I was shipped different shoes than my order -- twice -- and was informed by Ecco that I would have to pay the return postage. I wrote a letter to the company. No reply.

Bought sneakers on line they did not…

Bought sneakers on line they did not fit returned immediately to the cost of 17.10. Mailed back and they received on 5/14 and still not a refund even though they admit they received. Email states can take up to 4 weeks!!!! This is unacceptable.

I wanted to exchange 2 pair of shoes…

I wanted to exchange 2 pair of shoes because they were a size too small. I sent them back , waited a loooong time. Got the same shoes back with a note that they had been worn! wth? I tried them on in the house to confirm that they were the wrong size and packed them back up in their original box and sent it back. Did they send me shoes that had been worn by someone else? That would be very bad. Or did Ecco just not want to take them back? Really bad service. I will never buy ECCO agan :(

New ECCO Mens Soft Tred 7 boots

Ordered a pair of ECCO Mens Soft Tred 7 boots to replace a four year old pair of earlier ECCO's which I loved. BIG MISTAKE.
I didn't buy em for looks but for function.
Couldn't try them on in a store due to Covid lockdown/closures, so went by previous sizing and ordered online. Delivery experience was fine.
BUT...my new boots are VERY uncomfortable.
The inside seams attaching the soles to the uppers are very hard and rub my feet on my instep (right where you want comfort and "give".. The boots are wide enough but the elasticized lacing system pulls the top seams onto my instep and rubs with every move.
Have worn them a few times hoping to break them in so they are now not returnable. Unfortunately they aren't getting any more comfortable.
For $229 CDN I expected better. Its too bad because I just loved my old ECCO boots.

HUGE let down

I started wearing ECCO about 10 years ago. loved my loafers and end up buying dress shoes as well. my wife bought Ecco shoes as well and was quite happy. Since then I've bought quite a few Dress shoes as I wear them to work. Also, I keep couple pairs on the side for weddings and special occasion, so they hardly get worn. I wore an older shoes to a wedding, which I only worn few times before, and halfway thru the reception I lost one heel of the shoe, just disintegrated. anyways I contacted customer service, thinking they would stand behind their product. but they refused to get them repaired because they were over 5 years old. Same reply I got back as some of the other reviews here.
I have 3-4 almost brand new (2-3 years old) pairs sitting in the closet and I am worried to wear them to any gathering.
These are not cheap shoes and if the company's not standing behind the quality of their product, it’s not worth supporting them. I wouldn't recommend Ecco shoes to anybody.

Ecco shoes were my very favorite…

Ecco shoes were my very favorite quality shoe. I liked them so much I would buy them in every color. My mistake was that if you don't wear them right away, they are made to have the soles disintegrate after 2 or 3 years. I put brand new shoes on and they fell apart. Had this happen to 5 pair. No more Eccos for me. Very disappointed.

Subject: 20 Years of ECCO in Elementary Schools!

Good morning,

As an elementary school teacher for 8 years, and a principal the past 12, I spend a great deal of time on my feet each day. I discovered ECCO shoes 20 years ago when my mother purchased a pair for me; as a young, new teacher I was thrilled to receive the gift of such a high-quality shoe. From then on, I've ALWAYS had 3-4 pair of ECCO shoes in my closet: a black & brown pair of dress shoes, a pair for casual, and of course, my favourite 'clog' slip-ons that I wore for years.

I cannot tell you how profoundly disappointed I am with this anomaly pair of black dress shoes - after not even one school year of wear, the soles are completely deteriorated. I wonder if there was some issue in the manufacturing process; the brown version of the same shoe, which was purchased at the same time, is perfectly normal.

Although I did search for the receipt, I was unable to find it. I trust that ECCO will do the right thing and stand behind your product. As I tell my young students all the time, character is 'doing right thing, even when nobody's looking.' I hope the corporate character of ECCO is as robust as the shoes they (typically) manufacture.

Terrifying.

Terrifying.

Just terrifying how slow this company responds. It’s 2020. Wake up you archaic sob’s. most purchases are done online ESPECIALLY with Woohan/Corona virus rampaging Canada. It’s about time you get a proper online department. If people saw these reviews prior to purchase, NOBODY will buy your shoes.

Expect zero sales online. Maybe your outlets could survive. Let’s hope that applies in post-corona, AKA non-contact-delivery for next couple years. GOOD LUCK.

Horrible customer service and no respect for customers.

I had an older $50 gift card I forgot about which still had a balance when I last checked about a year ago. Then I checked again now and there is an error finding the balance because they changed the number length on the card and mine is outdated. Called customer service and agreed that I am still entitled to my original balance and I will get a replacement card. Then get email confirming my replacement card approval and that a tracking number will be sent shortly. Few days pass and get a new email where they blatantly change their mind and give me a 20% coupon off one pair of shoe instead, reason being no gift cards available (???). I request a virtual gift card instead as this is an extremely unfair substitution for the cash which I am now out of and they reply to me saying no. Extremely disappointed and never experienced anything like this from another company. Will no longer shop from the company and will tell friends and family to do the same.

I have been wearing ECCO Shoes for many…

I have been wearing ECCO Shoes for many years I loved the style and comfort! This year I had to throw out 5 almost new pairs of shoes as the soles turned into a gel substance! The soles all crumbled and there was some gooey substance all over the soles! All my beautiful Ecco shoes were toast! Over a $1000.00 of shoes into the garbage can a huge disappointment. There will be no echos here again ever!

Worse shipping service ever

Worse shipping service ever! I purchased a pair of shoes at the store in Ottawa to be shipped to my home address. Two weeks have passed and I still didn't receive my shoes! I called their number 1 (800)358-3226 but it's always out of service or drops the call when the voice message starts!! I sent a couple of emails but they never reply!!...All what I want now is my money back, and I will never buy anything from them again!

Disappointing customer service

I use to only wear ECCO shoes.
I own several pair and one pair I saved for special occasions and apparently if you DON'T wear them frequently (as told to me by a guy at The Walking Store) the bottoms will disintegrate which is exactly what happened. I shipped them back to ECCO under warranty.
They sent me a voucher for $100 but the shoes cost almost $200. I called and they said the decision is final. Disappointing customer services so I would recommend skipping ECCO shoes.

Defective soles

I have had two pair of Ecco shoes. One pair was casual and the other pair were dress. The sole of the right dress shoe broke off in a shard. The sole of the right casual shoe disintegrated. I bought the shoes because they were the most comfortable shoe that I had ever worn but now I will not buy another pair.

I own 3 pairs of Ecco shoes because

I own 3 pairs of Ecco shoes because they fit me well. But in all three pairs the soles completely disintegrated or broke and I have to throw them away.
I am 73 years old and definitely are not harsh on my shoes. I contacted Ecco and they replied that I should sent the shoes in. That will cost me over $40 without any guarantee for replacement.I sent them explicit photos of the soles but that is not enough.
I will never buy Ecco again. No quality and no good service or guarantee.

I am honestly shocked at the reviews…

I am honestly shocked at the reviews that preceded me. i bought a great pair of shoes four years ago at Yorkdale in Toronto. Unfortunately the stitching started to go a bit. None of my many previous Ecco shoes had done that. Not a bad record of reliability but on a whim I thought i would retrieve the bill and go talk to them about it. To make a long story short i received a store credit for the amount i originally paid in 2015 so after i got over the initial shock i used it to buy another pair. The salesperson and the manager were excellent, very professional and concerned about my situation. i can't say enough good things about Ecco. Thanks.

Honestly shocked

Honestly shocked. For $200+ shoes I expect much better customer service.
I ordered a size 44 from Ecco Canada, which corresponds to a 10/10.5 according to their size chart (I’m a 10.5). The boots were too big, so I have the simple question of whether they can exchange it for a size 43.
After several emails, phone calls, and a voicemail, I’ve yet to receive a response or speak to an actual person.
The product is not bad but I’m appalled at the customer service. I won’t be spending top dollar on a company that doesn’t have the decency to respond to a customer inquiry.

Clown Shoes. Terrible Service.

Probably the worst online retail experience I've had in the past 10 years.

I'm the owner of multiple pairs of Ecco shoes and have been using their products for many years. However, their online shopping service is so bad that it leads me to believe that they, in fact, sell only clown shoes and broken promises now.

I am now more than three weeks out from having placed my order and it has still not been fulfilled despite being paid for at the time of transaction.

They apparently closed their warehouse for a physical inventory before fulfilling orders placed during their Boxing Day sale. What kind of retailer operates like that? One that doesn't care about their customers, that's what.

Customer service is essentially non-existent. I've sent at least 10 emails and thus far the most helpful response I received was via a form letter, which was no help at all. In that letter I was promised that my order would be shipped the next day. Well, it is now five days later and I'm back to firing off emails that are sure to go unanswered.

'Why didn't you just call them?' Fair question. I have called their customer service line four times and have not been lucky enough to speak with an actual person.

I have reached out to them on Twitter, but their SalesForce social media management team can only pledge to contact the retailer to inform them of the issue. Good luck with that.

I have gone from being an advocate of Ecco products to being unlikely to ever buy another one of their products ever again.

**update — The only way I was able to get any movement from Ecco Canada on my order was to file a dispute with PayPal. During the dispute, the reason they gave me for the delay was that my address from PayPal was incomplete. I have never had a similar issue from any other vendor. Also, it’s confusing as to why this issue wasn’t brought up for their CS during any of our multiple email exchanges. Terrible service.

I bought an ECCO shoes online model…

I bought an ECCO shoes online model name is LHASA and had it shipped to Bhutan, I complained to the company customer service and they didn't even respond till I followed up about 4 times. After that they kept pushing me to different people and after a few months ECCO has asked me to ship the shoes back to the usa. Now I explained that Bhutan to the usa cost of shipping was not viable as it's so expensive to send the shoes back and they have refused to help. I think the model is a problems. Who have every body knows but wants to ignore. Such small thinking behaviour from a company that I have patronised for years. It's just so sad to see it run down by unfriendly service and cheap mentality of customer service.
Not everybody is a crook like you all. Firstly you have our money. And secondly you ask us to waste if on shipping to prove to you. I would have done it happily if I was in the USA so please use your brains.

Purchased 2 pairs of women boots 3 …

Purchased 2 pairs of women boots 3 months ago. One of the pairs has wooden heel . After several times of using it it looks like a 5 years old shoe.
Very poor quality for 200$ shoe ( the original price is $270). As a regular ECCO costumer ( i would buy only ecco shoes for the last couple of years) i reached out to their costumer service and send them photos of the shoe.I got a very polite answer that it looks like regular wear and tear. I am positive you can find better quality for those prices.
