Very insightful commentaries
Very insightful commentaries. There is actually a Vienna & Budapest (2 cities) ticket that you can buy to save money. But we werent aware of it earlier. So bought 2 tickets separately.
You can also opt for an e-ticket to be sent to your mobile phone. Very convenient.
Very clean buses.
My only complaint is the headphone. It falls off all the time.

Book online before you leave home
Day tours were good and frequent. I used both red and blue routes. Maps and audio guides were very useful. I would definitely use Big Bus again although night tour was a disappointment. Lots of information from very knowledgable guide but difficult to make out what he was talking about in the dark and with steamed up windows! Good value for money if booked online..more expensive if paid for in Vienna.

Packed buses
Packed buses, with empty ones just sitting idle. Was turned away from a bus and had to wait for an additional 15 minutes for the next one. Wish that empty bus would have been put in service. Employees not volunteering information, either. Just a colossal waste of money.

Excellent price for an excellent service. Very good commentary about the various sights, landmarks and history. You can also just use these to get from point to another. Great value for the many options available including walking tours, night tours and river cruises. Buses are on time, pleasant drivers and sales staff. Well worth it to see and learn about the city.

Big improvement with new update
Big improvement with new update of the app. It’s nice to be able to see where all the busses are on your phone and somewhat predict when it will arrive at your stop. To make it even better, each stop should have an estimated time of arrival. That would make it perfect.
All the buses were clean. Drivers were courteous. The audio was very clear and understandable. The best Big Bus tour I have been on.
It would be nice if they had a night hop on hop off tour for the Christmarkets in Vienna. There are several Christmas markets in the area that would be great to check out at night.
Other than that, this was a truly enjoyable experience!!!!

Exceeded expectations - great way to see Vienna
Great bus tour. We bought the 3 day deluxe ticket and it was so worth the money. We had 3 days of transport, different views of Vienna and historical insight. The night tour was great entertainment with Charles, our guide, providing fantastic commentary around the amazing city. The boat tour was also included in our ticket and exceeded expectations with warm punch and a brass band playing as we sailed up the Danube. Would highly recommend.

Disappointed
We were quite disappointed with our tour of the red route. We have only been on tours in UK where there was commentary from a guide or driver. I appreciate there are many foreign visitors from many countries but at no point were we told by the ticket seller or driver that there were free earphones. We only saw 2 people on our deck with them and assumed they were their own. It was only after we had got off the first bus and back on another that my husband saw them as he approached the driver to ask.
When we got on the second bus, the only seati ng was downstairs, although we now had commentary, we were limited as to what we could see. We felt we had wasted our money.

An excellent way of becoming acquainted with Vienna
Busses were pretty frequent and stopped at all the important places to see. The commentary was interesting and informative. The night tour was enjoyable with a guide who gave further information about Vienna and Austria with plenty of humour thrown in. Likewise the walking tour and guide were well worth braving the cold for.

Fantastic experience but with room for improvement
Fantastic service and experience! The app was really useful as well!
The 6 pm night tour needs improvement though. The live commentary was only on the upper-deck of the bus and since we were on the lower one, we didn’t enjoy it at all. In fact, we were quite frustrated since no one mentioned this before the tour began.

Great experience - good quality headphones, wish all cities would have the same! Violetta and her male colleague were extremely helpful and shared more insights and tips about where to go and what to look out for.
