Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 72 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers reported issues with payment systems, where payments failed despite their efforts or were not properly registered, leading to fines. People also found the pricing to be excessive, with charges escalating rapidly from small amounts to significantly higher fines, sometimes for very short parking durations. The signage at various car park locations was often unclear or contradictory, causing confusion about parking rules and leading to unexpected penalties. Customers consistently found it impossible to contact the company, with calls going unanswered and emails receiving no response, even when trying to appeal charges or obtain information. Many also felt that claims of non-payment or overstaying were often unfounded, as they had proof of payment or had not even parked, yet still faced escalating fines and debt collection notices.

Scummy behaviour

Absolute scummy behaviour, users of the Hilton Road car park in Stoke on Trent, need to beware, YOU WILL BE FINED FOR RUNNING OVER THE TIME, please ignore what the hospital staff tell you if your treatment runs over as they suggest this is the normal procedure and tell you that you are not fined, absolute BS, probably on the take from this company, scummy behaviour as I say as we have landed a £60 fine which I expect others having treatment lasting longer than expected will be told, PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS BS UNLESS YOU’RE MORE THAN HAPPY TO BE FINED! I await the condescending response from the people involved with this company 🤬

I received a fine from Bank park at JD…

I received a fine from Bank park at JD gyms in West Bromwich even though I visited the gym and used the tablet to enter my vehicle details. JD gyms were unhelpful and failed to respond to my emails resulting in Bank park escalating the fine to almost £200 which I have had to pay to avoid the matter going to court. It has been a terrible experience. The letter from Bank park arrived on the last possible day to appeal so was a waste of time trying to get any sense out of anyone. Avoid this company as they are nothing but bullies and leaches!

Bogus fines

I am experiencing escalating fines from this company because they claim i parked in a car park managed by them. I have not been anywhere near the car park in my life. I have appealed and written two emails which they have conveniently ignored and are threatening to use a dept recovery service. Please do not ever use this company.

Very poor and unfair parking management…

Very poor and unfair parking management by Bank Park.

I received a parking charge even though I never parked in any bay. I entered the car park when the gate opened, and there was no sign indicating it was full. Once inside, many cars were circling with no available spaces. I was with my 75-year-old diabetic mother and my two young children, and due to my mother’s worsening health, I had no choice but to exit without parking.

I formally appealed and clearly requested a CCTV/ANPR review to confirm that I never parked. Despite this, no investigation was carried out, and I was simply told to pay without any evidence being provided.

I was informed that the charge would be £60 if paid early, yet the system only demanded £100. After repeated attempts to contact them by phone and email — all of which were ignored — I was left with no option but to pay £100 for no valid reason.

This was a really shameful and stressful experience. The lack of transparency, communication, and basic fairness is extremely disappointing. I would strongly advise others to be cautious.

The UK's worst parking company (probably)

I have been using a Bank Park car park for many years and the car park is a complete mess. There are large holes in the tarmac which cause havoc to your car, with wires protruding in some cases (as the site is a where an office block once stood). The car park is advertised as secure, yet I have chased thieves who were robbing a truck (as the vehicle was out of sight of the cameras and the 'security guard' had already clocked off at 12.30pm. I reported the issue to the Bank Park and they just didn't care. They have ignored several emails for requests for footage (so I could help police) but again this was ignored. They really only monitor whether people park properly as they are a business, but the lack of customer care is beyond a joke.

Charged for 6 mins over including Damages ?

Kevin Ml
date of alleged parking infringement 17.5 2022 YES 2022 Fountain street 'Hull (next to the Hospital)
I couldn't park as there were no spaces available so I sat in my car for a while awaiting a space to become free,
whilst unbeknown to me the clock was ticking.Point to note is there is no sign telling of any parking spaces free or indeed that the car park was full,so people like me enter (get a photo of number plate taken) and have ''I was told by your company only on friday 28th that there is a 10 min grace period.
I couldn't get parked but as Im an honest person I did try to pay and get a receipt just in case !!!! however the money kept falling through, you say there were other machines on site,I didnt see them but time was getting on,I gave my change to a lady who said her money had not fully returned, and I left to collect my wife from the hospital.Again to quote your agent I was 16 mins on site,i.e 6 mins past the 10 mins grace period.I have paid the claim as I don't want a ccj against my name, but of course you already presume this.
My question is as this hasn't and wont go to court as I have paid £295.18,looking at the claim form it says
you are claiming £160 with damages ,DAMAGES ? Behave yourself
Court fee £35 ? what court fee? there isn't a court date ....!!!!
Legal representatives costs £50 why ?
Im thinking,THINKING I might have been overcharged by mistake and if so would like to have any monies I have overpaid to you returned please, also I'm thinking if I am the only one who has done this to fend off the threat of a county court judgement on their name for the next 6 years.
I have paid what you asked for ,please will you check it as I'm not the kind of person to go away quietly if a wrong even through error has been done to me.
Please respond to me by e mail or mobile 07958======
At the time you first contacted me in 2022 3 YEARS AGO I explained it all to you, explained it to the hospital they told me they would also contact you,and finally my local MP Karl Turner was on this, they even told me last week they thought it was ''done and dusted'' but will indeed be in touch again with you.
I will await your advice before I ask for the best way to proceed either in person from the Citizens advice, or a solicitor friend and decide what to do from there .Thankyou Kevin 29/11/2025

No sign of good will...yet

Confusing signage led to them charging me £100 for an hour of parking (PCN). Even though they and the adjudicator acknowledge that some of the bays are closer to the signage of their neighbouring parking provider they made no effort to meet me half way and no assurances that they would work with their neighbour to resolve the issue. A little bit like they don't really want to solve this issue... wonder why. In any case, I will try to mediate with the company in good will and do my best to find a resolution and to encourage them to resolve the issue so that future customers don't end up in the same situation as me. I've not heard back from them yet, but if the situation is resolved amicably I will update my review and rating accordingly. Here's to hoping for a positive response!

Final notice when didn't receive a first notice

Parked in a car park in stoke.
Paid for an hour or so on the machine, Paid another hour on the app due to being the other side of town and things taking a little longer than needed.
Weeks later I received a final notice, didn't even receive a first one.
They are claiming I didn't pay on the machine when I did because I remember having the exact money in coins.
Absolutely bloody useless to get hold of... I will never park in one of their car parks again... they have 1 job and can't even do that right

Dodgy parking app and company

I parked at their Cavendish Street car park in Sheffield. Paid using their TwinPay app. App showed payment taken. Later that day when I returned to park a second time the app wasn't working so parked elsewhere just in case. Got a parking charge for the first parking despite having paid initially. Now the app shows I didn't pay so no way of challenging the charge! Highly suspicious and I agree with the other reviewer Gee Stone. Be warned.

Made up charges and fine. Bank Park is a con parking company

I paid for my parking and have proof on bank statement. Received a £60 fine and appealed. Still had to pay £20 admin fee as they said my reg number was input incorrectly. Highly unlikely but my ticket is long gone. They also charged an extra £1.50 for paying the fine by card. Absolute robbers and con people. Do not use this car park

I don’t even want to put a 1

I don’t even want to put a 1. Received a letter from this parking firm at the start of October demanding to pay £170 and that this was the final chance. The parking offence was in August but I had only just received the letter in October. The letter states that I had been given two chances already of paying but I had received absolutely no communication until the £170 letter. I am a nurse and has parked here for 20 minutes to attend a patient visit out in the community. I have emailed the complaints email that is on the letter twice, however have received no response. Also both letters that have been sent this month suspiciously arrive the day before the deadline. I will keep fighting, it’s not on!!

I was issued a Parking charge which I appealed against and had the charge dropped. 4 Weeks Later I got a reminder to pay, and 4 weeks later a Notice, of debt recovery. I've sent another email to their complaints section, and awaiting the outcome. There is NO telephone number that you can call to speak to anyone!
