Having a Truly shocking time with Boots Opticians in West Bridgford, Nottingham. Having chosen frames, ordered and paid for them together with the prescription lenses. Received a call a week later saying frame no longer available. As I didn't like other frames I asked for a refund to be told the Manger was on holiday and I would have to wait until she returned a week later ! No one else can process a refund, no other branch can help and Head Office Customer Service told me to send an email to which there has been no reply. I'm still waiting, very much out of pocket and very unhappy about it.

Had my routine Eye test and Contact Lens Eye test. As always, I opted for the detailed scan.
The optomatrist was extremely thorough and explained in detail the results.
I have on occasion tried other Opticians, in my experience none come close to the service provided by Boots in Newbury.

WGC branch - fabulous service.
Appointment yesterday, needed Cataract referral and I was able to book the initial consultation with the provider the same day. Referral must have been done by Boots immediately. So impressed.
Big shout out to staff, especially Remi and Charlie!

Just had a frustrating conversation with customer service re my very late order. I ordered prescription sun glasses on 18th August to be collected on 3rd September. I received a phone call saying order is delayed but would be ready for collection on 10th. I have just come out of that lengthly appointment after being told the order was not in. No phone call prior. I was then told the sunglasses wouldn’t be ready until 16th which is useless to me as they were purchased particularly for a trip. The person I spoke to (who was not aware of the change of collection date) said he would chase the manufacturer. As I am desperate for them now I thought a quick call to customer service to get them to chase my order as well and let me know the outcome would be sensible but I was met with a brick wall and was told they couldn’t help me it was not in their remit to chase the order and the glasses wouldn’t arrive until it was too late for my trip.
Boots normal first class service is sadly lacking. Come on Boots not unreasonable for you to chase my late order and try to get them for me. I did mention at the time of purchase that I needed them for a particular date and was told this would not be a problem. I paid my 50% deposit on time. You should keep your end of the deal and get them for me

We had a really positive experience at Boots Opticians Milton Keynes Crown Walk.
A special thank you to Cresia and Priya, who were both incredibly patient, helpful and professional throughout our visit. They took the time to answer all our questions about different glasses and lenses, frame options, prices and payment options, and explained everything clearly without making us feel rushed.
They were very attentive and genuinely cared about helping us find the right options. They also kindly adjusted an existing pair of glasses to make sure they fitted properly and comfortably. It was a small thing, but the care and attention really stood out.
I would also like to thank the optometrist who carried out one of the eye examinations. He was extremely patient, encouraging and supportive, and made the whole experience comfortable and reassuring.
Overall, we felt very well looked after. The team were friendly, knowledgeable and professional, and the level of care was excellent.
Thank you again to Cresia, Priya and the optometrist who looked after us. You are a real credit to the Boots Opticians team. Highly recommended!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the customer service I received from Boots Opticians on Oxford Street, London.
On 25 June I booked an eye test appointment and was offered an extended test for an additional charge. I was also offered a new pair of glasses and decided to order a second pair later as I was uncertain about the 2view Boots glasses. The glasses were ready for collection after several days. I waited for 10 days before ordering a second pair but instead of 2view I requested reading glasses. I wanted to use my Boots frame from the previous year as I was not satisfied with the new frames.
Two weeks later I received an email informing me of a problem. I was not expecting the Boots technician to destroy my own frames and claim they were damaged during transport. This was later corrected to say he had snapped both sides of the frame while fitting the lenses. I was then asked to return to the store to choose frames I did not like in the first place. No one mentioned what would happen to the money I spent on the glasses that were damaged by Boots. The glasses cost approximately £175 at Boots.
I contacted the Customer Service department nine times from 13 August including the manager. I received several emails indicating that someone would contact me but so far no one from Boots has attempted to address the issue.

First making an appt- useless girl who couldn’t help with the repair of two pairs of expensive glasses (bought there) only with anything easy that did not require any thinking or conversation skills.
Made an appt for next day.
Then was told next day ‘you are more than 7 mins late can’t see you’- made an appt for next day.
Get there and told ‘oh it’s tomorrow’ yeah - but on the phone you told me the next day?!?
It is your mistake?
So I said forget it - and walked away- only to get a derogatory ‘thank youuuu’ from a 60 something old woman, who thought she was still 20.
I said ‘do you want me to come back’ - she then showed her true self and shut up - why are people like this.
I have been a long term (20 yr plus) customer of Boots opticians - spent £1000s - but will never go there again. They were rude, took no responsibility for their mistakes and they clearly employ either adolescents - or pensioners who think they’re adolescents-
I’d advise everyone to go elsewhere!! If I could put a minus score I would.
NEVER GO TO BOOTS in Brighton !

Every time I go they blow me away with their service. In the past, Peter has been most helpful, but he is no longer there, but Kieron did a fantastic job with my glasses after I’d sat on them. He mended them, cleaned and tightened the screws for me. They are a fantastic Team. Su.

The staff were wonderful, all very polite, thourough and helpful but the pricing of the glasses is ridiculous. The frames are reasonably priced, however if you are unfortunate enough to need varifocals, extra cost...how well you want to see is dependent on how much you are willing to pay. Again, if you have a strong prescription and you require your lenses to be thinned so you do not look like you have double glazing on your face, extra cost, your comfort is dependent on how much you can pay. A pair of glasses that started off at £85 for the frames, ended up costing me £350 (after a 20% discount) for the bare minimum of comfort and field of vision on my varifocals. I did not have the ability to add my usual tints as this would have required the equivalent funds to taking out a mortgage! Honestly do not know how they can get away with these ridiculous prices!

So today, and it is far from the first time in this branch of Boots Opticians, I was looked after by Darshna Wadher who was ably assisted by Jude.
She dealt with some complex issues that revolve around dangerous radiotherapy I had as a baby 70 years ago, a head injury I had a couple of years back that impacted on an eye to a worrying degree, a recent cataract operation, a blink issue that was preventing her from checking eye-pressure which is pretty unusual and can flag up something serious, a slowness - prior to today - by the NHS to get me back in for checks which she can't do, and sorting out a new and suitable prescription for glasses in the meantime. Somehow she managed all of this including getting off an email to the NHS that was so effective that I received a call a couple of hours later from a hospital to get me in for those checks. None of this cost me a penny nor will it.
Jude, in the meantime, ran some tests and had a good line in guys' patter which is always appreciated in environments that are normally are dominated by the ladies (no offence meant!)
We rightly tend to be critical of a lot of UK healthcare but in all fairness a service like this, and people like Darshna and Jude, can't be bought. It's not just their competence but their warmth and ability to make the complexities they deal with easy-to-understand for lesser humans. They're priceless. Moreover it is of course a demonstration of how highly-trained staff in High Street companies like Boots can work effectively with the state to provide care which we all need and that's second to none.
Thanks, guys.

I was made welcome and the appointment was very professional and very friendly. I was put at ease and everything was explained to me. I have glaucoma and was a bit worried about the test. I needn’t have been. It was great. The machines they have are up to date and I have every confidence that my new prescription will be the right one. The frames were easy to pick. The offer is brilliant. I have spoken to many people praising Boots and I know some will make it there for their next test.

As a long-term patron of Boots Bridgwater, I have historically enjoyed excellent service, but my recent visit regarding support for my ongoing treatment was unsatisfactory. Upon arriving, I observed a staff member who appeared distracted by her mobile device rather than focusing on customer service. When I requested assistance, she seemed uninterested and declined to help, stating that she could not verify the lens strength because my glasses were not purchased at that location, further claiming that it would be illegal to do so. When I explained that these were the only glasses I could see through following cataract surgery within the last 24 hours and that I needed ready readers for the next six weeks, the interaction became hostile; the staff member spoke to me disrespectfully, suggested that I should communicate more clearly, and accused me of being rude because I challenged her behaviour.
Boots Bridgwater, I regret to inform you that I will no longer be utilising your optician services.
While I understand there are two sides to every story, I did not expect such unprofessional behavior.
