The tours highlight an amazing cross…

The tours highlight an amazing cross section of Hong Kong. However, many stops, ie: Mo Man Temple are not clearly marked. The wait lines to catch a bus are very long, resulting in missing part of your day touring. The night tour is not worth paying the extra for. Hop on the 1855 departure instead of the 1900 night tour. Same route, same commentary - just 5 minutes earlier.
I have used Big Bus in many other cities and have always enjoyed the tours. I found Hong Kong to be a bit more disorganized than in other cities.

Big Bus Hong Kong Tour Review

The Big Bus experience is an EXCELLENT way to explore a city and to easily gain knowledge about it. I would take the big bus anywhere I go.
However there was one major issue:
There needs to be better organization at the Stanley bus stop. Too many people at the end of the day, and there was no one to regulate how many people get on the bus or to communicate how many more buses will be coming. The consequence was a very unpleasant experience as people kept trying to claim a seat for their own at the expense of others.

Very disappointing!

No sales tickets at temple street stop. Rude bus driver wouldn’t let me on and told me to buy tickets at 7 eleven. 7 eleven behind Silka Seaview hotel doesn’t sell tickets. When I told him that he shouted at me and told me he didn’t know which 7 eleven, and drive off. Seemed more interested in his phone than in the passengers. It was a complete waste of a day as I only had 2 days in Hong Kong. The next day I waited almost an hour for the bus to arrive before I could start the tours that day. Out of a 48 hr ticket I bought, I only managed to use 6 hrs of it! Very disappointing as I had hoped to see more of Hong Kong! Your Kowloon staff need training as well as being able to direct people to star ferry from the bus stop. Telling us it’s just behind the next building had us running around not knowing where to go to catch the star ferry.

Crowded buses 90% of the times

Crowded buses 90% of the times, and stuck in heavy traffic. Only able to convert the e-ticket into the different tickets needed in a couple locations. The tram took more than 3 hours of waiting in line to go up and down, with no alert that the city viewing was not possible due to the clouds. When I finnaly got to the pier the boat tour wasn't available, so I ended up spending more for nothing.

Was a good experience although without a mobile phone with roaming it would have been difficult to track when the bus will arrive. We found the App unreliable for the location so missed two buses.

Onboard the audio commentary was good however it should really line up with the stops (sometimes it didn't) or perhaps when certain stops are reached an announcement onboard over the speakers should be said so we knew to get off at the stop we were looking for.

All in all an ok experience.

Not that good an experience

We were in Hong Kong on a Saturday and whilst we expected it to be busy we did not expect to spend most of the day on the bus stuck in traffic because of roadworks. The driver allowed over 25 people standing when it clearly stated NO standing passengers allowed
It did not help that he had a shouting match with another member of staff before we left our pick up point at the ferry terminal

Big Bus Hong Kong

On the whole very good experience. A little disappointed on a trip from central to Stanley. The driver stopped very very briefly at the designated stop in Repulse Bay. There were some passengers trying to cross the road to get to the bus. They tee wearing the big bus yellow macs (raining) they waved there arms and shouted but the driver completely ignored them and drove away leaving them behind. This unfortunately really affected my opinion of the Big Bus service in Hong Kong.

Apart from this we had no problems and would chose Big Bus in another city in future. Going to a Rome in October so will probably use the service there.

The Big Bus was great

The Big Bus was great. Was pouring out and they supplied us with rain coats which was awesome! We have taken them many times in different countries. For Hong Kong was a bit disappointed in the green line tour as found there was so much of just music and not enough commentary. The red and blue were great!
