2 great tour routes around Vienna
2 great tour routes which took in everything we wanted to see around Vienna. I wish we had had the time to do the walking tour too - so much to see in the Old Town that is not accessible by bus and I'm sure the walking tour would have been great too!

Tour made our break
Was surprised that the busses were so on time and able to rely on one being where it should be on time. The tour was great too.

Narration on bus very limited
Narration on bus very limited. There was plenty of time between stops where we could have been hearing more about Vienna. Basically they piped in classical music for majority of time.
I would not recommend this bus tour. It was mediocre at best. If I wanted to just hear classical music I could have downloaded on my phone and just listened. I wanted to learn more about Vienna.

The only issue I had was Lake Tour
The only issue I had was Lake Tour. I arrived at stop 16 10'_minutes to 11 waited 30 minutes no agent, got in the next bus to 1 only to be informed that I should have gone down the show to commence as that stop has no agents on Sunday. Messed up my timing for the reminder of the day, give all information at the beginning

A very pleasant surprise
I booked a couple of tickets as a ‘just in case’ for our Vienna winter break. But actually the Big Bus tours turned out to be the stars of the show. They were great.
There is genuinely no better way to get a grasp on the general layout of the place, and informative commentary keeps your interest. The red route is better, but you get the blue route anyway, so use it.
We also did an evening tour with live commentary from a very entertaining guy called Charles. He deserves a mention because he was great fun.
I’m so impressed with my first trip with Big Bus, they are excellent value for money, and much better than you’d expect.

Fine Tour
A recommendable tour, however the storytelling wasn't always in sync with the actual places to be seen through the windows. The plan on the map wasn't easy to follow and had some gaps.

* Using wifi meant you had ability to track and publish what we were doing with this - made us not use the wifi.

Practical start to visit a city.
As an off season visitor there were no hitches! Good day tours and night tour...and on time with help at most stops. I often use Big Bus tours.

We were satisfied with everything except that we purchased a 3 day pass in Vienna based on being told it included a river cruise only to find out it wasn’t running during the time we were there. Otherwise it was a repeat.

It was a great experience and we saw an overview of the Vienna and then we selected where we wanted to visit. Getting on and off in the cold weather made it easy to see many things we might have missed.
The bus was clean, heated and the audio system worked perfectly

We have got 2 days to see Vienna. Booked Big Bus tour for 2 days.
We used only Red line out of two available. It was nicely planned route. It gave us good good prospective of the city.
No need to use any other transportation.
