A professional qualified and experienced nanny offering consultancy and advice to parents of newborn babies and children. The advice and support is non judgmental, easy, straight forward, supportive and practical. After a lifetime of working in a career with babies and children I have a wealth of experience to share. An additional 3 years experience working in a special care baby unit with sick and premature babies and 21 years supporting parents overnight as a night nanny. This experience has enabled me to condence my knowledge and share it with parents who may have become parents for the first time. The advice, support and practical help in most cases takes place in the parents home. If the parents are overseas the help can be shared in an online meeting or phone call. Advice is very much a personal approach to the individual child and the uniqueness of that family life. Ethnicity and cultural backgrounds are always taken consideration as many families live overseas and parents come from diverse backgrounds. Above all I respond well to communication and support each family with the same enthusiasm with my job today as I did the first day I became a trained nursery nurse.

Brenda's help was invaluable when it came to sleep training my four month old son. He is quite a heavy boy and I had resorted to rocking him up and down in the dark with music and a dummy at every nap and bedtime, with limited success. Naps were 30 minutes long and he was waking up every 45 mins from 2/3am. My back was killing me and I was in a permanent state of exhaustion.
Luckily Brenda swooped in and sorted us both out within 3 nights (she had to train me too!). Her methods are slightly old school (no holistic sleep training here) and there is a level of crying that you will not avoid, but mostly only the first night. I would say if you can't stomach it, perhaps this is not the right method for you, but my son is so much happier for it. He now sleeps through the night and he loves his bedtimes and sleeping in his own room. He is also a much easier baby during the day.
Brenda was always very sweet with him and the few nights she stayed over I'd come down in the morning to find him beaming at her.
I feel like Brenda has given us both the gift of sleep and could not recommend her more.

Brenda is nothing short of exceptional. As new parents, the first months with our baby were some of the most challenging we have ever faced, from sleep difficulties to breastfeeding struggles and everything in between. Brenda brought a rare combination of traditional wisdom, practical strategies, and clear, direct guidance that cut through the noise and gave us confidence when we needed it most.
Although I wasn’t the one in direct contact with her day to day, I saw the difference her support made for my partner, and through that, for our whole family. She didn’t just provide advice, she gave us reassurance, structure, and the tools to get through what could have otherwise been overwhelming.
Her calm, professional approach, combined with her genuine care and deep expertise, made all the difference in helping us navigate the first year of parenthood. I cannot recommend Brenda highly enough to any parents seeking knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly effective support. She is a remarkable consultant, and we will always be grateful for the role she played in our journey.
And yes, all the rumours are true. Brenda has worked with some very high profile families, including a former UK Prime Minister, and it is easy to see why. Her reputation is built on real results and genuine care, and our experience only confirms it.
Thank you Brenda!!!

Brenda has been an incredible support to us, her guidance and advice has helped us immensely with the routine and sleep of our 3 month old. She has decades of experience and can anticipate every situation. Don’t think twice and reach out to Brenda for help!

Brenda was fantastic and helped our baby girl find a consistent schedule that worked well for us and got her to sleep through the night. She had decades of experience and portrays that experience in a stern but helpful way - you must trust the process, it works! She gave us the comfort that ‘we’ are the boss… not the baby. Our baby quickly caught onto the schedule, stopped cluster feeding and took in larger amounts at the allotted feed slots. This has helped her gain weight and fight the bottle less. She’s 3.5months old and now sleeps 7-7, after dropping the dream feed! Thank you Brenda - well worth the £££!!

We contacted Brenda when our 3.5-month old daughter started waking up every 30 mins - 1 hour in the night and we’d entered into some bad habits, including needing to rock her or feed her to sleep and running to her during the night at any noise. We had no routine (even though we’d tried with some online) and life was very chaotic and sleep deprived! Brenda came to visit and gave us a routine to follow and, crucially, showed and told us how to make it successful.
For the midday nap, she showed us how to put her down and how to get her to self settle - and for the first time ever, that night she went to sleep by herself in her cot (after a tough 45 mins of crying), and after only a couple of wakes for a few minutes throughout the night, slept through to 7am. After that first night, it was smooth sailing. She went down by herself with very few tears for every nap and has generally slept from 7-7 ever since with the odd wake up here and there.
I can’t believe what a difference it has made to our lives - we have predictability and certainty in the day and our baby is so much happier. She smiles all day and rarely cries. She used to cry on walks or in the car and she now loves both and puts herself to sleep when she is tired without complaint.
Brenda was on hand to answer any questions in the first few weeks and was always extremely responsive. We knew what we were doing wrong but it was integral having Brenda to help us execute sleep training, which we’d tried to do ourselves and failed!
As others have said, Brenda was firm and direct. She believes in her methods, and how you have to teach your baby that tears will not lead to you rushing to them. This is not for everyone. I had always told myself I wouldn’t sleep train, and there have been some really really hard moments, but I’m a complete convert to the approach. We’re all much happier and our baby cries 90% less than before and thrives on the predictability of a routine and the ability to fall asleep by herself.

Hiring Brenda as a sleep trainer was the best decision we made. Our 18 month old daughter was going through a sleep regression, specifically waking up multiple times at night. We tried many things ourselves but nothing seemed to work. We finally hired Brenda and within a few days, our daughter was back to sleeping through the night. Brenda's approach is strict but she delivers results if you follow what she says to a tee.
Our daughter is currently sleeping 12 hours straight through the night and we could not be more thankful to Brenda. We would highly recommend her for any sleep training needs.

We were desperate when we called Brenda with a 5 month old baby waking every 1 to 2 hours. Brenda helped us to get back into control with a straight forward routine and troubleshooting, she helped cut through the conflicting information online, and kept us accountable which was crucial as our baby was more resistant than most! I’d recommend Brenda to all of my friends for "good" sleepers and "bad" sleepers alike because Brenda has a lot to teach and recommend starting around 8-10 weeks.

Brenda was excellent with our 2 year old son. Her approach is strict but we quickly learnt that was necessary in order to get the lasting results we have. She was responsive and supportive at all hours of the day or night. Within a week, he was sleeping straight through. Would highly recommend.

We hired Brenda for both of our children (a boy and a girl, so we've seen that her magic works regardless of the child!) and she is worth every penny. Her style is strict but clear, and produces very predictable—and seemingly effortless—results. We had originally booked Brenda well ahead of time for her sleep training expertise with our first-born, but for various reasons ended up with her as our night nurse from birth. She was so effective at understanding his needs and patterns that he naturally established a sleep routine by 8 weeks, and was already sleeping 12 hours at night by week 11. Unfortunately for Brenda, she had worked herself out of the job before he was even due to start sleep training proper! Our experience with our daughter was no different, and she took to Brenda immediately, matching our son's development almost to the week. Brenda's style is not for everyone, but if you're looking for the best in the business, look no further.

Brenda is fantastic! She was instrumental in helping us with establishing a routine for our 5 month old. Our son’s daytime napping has improved drastically after her programme - from being a baby who would only nap on me, he learnt how to fall asleep independently at more less the same times during the day. Before Brenda’s programme our son would wake up few times a night which Brenda managed to transform into a peaceful long sleep from 8 until 6/7 am. Her method is centered around establishing a feeding and napping routine and allowing the baby to learn how to fall asleep without being fed/rocked to sleep. We feel it has been unfairly labelled by some as the „cry it out” method - that’s definitely too dramatic. While it does involve some crying, for our baby it generally meant crying for 10-15 min max before falling asleep at the beginning and now even less so. First few days of implementing her routine are tough but then it gets so much easier for everybody. We would highly recommend Brenda to any parents whose little ones are struggling with any napping/sleeping/feeding issues!

We are based in Adelaide, Australia with our 5 month old son. Brenda helped us remotely with your son’s day time routine and sleep. Within 2 nights he was sleeping through the night. She was very responsive and supportive at all hours of the day or night (especially important given the time difference). Worth every cent

Brenda certainly delivers results and routine! Within 2 days our 6 month old went from waking 3 times a night to sleeping 7-7.
Brenda’s method certainly isn’t for the faint hearted but if you want your child sleeping well, that’s exactly what she will get you! She also helped us with a good feeding pattern and confidence which helped as we entered weaning territory.

Brenda certainly got results, our baby went from not being able to sleep well at all to sleeping through the night after just one night of Brenda’s sleep training. It wasn’t perfect but it has been remarkably improved. We cannot fault Brenda on her results, however we found the process incredibly stressful and her approach / tone harsh and difficult at times. That said, we are pleased we did it and thank you Brenda for getting us our sleep again!

Brenda’s support has been invaluable to us. Brenda has helped us with both our daughters and within days of meeting her our day to day routine was transformed, for the better! We have two very happy girls who have consistently slept through the night from 3/4 months. It is such a comfort to know that with all her experience she always has a solution and if you follow her advice it will work out! Brenda has a fantastic way with children and although the advice might seem extreme at first she has children’s (and parents!!) best interests at the forefront of everything that she suggests. Thank you Brenda!

I couldn't recommend Brenda enough! She was such a huge help with my 2 year old and 6 month old.
We had been having problems with my 2 year old walking in the night and since the day she arrived after following her advice he stopped waking!
If we had any questions she was always available to help very quickly and left us feeling confident!
We have two children both sleeping through 🙂

Brenda gets the job done. Her methods are hardcore and may not be for everyone, but her plan worked for our 6 month old and we are enjoying him sleeping through the night and much better during the day now.

We have used Brenda twice now, both times she has really helped. It's not only the initial help, it's the on-going support that really makes a difference. Thank you, Brenda.

Brenda’s sleep training is life changing. Our 4 month old baby had been a terrible sleeper since birth. We were lucky if we could get a couple of hours from him a night. Brenda came along and within a few days our baby was sleeping for eleven hours uninterrupted. He now consistently sleeps through the night. Would highly recommend to anybody who is struggling with getting their baby sleep. Thank you Brenda.

Brenda has been wonderful and helped us getting our 21 months old daughter back on track. Following many changes (house, new sibling) our daughter started having a terrible sleep. Brenda spotted straight away what the issues were and put a routine together so that we could get our daughter to sleep through the night again. It worked very well! Should we ever need more help, we will get in touch with Brenda straight away.

Brenda has helped us helped us twice and her methods have really worked with our children. We first met Brenda when she helped us with our triplets in 2022. We recently had another baby and called on Brenda's expertise again. Our 3 month old baby is now sleeping 7pm - 7am. Brenda is very responsive and helpful with any issues encountered during the sleep training process. We would highly recommend Brenda! Thank you!
