shows the car in an empty car park in the dark. The charge didn't arrive until much later than the date on the letter. I appealed it on 23rd March 2026, but today (31st March 2026) I received another letter dated 21st March 2026 saying that the charge had been increased to £100. I've not had a response to my appeal yet. Unless they uphold my appeal or get someone to talk to me, there is no justification in making payment.

CAREFULLY check dates of notifications!!!!

Not sure what's going on with this company!!! Parked at Hull Royal infirmary. Got 2 consecutive parking fines, which were legitimate.
However...
I knew nothing of a 2nd parking charge till 25/03/26 when I received a £170 fine/debt collection agency. The charge date was 09/01/26. I disputed it as I had not received ANY previous correspondence notifying me. I was sent, via email, a copy of the original charge letter, dated the 20/92/26 - *42 days after the initial parking charge.
It says on their initial notification of charge letter (which i never recieved, I've double checked my post) that if the charge is paid within 14 days it will be £60 not £100. If not settled after 28 days it may go to a debt collection agency. As their letter was not sorted for 42 days after, I never stood a chance of paying the lesser charge (£60) I have proof of the date discrepancy. On their website it says I cannot dispute the charge because it's in the hands of a Dept Collection Agency.
So I will have to dispute it via other means.
Further to this review. Bank Park complaints Dept have honored the £60 charge which was a legit parking charge.

Used to be a reasonably good company. Now appalling

I use this company as part of a free 4 hours parking at a health club, which is part of a hotel, local to where i live. I have just received a parking fine, for either overstaying (npr photo show this is not the case), or not paying (which i don't need to).

I am one of numerous members of this health club who have received not just one but multiple fines which seem to have been sent 'in error'. How on earth can this happen when their system must have information as to which car registrations are exempt from paying. I have appealed this fine, but again, from some previous reviews will I ever hear from them again before the debt collectors arrive.

From previous reviews, I am very suspicious that they are just randomly sending out fines in the hope that maybe a few may be panicked into paying. I cannot understand why a good quality hotel is using such an appalling company to manage their parking. I have used their car parks in the past and have found them to be quite a good company. I don't know what has happened, but I would never, out of choice, use them again.

SHOCKING!!!!!

SHOCKING!!!!!! Drove into the car park and waited for 13 mins to try get a space whilst my wife attended a hospital appointment, by the time she had been seen and phoned to say she was finished I hadn't left my car as no spaces available, tried to appeal my £60 parking fine and it was rejected, but due to all the contact numbers being automated you cant actually speak to a human and as for contacting customer services via email, well you'd get more use from a chocolate teapot!!!!

Joke of a company scammers

Use their car parks regularly. Had to use app as ticket machine not working. I have two cars registered. I used the wrong reg on one occasion by mistake. Received a fine. Filled in an appeal. No comms on appeal finding although their system showed it was under review. received an increased fine. Wrote an appeal. No comms. Fine increased. E-mailed a complaint. No comms. Just wrote another complaint and appeal. Not expecting anything. Next move is ICP. But what a waste of time. How does the elderly cope with this no machine working and having to upload an app to their phones. total charlatan's. Just want to put a notice telling people not to use.

Parked in a bankpark site in Mansfield . I received a parking charge for £60 for non payment . Luckily I kept the ticket in the car and sent this as evidence when I appealed. A few weeks later they emailed to say they dropped the charge no apology. If I didn't have the ticket they would have charged me £60 . Just a scam really

Bank Park lousy service on the same level as Excel parking

Why is it not possible to leave zero stars for this lousy company? Just read their website and the garbage it spews about their ethos and how different they are. Cannot get through on any extension number to get a simple recipt that their machine could not provide in Hull when I parked as it was empty. Once I actually got through but spoke to somone rude in Sheffield about opening a gate so it was totally the wrong ext number that their phone directed me to. All other extensions put you on hold, dont work, and either ask you to email them or it just hangs up and says to try again later. Emailed three times for a receipt and never a response received. Strikes me that they are just a group of parking cowboys on the make. How can standards in business as low as these be allowed to trade and have a website that is just junk and lies ? I'll bet they'd have somebody in court pronto if you ever decided to dispute a pcn as far as you can. Company should be closed down immediately!!

Final demand issued as first contact – proof of payment ignored

I parked at one of Bank Park Parking Management’s locations and paid for my parking in full. I hold clear proof of payment.

Despite this, the first and only correspondence I received was a letter titled “Final Debt Recovery Notice” claiming I had not paid. Issuing a final demand as a first contact is wholly unacceptable and procedurally wrong.

I have since:

Submitted proof of payment

Lodged a formal appeal by email

Requested the charge be placed on hold while under dispute

All of this has been ignored.

Your website instructs customers to log in to resolve issues, yet when I do so, I am blocked with a message stating the matter has been referred to debt recovery. You cannot simultaneously prevent contact via your system while ignoring written correspondence.

You also direct complaints to a PO Box only, rather than providing a functional online complaints process. This appears to be a deliberate stalling tactic, as postal correspondence is significantly slower than email.

Your website refers to “award-winning” service. Based on my experience, this is difficult to understand. Issuing final demands without prior notice, ignoring proof of payment, and refusing to engage with a legitimate dispute is not acceptable practice.

I have also formally requested the contact details of the alleged debt recovery agent, which I am legally entitled to receive. This request has also been ignored.

To summarise:

Parking was paid

No initial notice was received

A final demand was issued as the first letter

Proof of payment and appeals have been ignored

Access to resolution channels is blocked

Debt recovery is being referenced while a dispute is active

I am still awaiting a response.

Paid for parking in full

Paid for parking in full. No overstay. No misuse.
Received a charge solely because of a single-character typo when entering my registration.
Despite confirming that a valid payment existed and no loss occurred, Bank Park Management Ltd required a £20 “administrative fee” to cancel the charge, calling it a “goodwill gesture.”
If a fully paid parking session can still be penalised over a minor typing error, that tells you everything you need to know.

I'd vote less than 1 if i could

I'd vote less than 1 if i could. I parked at a hospital car park on Christmas day because a relative was very ill. I paid via the app and they send me a fine. Obviously I appealed and got a letter saying it was an error NO KIND OF APOLOGY for the stress etc.

It's clear these people send out fines as a matter of course. Avoid their carp parks at all costs. Time wasters.

This is an absolute joke

This is an absolute joke! I received x 3 letters yesterday 27-01-2026 having all dates back dated, 16 December, 24 December, 7 January, saying I have 14 days then one says 28 days, and now I'm handed over, and there's no way I can even make contact with this place. How can a company operate like this!!! 24 December is one letter, Xmas eve??? What a load of rubbish. I need someone to contact me, as this surely is not legal to back date letter in this way !!!

Unclear signage at Marketplace Car Park…

Unclear signage at Marketplace Car Park in Burgess Hill. The signage at the entrance to the car park says 'Welcome to Waitrose', with the super market's opening times stated below. Many people have used the car park thinking it was free and been fined by Bank Park. Not only do they not allow you to make good and pay for the parking time, they do take notice whenyou inform them that the driver is different from the registered keeper. They are profiting from unclear signage and people's honest mistakes.

Do not use

I pay for a parking spot for the whole month. I have received a parking ticket for not being in the lines of a bay however the space I pay for was given to a pay as you go driver taking my spot I had no where else to park, I’ve had this happen twice to which my appeal was granted, this time around appealed straight away, not heard anything after 28 days, emailed 4 times as the number I keep getting told to call is a robot what only takes payments, I am now trying to review my appeal and it’s saying it’s with the debt agency and I have not been notified about this, I was told my fine would be on hold, this has been on going since November 2025, I literally don’t know what to do, I’ve also deleted the appeal confirmation when clearing out my inbox today by mistake and only have emails of me chasing updates. They now want £170.
