We used Blackstone Solicitors recently for the first time. We dealt mainly with two staff and they were both incredibly professional but also very approachable. What really struck us was how proactive they were. We received responses to emails incredibly quickly and we were also able to make contact easily via phonecalls. Although the time from purchasing the property to completing was 7 months, Blackstone stayed in contact with me the whole time and were informative with each conversation. We decided that it was time for us to make our Will, and take advantage of the Will aid scheme. Contacted Will Aid and they directed us to the nearest participating solicitor, Blackstone.
Contact was made with Amy, who was very helpful and provided us with a meeting date at their office in Hale.
Today we attended our appointment, after being questioned by the receptionist, she contacted Amy?
Who then decided she was too busy and had no one else available to see us “ We have people off sick”” Can you come back?”
We had both taken time off to attend this meeting, and at no point did we have any apology.
Maybe Will Aid applicants are held as lower priority?
At no point was any communication regarding cancellation or alternative arrangements made.
Very shabby outfit, and disappointing. Made to feel that we didn’t matter.
