We had been looked after by Albert in a previous Opticians. When we found out that Albert had moved to Boots, we straight away knew that Boots would be our new Opticians.
I love how honest Albert is, in particular with the way our Glasses look.
We as a family of four now all go to see him for our tests and glasses.
Albert has now become one of ours friends whom we love to go and see.
On our most recent visit to the Lincoln branch, Albert helped me choose some safety glasses for work, some designer sunglasses and some daily glasses.
I’ve always struggled choosing glasses, I’ve always felt too old or too frumpy, but not now with Alberts help. He’s young and trendy and always takes the stress out of choosing. We now enjoy choosing new glasses.
Albert is a genuinely nice, helpful young man.
Thank you very much & we’ll all see you soon

Horrendous attitude and policies

I arrived with my daughter 11 minutes late for our appointment as we’d been stuck in traffic in town. I apologised for lateness and was told by the receptionist “You’re more than 10 minutes late so we can’t see you today. I don’t make the rules”. I spoke to the assistant manager (they told me he was the manager - I’ve only found out since this isn’t the case) and he said “10 minutes is the cut off. If it’s 11 minutes late we can’t see you”. The fact my little girl has been having headaches etc made absolutely no difference to them. Formal complaint made. (Specsavers Castle Boulevard, Nottingham)

The eye test went ok the optician was…

The eye test went ok the optician was really nice and efficient but I was told I had dry eyes ( something they test for) I asked if I needed a prescription and was told they had eye drops for dry eyes. Before I bought the drops o asked if boots made their own brand but the assistant told me she didn’t know all they had was hycosan at the opticians so I bought one and then was told they did another at a reduced price so I had two. I got home to find it wasn’t a bottle to squeeze but it had a press button on the top to dispense the drops. Which I found difficult as I have artheritis in both hands so the only way I could press the button was to hold it in one hand and press the button with the other but couldn’t put the drop into my eye without poking myself in the eye. So for me the drops were not able to be used I went back and complained and was told they would take the unopened bottle back but not the opened one I understand they can’t sell that one again however the staff should have told me about the way the bottle worked and I would not have bought them , the customer should have have the information in order to buy the correct product I wasn’t given this choice I feel all the staff were interested in was selling the product. A manager phoned this morning and tried to shift the blame to me saying I should have told them about the problem with my hands, but why would I have done that. I was buying eye drops expecting a squeeze bottle. I still can’t have my money back but I have asked the manager to raise it as a complaint.

The staff are very friendly and…

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.
Everything was explained in detail when choosing glasses and also signing up to the Contact Lens Scheme
Highly recommend a visit and you will not be disappointed
The whole team including Libby and Corey are an asset to the store.
No pressure whatsoever and came away extremely happy with my new glasses.

I recently visited my local Boots…

I recently visited my local Boots Opticians for an eye test and new frames, and the experience was outstanding. The store was clean, organised, and welcoming, making the whole visit really pleasant.
A big highlight was the excellent service from both Optical Consultant Charlotte and Optician Abbie. Charlotte was fantastic ,friendly, patient, and super helpful. She took time to understand my needs, suggested frames that suited my face shape and lifestyle, and gave clear advice on lens options and coatings without any hard sell.
Abbie was equally brilliant during the eye test and final fitting. She was professional, thorough, and explained everything clearly, making sure my prescription was spot on and the glasses felt comfortable. Both Charlotte and Abbie worked really well together, and their combined expertise made choosing and getting my new glasses a smooth and enjoyable process.
I left with a great pair of glasses I’m very happy with, at a good price thanks to the offers available.
Highly recommend Boots Opticians and a special thanks to Charlotte and Abbie for their outstanding, personal service. I’ll definitely be returning!

I was seen by Hamel for my eye test at…

I was seen by Hamel for my eye test at Fosse Park today and was very impressed yet again for his kindness, knowledge and patience.
I was concerned about a lump that was under my eye and he put my mind at rest and referred me to the eye clinic.
I was also seen by Alisha who helped me with my new glasses. She was very informative and guided me with suitably. She was very professional and pleasant.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my eye examinations. Thank you team.. great job👏

Super overall experience

Booking an appointment is super easy, same day appointment, booking in guy was super helpful, seen bang on time by a lovely young lady (wasn’t sure of name sorry!) and then seen by by a lovely young gent called Harvey. Couldn’t be more pleasant if they tried. I did have a free eye test (employer paid) at Specsavers but cancelled as they were awful before I’d even got there. I’d rather pay Boots out of my own pocket for the eye test for the service I received. Many thanks and keep up the good professional work and customer service! See you next time.

Amazing Staff and Experience

My visit was for my first up-to-date eye check and contact lens check. I had started the day off with the mistake of only booking the contact lens check online AND running 5 minutes late, but luckily the staff and my optician Ammara were so kind and helped get me sorted so there was no wasted trip. The eye test and lens check were very quick, despite me asking Ammara to go back and forth between the lenses a few times just to be certain (sorry!), but she remained so sweet, pleasant and patient throughout. She guided me to start a routine due to my regularly dry eyes and ever since I've noticed an improvement in my dry eyes. There was also a very kind man who briefly helped with my eye scan, but I do apologise as I wasn't able to catch his name. He was very friendly and upbeat.

Afterwards, John helped me find a new pair of prescription sunglasses. I'm very particular with glasses and often struggle to find a style that I like to wear. Despite this, he was very knowledgeable. He took a couple glances at me and figured out which sort of nose bridge I needed to get the sunglasses to sit where they could while providing maximum protection around my eyes. Then, he asked which styles and colours I typically like. He was able to find me a new pair that I will really enjoy wearing and also gave me some really useful information and tips of what I can do if I lose them, as I lost my last pair on holiday. As I'm rather unfamiliar with the different types of lenses, tints and various customisations glasses and sunglasses have to offer, John kindly and patiently took the time to explain the differences to me and I could not be more grateful as I never knew what an impact polarising lenses would make! I'm very excited for the sun to come back out so I can wear them.

I had an amazing experience 2 years ago getting my eye test and contact lenses at boots opticians and yet again this year during my check up, so thank you to all the staff at Warrington Golden Square.

Damaged glasses

My husband Malcolm went into the Newton Abbot store this morning with his damaged pair of glasses.
He saw the lovely June, who has fixed them for him.
We cannot fault the staff and their customer service. It's the best out of all the branches in our area.
