Worst experience ever
We recently returned from staying in the Running Bear cabin. Beautiful cabin but by far the dirtiest and most disappointing place we have ever stayed. We arrived at 4 pm at the address provided in Gatlinburg for check in only to find it being the office, which was not even open. After several phone calls and making contact with our other family members, at 515 I received a message directing us to the actual location of the cabin, which was back in Sevierville!!
Upon arrival, the place was filthy! Clearly had not been cleaned. Most of the dishes clearly had not been washed. We had no water and the dishwasher did not work. The dishes all had to be washed. Tables and counters cleaned. The floors were disgusting; we had to wear shoes at all times and the children could not sit on them to play. Two beds were made up; one bed had soiled sheets on it and the fourth bed had no sheets at all. None of the beds had mattress pads and the comforters smelled horrible; old, sweaty and dusty. Only one bathroom had towels and that bathroom had molded French fries on the floor. There were no towels or dish clothes in the kitchen. There were open beer bottles, soda cans, and snack wrappers throughout. The shower curtains were molded and one bathroom had shower gel all over the surround. Another shower/tub had the faucet laying in the bottom of the tub. After several calls, someone came to turn on the water and connected the dishwasher. He looked at the tub but did not know how to fix and said they would return the next day but did not!
The movie theatre equipment did not work and the projector was dangling from the ceiling. We were unable to use it for the entire week.
On Wednesday evening “an inspector” came, took photos as he looked throughout the cabin and apologized over and over. He told he would be back with a cleaning crew and maintenance team the next morning. That did not happen either!
We have stayed in many cabins, resorts and Vrbo locations. This was by far the dirtiest and worst experience we have ever encountered. We would not recommend this company to anyone and we were so disappointed as well as embarrassed to have taken our family there!!

Do not rent from this company worst cabin ever, these are not luxury cabins. I rented Elizabeth View II it was so nasty and dirty, the table look like they picked it up on the side of the road. Upstairs AC was broken, My husband and I went but cleaning supplies and it took us 4 hrs to clean it. Cleaning people never showed up. 12 person cabin only 2 face towels had to go buy towels before my family showed up, the 7 tv none worked. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY, NOT LUXURY AT ALL. WOULD NOT MOVE US TO ANOTHER CABIN. BEWARE

This experience was horrible from the beginning. READ THE WHOLE REVIEW. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. The check in process was a nightmare. The would not give us the address to the cabin and we had to just wait in Pigeon Forge. We kept being told our check in was not complete, not our fault, and were forced to wait. We called more than 10 times and got the run around every time we called. 2.5 ours past our check in time we were finally given the address to the cabin. When we got to Timber Wolf cabin it was a mess before we ever got inside. Trash in the walkway and the woods and the porch was nasty. We got inside and there was broken wood with nails exposed, the linens were horrible, the kitchen was dirty, dishes not clean, spiderwebs throughout the cabin, kitchen counters sticky and dirty. The master tub was DISGUSTING. There were pubic hairs on the tub!!!! The tub itself was dirty. There was no wifi or cell service. There were loose boards on the stairs to the deck. We thought maybe we would just calm down and go sit in the hot tub and then call in the morning to complain. The hot tub was NASTY. Water was not clear or clean and it smelled like mildew so that was a no go. The beds are HORRIBLE. Even the kids had horrible neck and back pain the next morning. 2 of the arcade games did not work which pissed me off because the kids were looking forward to that. We complained and nothing was ever resolved. From start to finish our stay was an absolute nightmare. I have never seen such filth. We will never rent from this company again. I do not know how they are even still in business!!!
Find a better place
If you are renting a cabin, you really should put updated photos on the website and also describe the driveway conditions. We went to our cabin expecting something that we did not get. First, the driveway was so narrow and short, that i had a difficult time turning around as to not have to back out of the parking area, in my F350 truck. Cabin 735 doesn't have parking big enough for a 1 ton truck. Second, the cabin itself was in really bad condition compared to the Photos on the website. The floors are in terrible shape. I personally jammed my toes on broken tiles in the kitchen. The Hardwood floors are just absolutely gross with black stains. Both fireplaces do not work and probably haven't for some time, as they are in a terrible state of disrepair. The lighting problems are absolutely shocking. How can you allow a cabins lighting problems to go unresolved? The Light above the stove, above the sink, under the counters, and the Hot tub Lights, were all not working. Also, we booked the stay for six guest, but when we arrived, there was only 2 wash cloths in the entire cabin and it took almost 24 hours to get more. There was both a fitted and flat sheet for the futon, but no blanket or comforter. The king bed in the Master bedroom had only a flat sheet and thin covering with no comforter. And again, it took almost 24 hours to get the proper bed coverings, then when we got them, the Comforter looked as though it was used to catch all the lint from everywhere. It was gross, to put it bluntly, we wouldn't use it! The customer service was just as equally disappointing. When we called multiple times, they would just tell us, "I will write a maintenance report for you". We were told they are new and couldn't do anything to help us, that we would have to call on checkout day to get help. We went to take the trash to a dumpster but couldn't find one, so we called customer service, and they couldn't even tell me were one was. All they could tell me was, it is down the street. Needless to say, we were very disappointed with the Cabin, Customer Service, We have stayed with Cabins of the Smoky Mountains in the past and were very happy with those experiences, but this stay has left us very unhappy and now how can we trust that what we see in the photos on the website is what we are booking? There is way too much money going into a chance of disappointment of that caliber. This experience absolutely ruined our vacation. We spent in excess of $3,000.00 on our trip to Gatlinburg and $1400.00 was on this cabin, to which they credited us back $308.00. I will say with all sincerity, i will take the refund, but that is ridiculous for what we dealt with.

If you are fine with the above, Book here! My family And I went to the "Luxury" Cabins of the Smoky Mountains as a celebratory moment due me being an author and my latest book release. It was even in a gated community. We arrived on March 22, 2021 at the Ravens Eye cabin in Sevierville, TN. A plethora of issues existed with this place. The description online and the photos are much different in person. It's basically fraud. We had at least two clogged drains, broken sinks/showers, mold in one of the bathrooms that clearly hasn't been treated in a long time time (people in my family have Asthma) and I had my children and dogs with me. There were also roaches throughout the kitchen. Nobody should use the silverware or plates. They are rusted and dirty. We called several times to get help, but communication was unprofessional and minimal. Many of the locks are broken and there are several screens torn down. Once the maintenance man actually showed up, he confirmed everything and took more pics. After forcing us to deal with this for a whole day, we were able to contact someone and they provided us a replacement cabin at 810 great smoky way. (Gatlinburg). My family missed out on a whole day due to waiting for responses. The new cabin ALSO had roaches (kitchen), broken TVs and toilets. They considered the new cabin an "upgrade" because it had more bedrooms (5). But we lost out on other amenities such as hot tubs and jacuzzis, a garage, and working TVs. This was an absolutely horrible experience. We have photos of most things. Management couldn't care less about customer service.

We stayed at Pools rush inn. Our check in wasn’t until 6 because the cabin wasn’t ready. The cabin was very disappointing. Broken mini blinds thru out, washer and dryer don’t work right, hot tub was nasty and had things floating in the water, upstairs bath tub faucet had a steady stream of water coming out of it the whole time, pool was freezing, floors were dirty and looked horrible. Trash all over the ground under the decks. Definitely is not what the website says. We will never rent this one again. Maintenance was a joke too. I did finally get ahold of a lady from customer service who finally helped us. They gave us a discount for our troubles.

DO NOT STAY HERE, WORSE PLACE EVER!!! I don't even know where to begin. I'll start with making reservations. I was told that the cabin was located behind The Lens, up a small hill and then leveling out, it was actually 7.5 miles past Dollywood up a very steep mountain. When arriving, all the lights in the cabin was on, the upstairs tv was on, we wondered if we had came into the wrong cabin. There was only 3-4 towels, no pot holders at all, the cookware was horrible, and not many of them either. The hot tub didn't work, the jacuzzi didnt work. Before you would finish a quick shower, you had to rinse your hair in cold water. Also the water starts out as brown, you have to run it a long time to get the brown out. The dishwasher didnt work, the washing machine didnt work and the fireplace didnt work. The downstairs tv would come on by itself, we unplugged everything and it would still have sound coming out of the speaker. Get the F out of here came through the speaker at one time. We would hear people talking and we heard someone coughing. SO either this place is haunted, or someone has cameras watching everything you do. the service was horrible, i was on the phone with them most of the time. They told me it had to be life or death. Well taking cold showers in the winter time is not the best thing to do. two of the employees hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager. I asked to be moved to a different cabin. I was told by one lady there was not any available, another lady that I talked to said there was one available but I had to wait on the maintenance to come resolve the problem, the mainenance came and said he couldn't fix the hot tub without ordering a heating element and the company probable wouldnt approve that, said all guest complains about the hot water and said the cabin could be haunted... I called the office again and they sent maintenance out again, still did not fix the problem. after two nights of dealing with freaky noises, the office members and maintenance and taking cold showers, we decided to cut our trip short and go home. By far the worst experience that I have ever had with anyone. Im sure that I am forgetting something.

The cabin was beyond dirty. Carpet was nasty we couldn't walk around in our socks. One wash cloth for 4 people we had six and stayed 4 days. Only one tv worked out of six. The windows were nasty. It took maintenance 3 hours to come each time we called. There was a bat in our cabin. It was the worse stay our group have every experienced. And we travel once or twice a year. When we asked for a refund we were told they could not even refund half our money. There was a leak on the basement level. There was underwear from a previous guest under the bed. There was not enough toilet paper for the stay. The furniture was dirty from what seemed like candy and punch from previous guest. I will never stay here again. I honestly wish they would close down. And the name of our cabin was Almost Heaven....isn't that a laugh. You would think it would be a much better experience.
Worst experience
First time we had such a great experience w Cabin for you and we wanted to use the same company again, however, that was the biggest mistake. The customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. Scenic Solitude is not well kept. Everything is broken or not working or bugs are everywhere . So we complained and they sent two maintenance guy unannounced and they just walked in using their codes. I felt violated that I could have been naked. Also there is another cabin right next to you and it’s very easy access to your cabin. No privacy at all. We lost our cash while we were staying and it was just me, my husband and my daughter. We definitely know it was not misplaced. We still looked everywhere possible but nothing. It was the worst experience I have ever had. Please read the reviews and do yourself a favor. I will never rent from this company again!
I'm usually very satisfied when I stay…
I'm usually very satisfied when I stay in cabins in the Smokey's. However, this trip was not the greatest cabin experience. Our check in was after 6pm, when it should have been 4pm. Our cabin was dusty, spider webs everywhere, two of the showers did not drain, and the trash was not picked up until we called the next day for a pickup. I called for housekeeping several times during the week and they finally arrived Thursday evening at 6pm, when our checkout was Friday at 10am. Customer service was great, however, I'm not sure why our trash was never picked up during the week. The cabin was nice, however, it was not the original cabin that I booked, since it was cancelled weeks prior to our trip. I wish I could write a better review, but we did not have the greatest experience this time around.

One Night Stay
One Night Stay . Not luxury cabins.
Had some positive and some negative experiences. We stayed at Lookout Ridge
PROS:
1. Reasonable maintained cabin.
2. Did a last minute one night booking which is difficult to get in smokies.
3. Had good amenities including pool table, air hockey and some old arcades and hot tub.
CONS:
1. Delayed check in. My check in was delayed due to cleaning and maintenance. by almost 3 hrs. had to stay in car with my 85 year old parents and kids . Could not go out due to crowd in Gatlinburg and COVID scare. They said they had to clean the cabin.
2. No parking around the house. The parking space around was occupied by neighbors.
3. These are definitely not luxury cabins. These are average cabins which are overpriced for their regular rates.
4. Not enough Crockery for number of people who can stay.
Overall not a bad experience for one night stay at last minute booking ,. However not a place I would stay if planned vacation.
NO LUXURY CABINS HERE!!!
TRAVELERS BEWARE!! BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!! These are NOT luxury cabins by any means!! We were recommended this place by our friends who stay in the condos every year. They raved about it so we decided to try a cabin, huge mistake!
We were supposed to stay at My Sugar Baby but the cabin was worn down, dirty and dusty! Upon arrival we were surprised by the walkway to the cabin, it was not completely paved so it made it a little tricky. Not to mention the huge wasps/hornets we had to navigate to get to the door.
Once inside the kitchen was worn out, run down and upon further inspection it was not the cleanest. The floor needs a good scrubbing, appliances all had a broken, missing and/or just worn out appearance. The table and chairs were not clean and several chairs had butt marks from people sitting in them wet so they badly need to be refinished. All the chairs were dusty and the ceiling above the table had large dust balls hanging from them. In the bedroom there were cobwebs all across the top of the tv area.
There were torn and stained curtains and lampshades throughout, the cabin, ceiling fans were covered in dust so much so that even the ceiling had dust around it, styrofoam in the ceiling vent. Ants and centipedes on both floors. Outside spaces were not really usable due to the wasps/hornets and carpenter bees. The outside of th hot tub looked like it was splitting apart on one side.
Extra pillows Covered in hair, pool table had curious stains and hair and air hockey table was terribly cracked in the middle. Not to mention the toenail clippings under the loveseat on the 2nd floor. After nearly 2 hours of dealing with this they offered to clean the floors and ceiling fans and spray for bugs the next day with a 1 night refund or we could leave and they'd only keep our deposit.
We opted to leave and find a hotel nearby but will be disputing the deposit charge With our credit card company. We did nothing wrong, they failed to do their job of providing us with the luxury cabin they promised. We definitely will not be back! HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!!
A business that CARES!
I can recommend the Cabins Of The Smoky Mountains for a good experience, especially during these rough days, as we navigate through the "New Normal" we are all being a part of due to the Pandemic. I have had opportunity to communicate with Tony from this business. He was more then helpful, he was courteous, respectful and very understanding to my plight. Once I communicated my needs, Tony was exceptional at finding a solution to my problem. I am confident that any future bookings with this business in the future will be smooth and accommodating.
Disappointed in cleanliness
Disappointed in cleanliness, obstructed view, and lack of maintenance. Was not what we expected. We stayed in the Audacious cabin and none of us who stayed would recommend staying in this cabin.
Not what we expected.
First of all we spent 45 minutes in the parking lot trying to check in. I never received the email with address and key code. Had to call 3 times and ask for them to give me a verbal address and code as we was tired and hot sitting in the parking lot waiting in an emailed check in. I understand with the virus things are different but I was not told ahead of time that check in had changed. I was told I had to go to the office with my card to check in.
I do not know who cleans their cabin but they do not do a good job. Kitchen cabinet had food dried on them , rice on top of refrigerator, floors needed a good mopping, carpets need a deep cleaning or pulled up. Parking area was a mess when we arrived beer can water bottles paper. Trash ben was full. Pourches we’re uninviting, furniture very old unsafe looking. Pourches their self was unsafe looking. Our neighbors on each side had nice pourches. Hot tub was a hot mess, unsafe looking. We had to call our front door would not lock. TV were hard to operate too many remotes some with batteries some with out. Maintenance had to come figure out remotes. WiFi never worked. We got ready to give baths the first night and we realized there were only 3 towels per bathroom x 3 = 9 cabin sleeps 14 we had 13. No wash clothes at all and 1 hand towel per bath. My daughters went to store to buy towels and wash cloths to give children their baths. No kitchen towels. Bed covers need to be washed or replace in a few of the bedrooms. For sure the ground level bedroom as it look like it had drool marks on it. We washed the sheet in that bedroom first night before we slept on them. It was not the original cabin we booked. I feel we were down graded in the move. So we just made do.

"The cabin The Gathering Place needs a lot of TLC. When we arrived the hot tub was not working. We could not use it for the first 2 days we stayed. The temperature could not be adjusted, most of the jets did not work and the noise from the ancient hot tub was disturbing. There are no racks in the doors of the refrigerator and freezer so if you have something in the door it falls out. All the dishes and silverware in the cabinets and drawers were dirty. We had to hand wash everything because the bottom rack of the dishwasher is not the original part and will not allow the water spraying tower rise up to spray the water inside the dishwasher. There is no toilet paper holder in the main floor bathroom. One roll of toilet paper per bathroom for 9 guests for a 5 night stay is not enough. We had only 8 dining chairs. The downstairs bathroom had pistachio shells on the floor and cobwebs on the walls. The flimsy trash cans outside were raided every night by raccoons and on the last day by 2 bears in the morning. There is trash laying all around the side and the back of the cabin. YHE TV did not have the right remote to watch Netflix and could not be located by the service personnel. The living room fan does not work which makes it hot in the loft bedroom. The air filter cover was totally black. If you would like I took a few pictures that I can send. When I called about the hot tub I was told we will get a $40 refund of the cleaning fee. "
