An additional 3 years experience working in a special care baby unit with sick and premature babies and 21 years supporting parents overnight as a night nanny. We worked with Brenda for three weeks to sleep train our 7-month-old daughter. Her structured approach and practical tips helped establish a routine, and our daughter now sleeps through the night — which we’re grateful for.
However, the experience was emotionally challenging at times. Brenda’s communication style is very firm and, in our view, often lacked empathy. We felt judged rather than supported, especially during difficult moments like illness or travel.
If you’re looking for a strict, results-focused approach and can follow a routine rigidly, her method may work for you. But for us, the tone made the process more stressful than it needed to be. We’re glad it worked, but we wouldn’t recommend it to everyone.

Brenda was amazing. She took the time to understand our childs needs and our current parenting strategy. She developed a plan that worked for us and our child making tweaks that would help him sleep through the night. After 2 days our baby was sleeping through and has barely missed a night since!

We reached out to Brenda as Aris was waking up 5 or 6 times during the night at 8 months old. I was also feeding him to sleep for a lot of the night. I had reached a point where I couldn’t continue with the level of sleep deprivation. For the days, Brenda advised that Aris didn’t need a lot of sleep (the opposite of what I had been reading online). Her prescribed routine gave me the flexibility of doing one of the naps in the pram, and set out the meal times and milk quantities. Be warned- she uses the cry out method and is very harsh with her approach. It took Aris about 3 weeks to adjust which I found incredibly difficult as I did feel that it affected his mood- but it was worth it. He now sleeps 11 hours a night and naps are no longer a battle. We have structure to our day which make it easy for me to plan fun things to do around feeds and sleep! Getting Aris’ sleep under control has made my last few months of mat leave so fun and we have made special memories together. Thank you Brenda

After hitting a very rough patch with sleep when our baby was 6 months old, Brenda helped us get him to sleep through the night. Under her guidance, it took 3/4 days for him to start sleeping through the night up until recently!
He is now 2, and after 6 months of 5/5:30am wake-ups (which we thought we would have to just accept), he recently started waking up at night. We called Brenda again, and made some very small tweaks as she suggested - he stopped waking up at night screaming on Day 1, and after a couple of days he also started waking up at 6:30! Turns out, as he was growing older we had slowly adopted some habits that we thought were helping him sleep better, but were basically doing the opposite!
Our toddler is much happier when he sleeps well, the difference during the day is amazing. We are very pleased with her and would 100% recommend.

Brenda is one of a kind! We first met Brenda when my daughter was 5.5 months old to help with her sleep and she changed our lives overnight, we managed to get into a good sleep routine as well as a much needed schedule for the day too. Everything fell into place. Our daughter started to regress at 2.5 years old, so Brenda came back to visit again and helped us to get out of all the bad habits we had gotten into, again changed our lives overnight. Our daughter sleeps happily through the night which has subsequently improved her eating throughout the day too, it was also nice to have an updated day schedule appropriate for her age. She has answers for every issue (that always seem to work/make sense), this is clearly very much based on her experience of doing this so many years! We will definitely be asking Brenda to come back for the next baby that is due v soon!

After 5 other sleep consultants couldn’t help us we put all of our hopes in Brenda and she didn’t disappoint!
Her approach was clear and everything she said made a lot of sense, albeit not easy to digest, especially for an easily manipulated parent like myself. After 3 days Sophia was sleeping through the night, from 7.30pm to 6.00an, after 6 dreadful months of sleeping on the floor and countless nightly wake ups.

We contacted Brenda to help with our 2 and a 1/2 month old twin boys. My husband works abroad most days of the week and I was struggling on my own with no sleep routine and often getting less then 2 hours sleep per night. Brenda came to our home to meet the boys and within the few hours of the consultation had the boys figured out and a plan for us going forward. The boys began sleeping longer stretches immediate and by 3 weeks were sleeping 11/12 hours through the night and were more content during the day as was I after finally getting my sleep back. Brenda helped both our children sleep and settle into a routine. This helped us regain our sanity. I am quiet anxious and needed some sort of structure , Brenda really helped. She answered calls in the middle of the night and reassured us it would all be OK. Our kids are generally good sleepers now (besides sickness and teething). She has some good tips. She is straight down the line, but sometimes that’s what we need.

We have used Brenda as a night nanny for both of our children since they were born. Staying with us for 3.5 months with our first and 3 months with our second. she was excellent at getting them to sleep through the night by the time she left. Her methods work and we would be lost without her! My now 2 year old is still an excellent sleeper after Brenda’s initial training when she was a baby.

Brenda has given my husband and I the tools to enable healthy habits for our baby.
With a very stubborn reflux baby, who never slept in her own crib, and only on mum I didn’t believe anything would work, but alas Brenda supported us and we now have a 7-7 sleeper with 3 additional naps during the day.
Within a day, baby was showing she loved the new routine.
Brenda was right to the point about what needed to change in order for baby to sleep properly, and it takes a lot of perserverance but it works.
We are so grateful to Brenda, we have our lives back somewhat with a happy developing baby.

We first used nanny Brenda when our daughter was 5 months. She had been waking 4/5 times a night, sometimes to feed and sometimes just to cuddle and was very hard to resettle. Within 4 days she began happily sleeping through 7-7 and has done so ever since (she is now 2).
We recently used nanny Brenda again for our son when he was 3 months old. Although he is a very different baby to our daughter he went from waking multiple times a night to only having one dream feed within 48 hours and over the next few weeks we gently weened him to no feeds overnight. He also now sleeps 7-7 at just over 4 months old.
Whilst Brenda’s approach is strict and the first few days are tough on everyone, it is very effective and both my children now seem happy and thriving in their routine. I recommend Nanny Brenda very highly and urge parents to trust in the process.

My husband found Brenda through a recommendation. Our 5 month old was waking 3-6 times a night to breastfeed and would need to be rocked or fed to sleep every nap. We were exhausted! He self settled for his nap & bedtime the day of Brenda’s visit (which he’d never done before) and within four days (we were a little slow to follow Brenda’s advice to the T) our baby was sleeping through the night with no loud wakes, feeds or visits. 3 weeks later & we have 7-7 non interrupted nights of sleep as the norm. It has been life changing. Harry seems his happy self and we have energy again to be better parents in the day. Thank you Brenda for the dramatic change - mat leave is actually fun now! One thing I’d say is that Brenda won’t be for you if you’re not prepared to let your baby cry. She also is very strict & doesn’t mince her words - we got messages saying we were “soft” and that our baby was “stubborn”. I can see that she wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea but if you want results and you’ve got a thick skin then go for it! We will seek Brenda’s help again in future.
