The car would not start. We rely on the car so were frustrated about this (to put it mildly). I rang cover my breakdown, they gave me a time window to expect their mechanic. He arrived within that time window. Started the car, explained why it would not start, and showed me what to do if it happens again. Brilliant!

I have been with Breakdowncover for a couple of years, but have not had the need to call them out. They are efficient with their response to emails and reminders.

Dont go near them as you will be left frustrated and will do all the running around trying to sort it out. You would be better off will no breakdown cover at all.Terrible exprience and hope no one ever goes through it.

My unwanted breakdown came with no warning on a Saturday evening, luckily for me) in a hotel car park in Kilkenny last Autumn. Following my call to Breakdowncover a very pleasant local representative turned up to rescue me. My battery was totally dead but the mechanic was not convinced the problem was a simple matter of charging the battery and off I would go. He did tell me that it might be more serious and could be an alternator problem. However, when battery was charged I set off following a local friend to her house, normally about 20 minutes away. He gave me his direct phone number in case the problem was more serious and I needed more help that evening. All seemed well at first but then it ended up that I had to nurse my car all the way back to her house - somehow I made it safely! At this stage the car was totally dead! On Monday morning I made another call to Breakdown cover who arranged with the same representative to take my car back to the garage to assess (and then fix) the alternator problem so that I could return safely to Dublin a couple of days later. I was very relieved to be so well looked after by Breakdown cover and happily recommend their service. As most of driving is with only a dog passenger it was reassuring to know that help is at hand when most needed in a pleasant and helpful manner.

Broke down at Knutsford services. Recovery came within the the our, couldn't repair so took us home, Driver was very friendly, and also good humoured and entertaining.

Just renewed my policy after checking prices and reviews of other company`s.Great renewal price considering the car is a year older and got a discount for renewal. Never had to call them out for a breakdown so can`t comment on that. Price wise and contact with helpful staff I am most impressed.

What can I say, great website, easy to navigate around. Just renewed policy very easy online, price has gone down too. Deep intake of breath! Haven't had to call any one out to a recovery, but I can't see makeing a phone call difficult all I have to do is give my policy number and location and hopefully that's it. Would recommend.
