British homesellers was very professional from start to finish . Alex clendon was very helpful and my deposit was refunded very quickly. Very pleased with the service from British homesellers.
Great communication, quick responses to emails or voicemails. Endeavoured to answer any queries in a timely fashion which helped reduce any additional stress that comes with a house move. Robert was a great help in liaising with our seller to ensure as smooth a sale as possible! Thanks!
Very helpful and informative throughout.
Alex and Charles kept in touch regularly and explained things in a friendly manner.
Process relatively easy, staff on hand to answer queries, if I left a message someone always got back to me within a few minutes. Thankyou to Alex, Hannah and Molly
Really easy and simple transaction, only had to speak to the estate agents 3 times during the whole process, once to book a viewing, once to make an offer and once to receive the keys, they dealt with everything quickly and effectively with our solicitors, whole process only took 7 weeks, thanks to Robert Love for keeping us in the loop with emails regarding process.
4 stars given only because we didn’t have much involvement as we were the buyers not the sellers. All over a positive experience, easy to contact and prompt with their replies. Handled all our queries with urgency and we’re helpful throughout. Robert Lowe reached out to us the majority of the time, always kept us in the loop, we never felt like we had to chase them up. Hadn’t heard of them before but happy with the experience, helped made our first time buying experience better
Though British Homesellers have some lovely people on their team, are great to get in contact and very helpful, we did not have the best of experiences.
We signed up for the house to be advertised slightly under market value for their buyers who they said would be in a position to complete after 6 weeks of an offer. Instead they just marketed the house traditionally, at market value, which meant we were worse off than if we had asked a local agent. British Homesellers were more expensive and unable to facilitate the viewings so we the sellers had to and when it came to the sale they lacked the local know how to support with valuation issue which, I believe, led to the sale falling through.
Nice people to work with but do not fall for their ‘we specialise in fast sales’ - they are simply just an internet estate agent.
They’ve replied to my review to say that the property was down valued. Which is untrue as we didn’t even get to that stage for the surveyor to respond with this information. Their comments would ironically also be an indicator that BHS miscalculated the value of the house to start with. In addition when it came to actually finding a buyer the conveyancing process took exactly the same amount of time; there was no process to speed things up so once again saying ‘we specialise in fast sales’ doesn’t make it the truth. Do not bother.
Please be careful with their reviews and choose wisely.

As house buyers through British Homesellers, we just wanted to say many thanks to an incredibly professional and courteous team for their prompt replies to our queries and high level of customer service throughout the process. I know it’s a team effort but special mentions must go to Robert, Molly and Charlie for keeping us updated and for ensuring that communication lines were always open with the seller, too. Thanks again and I’d be happy to recommend you to anyone who might have doubts about using an online estate agent.
A positive experience on the whole the agents I dealt with Robert and Charles were amazing keep me in the loop at all times and answered any of my queries promptly and efficiently. I found them most professional but also compassionate and empathetic.
From a buyers point of veiw I would rather have an agent on the High Street but that's just personal choice and it no way made it a deal breaker .
I would recommend their services and felt by the time I completed we had built a professional friendship.
Made it very easy from start to finish. Communicated throughout the whole process.
I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was so impressed by the high standard of communication and efficiency shown by Alex and Charles at British Homesellers. I’ve never bought a house on my own before and they made the experience so much easier and less scary than I thought it would be. Highly recommend
My experience with British Homesellers was horrendous. I could write a lot more but will summarise the biggest issues as follows:
1) They said they were different from estate agents as they had a big panel of investors/corporate buyers. This is untrue. They are (shoddy) online estate agents.
2) They promised to get more for my property because of the panel of investors. They guaranteed a minimum price they'd achieve. This was also untrue. My property sold for less than valued.
3) They lured me away from a very good agent then copied all the information & the floor plan which had been produced by my previous agent. I asked British Homesellers to make a change to the floorplan and they couldn't because they didn't create it.
4) They took photos which were terrible and truncated all the rooms & garden making them look half their size. Their photographer, a freelancer, stomped through my house with his shoes on depositing mud everywhere.
5) They don't do viewings. These have to be carried out by the vendor. Basically you have to sell your own house.
6) They make no provision for handover of keys on moving day. The conveyancers aren't permitted to hold keys so I had to speak directly with my buyer and arrange to meet her to hand over keys.
7) The buyer of my property had already been in contact with my previous agent about my property. She saw it again on Rightmove once British Homesellers had taken it on and reduced the price.
8) Once an offer had been accepted on my property I heard NOTHING from British Homesellers for the next 5 months. I contacted them a few weeks before moving to ask about handover of keys and they said they don't make any provision for keys. I then had a phone call from them on moving day at about 10am asking if I'd made arrangements to hand over keys. This was whilst the house was in chaos with removal people and I was frantically directing them on what was going and staying in the property.
9) A few weeks after moving day I had a call from British Homesellers asking about my experience. I told them it had been horrendous, gave them details & said I'd never use them again. I was told they'd investigate and come back to me. As at today, more than a year later, they've not called back.
In summary, this company doesn't deliver what they promise and a lot of their sales chat is misleading and inaccurate. They charge the same as a regular estate agent but only do a fraction of the work.
I would have given them zero stars if it was an option.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Go and get yourself a proper estate agent.

Throughout the entire process BHS were there to answer any queries and indeed go the extra mile to get the purchase over the line. Alex Clendon in particular was absolutely superb and made what could have been a stressful undertaking smooth and drama free. Thanks to all the team at British Home Sellers. Great job!
British Homesellers really made my relocation so very much easier and by their prompt and frequent communication with updates, I was reassured throughout. A really first rate service. Thanks especially to Charles and to Alex.
Bought my first home with them, had no real dramas and went through without a hitch.
I had a bad experience with British home sellers. Initially I had a local agent selling my place for a month and had steady viewings. I had a leaflet put through my door from British home sellers informing me that they wished to sell my house, they told me that my valuation and the previous local agents valuation was good and that my property would be sold in 3months at the latest. Being slightly naive I gave them sole selling rights for my property and took it away from the local agent. They told me that a professional photographer would come take pictures of my place which they never did, instead using very old and dated pictures, in fact I never met a single representative from the company in the 6 months, my viewings dropped to zero, I’m not lying, I had zero viewings in 6 months. I would get a text message every two weeks telling me how many times sombody brushed passed my house on the website and to stick by them as they worked on trying to sell my place. After 6 months of this nonsense and waiting to get out of the clause to let some serious people sell my house I am finally on the road to selling my place again. What a nightmare and what a waste of 6 months. Stay away from these guys, they will lead you on

Super helpful friendly staff - made buying our home so easy. Only knocked off a star as we had to go through sellers to get access - which was a little cumbersome. Overall very happy, thank you.
Easy to contact, polite and helpful staff. Alex was great and helped explain the buying process to me as I was helping my elderly father purchase a flat. Tara was also extremely helpful when we hit a few hurdles at the 11th hour. Thankyou to all the team, my Dad is happily settled in his fabulous new home.
My wife and I got the property we wanted with the help of British Homesellers. We were first time buyers but they made the process so simple and stress free. They answered many questions and assisted us in many ways from phone calls between us and the sellers, providing answers to relevant questions to us and our conveyancer and legal team and finally helping with the key and handover. They were immensely helpful and I would definitely recommend British Homesellers.
