Bus never showed up

Bus never showed up, was left stranded at Sportsworld station in Kitchener. This was a huge issue as I had a connecting bus in Toronto. This company doesn’t have a phone, and their website is also very unprofessional. Let me see how I can get my refund. Luckily Onex was able to come and I used them to get to Toronto. Their website bus tracker does not work, so it was impossible to get any communication from them

The bus didn't actually show up.

My mother waited for this bus in London ON to take her to Pearson Airport. The bus didn't actually show up. Luckily, she was able to catch a Onex bus but no one should rely on Book-a-Ride. Their refund policy says no refund unless they are over 4 hours late. Obviously, reliability is not their aspiration.

Scammers

Was supposed to take the bus at 1:05pm today Oct 6 at the toronto airport. Waited there since 12:30 pm until 3pm at Terminal 1, ground floor, P5 as it is stated on the e-ticket. The bus NEVER showed up. The phone number provided doesn't work...you get a recorded VM saying that due to tech issues they can't redirect the call. Paid a round trip to Ottawa...$138. This is a shame, so unprofessional...feel terrible for not having read for the reviews beforehand. This is a scam company....be aware and stay far away...and oh the link to track the bus too doesn't work. Would have given minus ten stars if I could.

I will give them "0" if I can

I will give them "0" if I can. The bus didn't show up. The phone number provided on the website doesn't work. Tracking tool for the bus on their website doesn't work. Help chart was "very helpful" they provided me the same link for tracking the bus I tried before contacting them and when I reply that it doesn't work the support person in the chart"Lia" just disappear..... To make it worse the ride was to Toronto Airport and my son was left with 2 choices: miss the flight or take uber for $290. Please do not waist your money. Do not use this service

Bus ride from hell

I will be very frank and say that I’m still in the bus but it’s been so godawful I can’t not leave a review. This bus ride experience was one from hell. There was no AC, in a bus packed to the brim with people in the middle of essentially a heat wave in the fall. The bus driver was cranky and aggressive to passengers including calling someone who just wanted to get some air during one of the stops “an effing idiot” with more colorful language. When we stopped at Kingston, which was for like 30 mins, the driver left the door closed when he stepped out, basically holding us hostage in a hellishly hot bus, and then yelling at everyone when we asked if the AC could be turned off. To make matters worse, the arrival time to Toronto es delayed by over an hour - or as I think of it, another hour in a bus full people where we’re all sweating and dehydrated listening to the cranky driver’s terrible playlist.

Less than 1 star!!

Less than 1 star!!! Total scammers. Within an hour of booking I needed to cancel. They refused and offered a voucher saying they do not refund tickets. I found several places on their website that indicated they do and despite my sending snapshots of their own website showing where they offer a full refund they have suddenly gone quiet. I should have been alerted to the fact they are a scam when the cost of the tickets was shown in Euro's and not CAD! Also all their positive reviews seem to be just one liners - probably got their own staff/family/friends to write them! Their insincere apologies to those genuine complaints seem to just be a copy and paste most of the time. I wonder if any of these customers ended up getting a refund?

Pros and Cons

Pros: the bus driver is friendly and the bus is clean.
Cons: the bus was more than 15 minutes late and there was no signage as to the pickup spot. The ticket indicates there is wifi on the bus but there is not.
Overall: it is a cost effective method of travelling but definitely has the ability to be better.

It is a scam company

It is a scam company, I booked an online ticket through their website from toronto to windsor and i went on time to the bus stop and there was no buses there and their customer service offered me a voucher of the same price to travel again with them , how would i use this voucher of non exist buses. They are a huge scam, don't waste your money and your time by booking on their website

One of the worst if not even the worst…

One of the worst if not even the worst transportation service I have ever seen in Ontario, waited for the bus for two hours, the bus didnt come, no phone number to call, chat didnt do anything about it other than offer me a voucher for the ticket money back, I missed a funeral because of them and they stopped responding, this just unacceptable.

Actually had a really great experience

Actually had a really great experience, was nervous because I’m sure your reading a million reviews like me and reading all the bad ones really scared me but got off the bus swiftly easily and the driver was nice he came earlier waited for everyone to arrive then took off. Was pleasantly surprised. Didn’t smell I mean bathroom does stink but other than that it was perfect fine. Had a really good time easy communicate and the best part I saw when and where my bus was. Easily and effectively. Maybe before it was bad but it’s new and updated

a good service, but you have to make sure you know where the pick up is and to double check

they are reliable, but a new service and do not have signs up where pick up is, so make sure you know exactly where to go for a pick up. And contact them ahead of time to confirm. They do have a webpage with images of the pickups, but it can be vague, so good to double check. I had a missed bus but they were good enough to refund my ticket so that was very fair.

Don't waste your money and mental health by choosing Book-A-Ride.
The Website Bus Tracker is broken, I am talking about Chrome, Firefox, and Safari, and none of them works.

The Customer Service is absolutely slow in response, it could even take up to 1 hour to respond,

The bus didnt come and no refund

The bus never came, we got not information from bookaride. The support first said they acknowledged the issue but when asking for a refund they finally pretend the trip had been successful. Don't use this company.

My bus was over 2 hours late with no updates whatsoever

I really wasn’t even sure the bus would show up at all after a little bit. At first, I got an email and text saying it was delayed by 15 minutes - this would be totally fine, and I appreciated the communication. But it didn’t show up after 15 minutes, and as I continued waiting I didn’t receive any further updates. I tried getting in contact with customer support and they were unable to give an updated estimate on when the bus would arrive, and then they disappeared. Thé bus tracker on thé website doesn’t work, and there is no phone number to call either.

I ended up waiting over 2 hours for this bus, and when it arrived it wasn’t even branded or anything that would let me know it was the correct one, just an unmarked yellow-ish bus (but the driver confirmed it was the correct one). I had to sit there the whole time watching for it, because I had no way to know if/when it would show up. I was lucky that I wasn’t catching a flight or anything, because this mess would’ve made me miss it.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. The communication is abysmal, buses don’t seem to run on any legitimate schedule, and you’ll only get a refund if your bus is 4+ hours late and you choose NOT to take it. Splash out a little more money and take megabus.
