We rented Pleasant Surprise Memorial Weekend 2020 let me just say nothing was pleasant about this cabin. When we walked into the door, first noticed rocking chair on deck had a arm broke off lying on the ground next to it. The deck furniture, I would have thrown away if it was at my house.
Next I went to wash my hands At the kitchen sink and the sprayer at the sink is the only thing that was working and you couldn’t turn it off the handle was broke. Water would not come out of the faucet at all. It was chilly that day cause it had been raining went to turn the fireplace on, guess what didn’t work. Needless to say at that time I picked up the phone and called for maintenance. Have to have a sink working. The guy who came to fix the issues was very nice, no problem with him. Before he came I went and checked out the hot tub. OMG! It was green and the smell was horrible! So I had him look at that also. He stated that it hadn’t been cleaned and drained the water and filled it back up. While he was there he stated that the cabin was on well water. We keep smelling something funky and didn’t think it would be the water. Sure enough every time you turned water on there was that smell again.
Before we went to bed that night. We were putting my grandson to bed and he sleeps with a tv on, so we turned it on. Surprise the screen was busted Not in like 1 spot like all over someone had bunching bag practice on it! So we had to move a tv from another room to that one so he could go to sleep. The next morning I found blood on the walls. I guess the housekeepers don’t look for those things either! BLOOD on walls! Guess that explains the tv busted up.
Everytime we had a issue I called the office so that we wouldn’t be responsible for the damages. They were very sorry, and polite. Finally I called and talked to a guy named Matt, who I was talking about everything with and he offered me a 15 percent discount on my next booking! Like that’s going to happen!
My husband wanted to leave a day earlier, and we should have! No one wanted to shower cause the smell of the water was so bad, you had to hold your breath! Stains in the bathtub and hot tub from the well water!
We stayed their Memorial Day weekend 2020 and unless they do some major renovations to this cabin. Take your chances and sleep with the bears!
We rented the Snowbird
We rented the Snowbird. The pictures were very deceiving. Cabin looked nothing like the pictures. It was extremely outdate, the couches had stains all over them (we put sheet over them so we could sit), only one jet in the hot tub worked. Said there was a dishwasher and rockers. Neither was there. Trash can in bathroom was broken, large pot hole in driveway, drywall falling from the ceiling, had to plug in and unplug light every time you used the bathroom. We received NO info! Didn't have gate code, wifi code or pool code. Had to call office for directions and they had no clue. Directions said pull into the resort however it was a wedding venue, not a resort. There was a wedding while we were there and we had to drive through the weeding! The office didn't really help much. Had to figure it out. This was like a National Lampoons vacation. We learned our lesson and will do a little more research as this cabin was ran down.

"We had multiple issues that would cause us not to use your rentals again. Serious safety issues. We could not use the cabin till after 7 pm and paid over 550.00 per night. The electric was out in one of the bedrooms (could not use that room) no TV or lights. The smoke detectors missing (wires hanging out the ceiling). The hot tub was not heating, could not use, until the 2nd day (after maintenance come and fixed). The cabin was not clean, food in the couch and left on floors. The door to the deck had a green knob (I can send pictures). The pool rail was rusted, I was afraid to use it. Very disappointed for the price paid. It really broke my heart to be honest. "
First Time Experience!!
This was our first time visiting. The scenery was very beautiful. We had issues with our cabins upon arrival. We stayed at “5 star view” and “Glimpse of heaven. We had to call customer service, our issues did get resolved. Susie from management did reach out and ensure we are satisfied customers. Overall we enjoyed our family trip and we will be returning.
Legacy Lodge 12 bedroom cabin CRAP!!!!!
I have been staying with your company for over 5 years and this is by far the worst cabin I have ever stayed in. The kitchen cabinet was broken, the downstairs bathroom cabinet in one of the bedrooms was missing, 1 hot tub didn’t get hot, the other one was only half full and neither was not clean, every toilet in the cabin Is so old& outdated that they was sooo hard to flush and it would get stuck at times then you would have to take the top off to push it down so the water bowl could fill up, one of the microwaves didn’t get hot, water leaked through the bathroom floor from up stairs when someone took a shower, it sounded like something was inside the cabin walls and eating through it. The lights downstairs kept flickering, the TVs in 10 of the rooms was 19 inch, some of the remotes was missing batteries & one of the TVs volume didn’t work.

I absolutely love the cabins here! I visit at least twice a year every year! My husband and I both work in the hospital, which has been so stressful at this time.,so we needed a quick get away! The cabins are always clean, game room, and hot tub is a plus, something for everyone to do.The customer service is great! I had the pleasure of booking with Tony this time he was awesome , he thanked me for my hard work being on the frontline at the time of this pandemic.I booked with Jessica already to return again next weekend with my family I also Thank them all also for their hard work at a time such as this !

I wouldn’t recommend these cabins to anyone. This is the second time we have been to a cabin and the experiences are completely different. The cabin we were in was supposed to be secluded and our neighbors to the left could literally shine their car lights right into the living room area they were so close. While walking through the door we tried to turn on the outside light but it did not work. Upon entering we walked through tons of spider webs to a greeting that our cabin had been cleaned March 29th which was over a month before our stay. We went upstairs while walking through more cobwebs only to find a dirty whirlpool tub with bugs in it which then prompted me to check the outside tub. After walking through another series of cobwebs I open the top of the tub it was already off. So needless to say the tub was filthy like beyond being able to scoop the items out and still enjoy the tub. While going back inside we noticed the pool table that was clearly listed on the website as an amenity was not there, there are cues on the wall and balls on the table under the tv. When I called to get ahold of a guest services rep the phone rang forever and I was the only one in the queue. When I finally got in contact with someone I addressed my concerns and asked what could be done (as far as being switched or refunded)? I was told that they would send maintenance out who would be there in a little bit (never was I given a time frame) and basically was told if they could fix it they would and if not it was what it was. I ended up cleaning the cabin before anyone ever came because I couldn’t keep walking around in that mess. When someone finally got there to fix the issues (three hours later) they literally fixed the drain to the tub upstairs and drained the hot tub and refilled it (he never made sure it was working because the tub never got hotter than 65 degrees so we couldn’t even use it while we were there. Another amenity we paid for but didn’t get. I am highly disappointed because this was my first time ever in Tennessee and my experience was trash. I will not recommend this “resort” and will actually tell everyone I can to avoid these cabins with lazy workers at all costs. Trust the reviews guys!

I am telling you do not stay with this company!!!!! We arrived during the worst time of the covid 19....we tried to cancel our reservation which they would not allow us to do mind you not the US is all under states of emergency. When we arrived we received 700.00 in coupons for attractions which every single attraction was closed as well as all the restaurants...you could only do curbside pickup which we all know the quality is not the same. No one would deliver to our cabin. So we thought oh well pur cabin has a fireplace, pool table, sauna, jacuzzi tub, hot tub, fuseball table etc. I also planned a romantic package where we were suppose to have a huge candle light dinner for two which included roses sparkling grape juice, steaks, salad, pasta salad, potato salad, rolls, baked potatos now get this the roses were dead there was no grill for the steaks the salad was slimy and brown with a whole tomato on the top. Then we had added a mountain breakfast which was to include eggs bacon sausage loaf of homemade banana bread fresh fruit orange juice and milk pancakes and syrup for 95.00. We got rotted fruit eggs a half gallon of milk and a box of pancake mix! Then for 125.00 i had a mountain picnic which included alot but out lettuce tomatoes and meat were rotted and spoiled. Then we come to find out our pool table fireplace couch sauna jacuzzi tub were broken. Our jacuzzi tub had muddy water and jets didnt work. We called endless amounts of times a day and they refused to come fix anything we kept getting told they would compensate us at the end of the stay. We spent 6 nights on a loft bed watching a 19 inch tube tv in pure hell! You couldnt even enjoy the view there was so much trash behind the cabin, trash bags in the trees, so mich moss on the windows u could barely see out and oh wait did i forget to mention tons of cob webs hanging from the ceiling right where we slept! Then on last day we waited 2 hours for them to come review cabin and compensate and they wanted to give us 10% off a future stay i mean wow right!!!!!! Please do not believe the pictures on their website! I have never cried so much on a vacation or been disrespected in this way. We spent almost a year saving for this and the company did not care one bit. Ive taken so many pictures i wish i could show people the pics they provided and what we walked into! This was the indigo moon cabin by the way!!!!
UPDATE: as of Sunday march 29, 2020 i was contacted by a representative Katy with gatlinburg falls resort who is trying to rectify the situation. I can atleast say that katy, darren, and theresa have listened to us and understood where we stand and have been polite and respectful as considerate compared to several other reps that I've dealt with. Katy has told me they are in contact with the owners of the cabin to try and rectify all the broken items and cleanliness of that particular cabin. Also she has stated that this particular situation is in progress and being reported to a higher representative to supposedly start the compensation portion. I will keep this posted and hope they follow through with doing the right thing and compensating our horrific trip. Thank you and wish me good luck.

The resort called me and said they would reimburse me 150 if i changed my review on trust pilot to a 3 star and used the excuse that funda were locked whenever they get below 3 stars. I questioned them bc it made no sense but i chose to edit my rating to receive my money back. Well guess what once it was edited they refused my phone calls thwy kept putting me on hold till the hold time exceeded and the call would be dropped. Do NOT TRUST TWO OF THE REPS KATY AND HEATHER!!!! THEY ARE COMPLETE LIARS AND TREAT YOU AS IF YOUR A PIECE OF CRAP LAYING ON SOMEONE'S LAWN!!!!

Do not use this company! We are in state of crisis in this country. I am cancelling a reservation for April the 24 today March the 23. I am giving them, a months notice. I would understand if it were for any other reason that was personal to me. This is not for a personal reason to me. I am canceling because the whole country is canceling! The wedding I was attending is canceling and this company does not want to refund the $130 deposit. How petty can you be! The whole country is coming together and this company wants to nickel and dime everyone who needs to cancel their reservation right now which is everyone who made one!! What does that say for this company, for Pigeon Forge and for Tennessee?

We were extremely unsatisfied with the cabin. The cabin was dirty when got there even after it was supposedly cleaned all of the furniture is outdated and worn out and the carpet stinks through out the cabin for what is charged for rental the couches and tables should be in better condition then they are we even had light fixtures that were falling out of the ceiling in the restroom and wasp inside of the fixtures which made showering very unpleasant and the whole cabin feels like its leaning to one side and because of that water doesn't drain right and all of the doors close or open to that side of the cabin .also someone should be inspecting the silverware and plates and pans for cleanliness because there was still food stuck on them from the last renters and the fridge was really disgusting . Also there should be an exception for refunds during a pandemic like we are experiencing because of quartines and closures we had little to do in Gatlinburg or pigeon forge. 4. There was water leakage in one of the bedrooms located in the basement, this made the bed wet and was difficult for us to sleep almost 2 days.
They have reached out to us and i have explained them about the issues we have faced and they mentioned that issues have been fixed and also mentioned their apologies.

The cabin was beautiful but from the moment we arrived we started having problems. When we’d turn the lights on in the main downstairs bedroom, the power would trip the other downstairs bedroom. When I went out to reset that one, the rooms upstairs would trip. I was told they couldn’t do anything to fix it, I would just have to go to the breaker box and turn them back on. The main downstairs bathroom toilet wouldn’t flush and at one point while we were out the toilet overflowed throughout the bathroom and into the bedroom. I had to reset the breaker over 50x’s while we were there. They were very prompt in coming to try to help when we called, but it became a mute point. Like I said before, the cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed our trip but I feel sorry for whoever comes after us if they don’t have these items fixed.

Ruined my daughter’s daughter’s 16th birthday trip....absolutely horrible!
I had to call guest services several times regarding some of the issues with the cabin and I never received any satisfactory resolution to any of them. Below is the list of issues that we experienced with the cabin. The guest services agent with whom I spoke on Friday night said you would remove the cleaning fee charges and I’ve not got the refund and been receiving the runaround ever sense.
1- The multimedia projector in the home theater area: the sound does not work and is it not connected to any form of input to receive any signal from a television or movie player. The speakers do not have the correct connections to work correctly. Additionally, the instructions in the guest guide are not applicable or helpful. The instructions reference a universal remote and we have combed the cabin and there is not one. The theater was the main selling point for us, and advertising this, as is, is false advertising. The maintenance tech came by and confirmed that there was no receiver and said he would be back it’s one. We never saw him again or receive a return call.
2 - Most outrageously, there was poop all over the 3rd floor deck. There is a dog bed that blew off the deck and is laying on the ground. We couldn’t even go outside on the 3rd floor deck. This is a health hazard! It took until 5 Pm the next evening to get someone to clean up the poop. To add to it, there were over 10 piles of poop, so it’s not like this was a one night missed issue.
3 - There dust and cobwebs all over the cabin. To pay for a $300 cleaning fee I would expect a cleaner cabin. The floor is so dirty, we couldn’t walk around with getting stuff all over our feet. I pay less than half of this cost to have my entire home cleaned much better than this, and my home is twice the size.
4 - The cabin is run down and needs some renovation. You advertise it as luxury, and it is not at all luxury. I’d almost categorize it as superior if because of the theater (that didn’t work) and games, but it most likely is economy. I didn’t even have a oven mitt to remove stuff from the oven and for a cabin advertised to sleep 10, it had only 5 forks. We also only had 2 bars of soap for 6 people and 3 bathrooms.
5- There are no instructions for the WiFi, nor were they included in the guest packet. We had to call to get the password.
6- The outside had a leaking septic and the entire vacation smelled like sewage. we couldn’t even enjoy the hot tub due to the stench.
7- All the pillows were flat and there were stains in the bedding in the main floor bedroom. There was a crack in the wall that you could see outside and it was drafty and unpleasantly cold. None of the deck doors locked.
For my daughter’s 16th birthday trip, I am severly disappointed! Please honor your word and refund the cleaning fees, at least. If I were hospitality business in an area with this much competition, I’d actually comp the stay and save my reputation as a cabin lender.

I had a terrible experience
I had a terrible experience. I stayed at Morning Glory. The drive to the cabin was on a dirt road and my small, low riding car almost didn't make it up the hill. Second, the heating and air unit was not working. It was 87 degrees inside the cabin when I got there. I turned it on cool. After turning it to cool, I went to the hot tub and relaxed (day 1). When I got out of the hot tub and went back in the cabin it was so hot, it was like a steam room. I checked the thermostat again and it was on cool, the fan was ciruclating and I had put the temp at 66 degrees but it was in the 80"s again. I felt the vent and it was blowing hot air. So I turned the unit off. Thinking that maybe it was frozen up. At this time, it was too late to call anyone. During the night, while trying to sleep, I had to get up and open up the windows. I was a single woman, by myself, so with that being said, that really wasn't very safe. The next morning I got up (the fan blew all night long), it was again 87 degrees in the cabin. I called the customer service number the first time, and they sent Tracy out. He was very professional and said that the "receiver"(which may not be the correct term) was stuck on the unit outside between hot and cold. He left and it worked for about an hour and then I started to get ready to go out to eat and when I got out of the shower, it was in the 80's in the cabin again. At this point, I had the windows and doors opened. Again, I AM BY MYSELF in the middle of nowhere, not feeling as safe as I needed to. I called customer service a second time around 5:30ish and she said she would send someone out. I told her they could come in the cabin while I was gone to dinner. I left the cabin at 6:15ish and got back at 9 pm. The AC unit was still not fixed because NO ONE had ever came out. I called the customer service AGAIN 3rd time around 9 or 9:15pm and the lady told me that there was NEVER a request put in when I called the 2nd time. By this time, I was very upset because I came to this cabin to get away from stress and issues. I was excited to get in the hot tub after dinner, but I couldn't because I had to wait on someone to fix the AC unit........AGAIN.......it was almost 11:00 pm by this time and no one had ever shown up. Call number 4 to customer service and the sweet lady told me that she had heard over dispatch or whatever that they were 15 minutes out.....TWO HOURS..........TWO HOURS after I called the 3rd time. I wasted TWO HOURS and they never showed. So, unhappy, YES!! I paid too much money for this to be the way I spent my weekend. I called again on Sunday, when I checked out to tell them I was leaving and to get the trash, told that customer service operator the same story of which she said she was reading the documentation from the other service operators and making her own note and she would have a manager call me. Guess what?? I never got a call from a manager to fix this problem. I WANT MY HARD EARNED MONEY BACK!!!!!

We had some issues when we checked in but management took care of it for us. Maintenance was there in just a matter of few minutes.

Very dissapointed with your company. In almost 1 wks time you did nothink to fix our wi fi knowing we could not even call out or receive calls. You refused to move us to another cabin or refund us so that we may ho elsewhere.It was terrible to stay up in that cabin, with children in an unknown place and have no wi fi for us to connect and be able to make a call in case of emergency. Phone in cabin was not working eumither. If someone rents something then you should honor that. Thats what wr are paying for ! Shame on you guys...
