We had many issues with our cabin
We had many issues with our cabin. Our hot tub broke, was never fixed, and we were offered a whopping 10%rebate. We were asked to call to have people come pick up trash, we did and followed their instructions about when and where to put it, however we still had a bear who made him/herself at home around our cabin because she took our whole trashcan one morning. Gina attempted to make things right, but ultimately still wanted us to pay to stay another night and/or move cabins and stay another night. The maintenance men were great and helpful. I do however, think there is a huge communication issue between dispatch and them. We had to call 3 times one day just to have someone come look at the hot tub. We had kids with us and this put a huge damper on our whole trip. Celebrating birthdays, cancer survival anniversaries, and life after combating PTSD for years, our friends and I have determined we will not return. If we do, we will never rent Moose Manor ever again.

We enjoyed our stay in one of your cabins. The cabin was everything we were looking for and the staff was very friendly. We look forward to coming back and staying in another one of your cabins. I would highly recommend your resort to anyone I know of who is looking to vacation in Gatlinburg.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!
Initially, once we arrived to our Cabin “Rustic Splash” we noticed a few problems with the home. Directly off the front porch was a large amount of garbage. It looked as if someone dumped a bag full of trash and left it in the woods beside the front porch. Once entering the cabin, we noticed the master tub faucet was on. After many attempts to shut the faucet off we came to the conclusion that it was broken. Then, we entered the loft area to play a game of air hockey, which we discovered was destroyed and put back together with several nails and screws. This damage caused for the puck to not be able to enter the scoring goal on either side. Another problem we faced was with the pool. Upon arrival, the pool was noticeably dirty. Several bugs were at the bottom of the pool, as well as a hairband from the tenant before. The pool bathroom toilet was leaking from the bottom, causing us to place a towel on the ground in order for us to use the bathroom. We called maintenance on the first day with the issues. They sent a service man by the name of Emerson to the home to clean the pool, stop the faucet, and clean-up the trash located in the front yard. He arrived and explained to us that the garbage was from a bear and he dismissed the complaint. He cleaned the pool and attempted to fix the master tub without success. The next evening, we attempted to enjoy the pool but the freezing temperature was unbearable! The pool was not heated as the listing and the indoor pool sign stated. On day 3, we called the front desk at Cabins of The Smokies and Kennedy told us that another maintenance individual would be arriving in 2-4 hours. Once the fourth hour had passed, we called again only to be told it would be an additional 2 hours. Once the gentleman arrived, he went in to the maintenance closet and turned the heat on to the indoor pool. He stated to us that the heating element had just been replaced because the previous one wasn’t working, and it would take almost a day to fully warm the pool up to the desired temperature. On the fourth day, the pool felt warmer but still wasn’t up to an enjoyable temperature so we didn’t attempt to enter again. On the last day, several pictures of the cabins issues were taken including the pile of garbage still neglected in the front yard, as well as the ever-running bathtub faucet. This does not include the disgusting air return vent, located in the living room, which was covered in dust. This was not just a vacation, it was our honeymoon. My spouse and I were very frustrated with how the manager Gina, extension 269, offered to give us 10% back from our stay, with that total only coming to $160! Now, this company “values their customers” and “appreciates every call” with an ending of “have a blessed day” but cannot have a cabin ready for tenants upon arrival. We will not recommend this company to anyone we encounter or will we ever decide to use another cabin from the “Cabins of The Smokies” company. It is embarrassing for this company to offer us such a small reimbursement when this was our honeymoon. More money was used for the amenities that the cabin had to offer, but the best amenity, the indoor pool, was pointless due to the freezing temperatures. The service man came the first day we were there and overlooked the pool heater not being turned on! This is advertised online as a heated pool and should’ve been checked by staff. This review not only is being sent to this company, but also being posted on several social media review sites in order to raise awareness of faulty advertising and poor management. My spouse and I want to inform others before they waste their hard earned money with this company. Not only does this company have poor service, when confronted of their faults they only use excuses and offer diminutive refunds.
We stayed at Magic Moments 4th of July…
We stayed at Magic Moments 4th of July week. Supposed to sleep 6-8 but didn’t. Both pull out couch mattresses were worn and flattened badly. You could feel the springs and one was very curved in so no one could sleep on them. My husband wound up sleeping on the couch folded up the whole time so my mother could sleep in the bed. My husband has back problems so not a good vacation. Was going to cook a pizza and checked oven first and there was eggs and biscuits from previous people. So doesn’t make me feel good about cleaning personnel. There were ants in the bathtub. Got in the hot tub by the pool and had so much chlorine it discolored my expensive bathing suit. Called the office and they offered me 15% off my next stay what a joke. Oh and by the way the 15% was if I took my bad review down. I told them I thought they should give me a free weekend but they wouldn’t do it. We have stayed at a different cabin before and no issues but probably won’t stay again.
Excellent Stay
Excellent Stay:
My husband and I stayed from June 23-30th 2019. We were here on our honeymoon, we had a great stay and a great cabin. We rented a one bedroom cabin, everything from the cabin, the customer service of the resort to the quick easy access to downtown and all the beautiful breathtaking views each day was amazing. We had a great time, and will stay again. The only issue we had trouble with was our AC in the cabin, if we were Underneath the powerful ceiling fan in the living room and or bedroom the air was fine in the cabin. Maintenance was sent to fix the AC and found that the ac unit needed freon, they took care of the problem and apologized for the inconvenience. Their customer service team called us everyday to see if we needed anything and to help us any way we could. They even assisted getting us discounted tickets to Dixie Stampede and also the Pirates Voyage shows. I would highly recommend Cabins of the Smoky Mountains. My husband and I had a great time and even stayed an extra night, we were supposed to check out on the 29th. You won't be disappointed. Upon checkout they gave us a $200 credit for our inconvenience of the AC problem during the week. My husband and I will be staying again.
SCAM COMPANY
It’s a scam company. I paid $1,429.98 in March to rent a cabin in July. They just called me Friday night informing me the cabin was sold. They will not refund my money and state they can only give me credit towards another cabin. I have had to hire a lawyer in Tennessee to sue them. STAY AWAY!
Honor what you post on your site!!!!!!!
We booked with Cabins of the Smoky Mountains because of the ticket packages they were offering....Dollywood tickets...buy one get 2nd day free. When we arrived and tried to get the tickets they said the special was not available any longer and they were in the process of getting it off the website. I told them that they needed to honor what the site said and they refused..saying the Dollywood was not offering this any longer and so they could not either. They did not offer anything as a substitute or anything! This was a $300 MESS UP on their part! Also, the cabin that we stayed in was in need of serious maintenance..electric box uncovered, blinds broken and stove handle broken off. Bottom line you find a way to honor what you advertise! We WILL NOT be staying with them again!!

Worst cabin in 18 years
Old, worn, dusty. Broken doors. Cigarette butts and trash all around the exterior.
Fence rail along parking area unstable.
Entry code was incorrect. Took an hour and 2 calls to finally get in.
Showers look like a 1920s hunting cabin.

I left this message privately to Cabins of the Smoky Mountain email without receiving a response. Now I will wait for the standard response of call us we would like to talk to you. When I sent this email public. Why did they not call or contact me??
"Dear Cabins of the Smoky Mountains, We have stayed in your larger cabins for 6+ family vacations. This stay was not what we expected with the cabin we vacationed in this year for $4,700+ dollars. It seems like each time we stay, the cabins deteriorate with each visit. Not the structure but the maintaining and supplying the (furnished) cabins. Reserving, checking in, guest service people entering service request, and maintenance staff were as expected. Very courteous. It sounded like maintenance are short staffed when talking to them. When we plan our next Gatlinburg family trip we have to count on the cabins improving and not deteriorating. Several family members have requested we look around next time. We really enjoy the cabin's feel and looks. The management company dropped the ball this time. Below is what we experienced with the stay from 6/23/19 to 6/27/19. Parkview Palace was the cabin. Our maintenance calls should be documented. We have pictures of the cake batter oven glass, pulled away handrail, and inexpensive microwave, and others, should you want to see them. No lower bathroom door jam or door lock for the Jack and Jill shared bedrooms. We had boys and girls sharing. (1) Kitchen dishcloth for 20+ people. Who checks for missing furnishings in the cabins? No mixing bowls. No large pans. Cheap glassware in kitchen. Several cracked wine glasses in the cabinet when we arrived. Cake batter dripping between the oven glass doors. It would take maintenance 30 to clean. Why did we have to see that? 3rd floor air conditioner did not work first day. Media room equipment did not play movies when we arrived. Main banister from parking up to cabin was pulled out of main post. Too short of screws used. The big microwave we should have had was gutted with the nasty frame left and a $79 microwave sitting in the void?? 1st floor shower drain leaked all over our lower level guest restroom and their restroom items and clothes from home. Lower hot tub heater was broken. We were told we would not be charged a cleaning fee. Broken glass found in upper hot tub when a family member sat on it. She did not get cut. Upper hot tub water did not smell fresh or had any chlorine smell. It had a dirty smell to it. Mold growing in the 1st floor jacuzzi tub nozzles. 3rd floor tv remote had no cover or batteries. Long black curly hair found in restroom from previous occupant. Smoke alarm low battery chirping in cabin. Could have just started? Broken wine cork puller. Short (2) rocking chairs on balconies. Lower restroom fan not working. Lower restroom lavatory pulling away from wall. No coupons in cabin for the Gatlinburg attractions like years in the past. WIFI only works near lower level. 2nd and 3rd floor WIFI connections would disconnect. We had to switch to our personal data. Last week we felt like we shared our family vacation with your maintenance staff. It should have been just for us. Our sleeping kids were wakened while maintenance made repairs. I have not seen our hot tub cleaning credit yet. How do we get that back?"
Do not ever waste your time or money…
Do not ever waste your time or money with this so called company. We checked in to Dolly’s Hideaway on Wednesday, July 3, 2019. We had reservations to stay 4 nights. Upon arrival, the door downstairs was unlocked, the grass hadn’t been mowed in at least two weeks, there was dirt all over the floor, cobwebs everywhere, and dirt on the couch and kitchen table. After unloading the vehicle we went upstairs to find mold all over the ceiling. We found pistachios on the counter from the last visitors and crumbs in the counter from the last visitors.
There were no pot holders in the cabin and no dish cloths either.
The inspector came out and confirmed it was mold. We called the manager and she said we could only refund everything but the deposit. We told her no it would be every dime because this was not our choice.
We were refunded everything. But for a company to not want to try and make things better for a family of 4 staying over a holiday weekend, they are wrong. Any other company would have bent over backwards to make sure their customers were happy. Needless to say, we now have to travel home at 9pm with 2- two year olds. This company sucks.
In response to your response, you are lying. You were not going to refund all of my “monies” until my husband got on the phone and had to threaten to take your company to court because your management was trying to say we can’t refund the deposit. Another lie. And then I went down to the office and one of your employees did tell me you have an 8 bedroom cabin available. Why didn’t you offer this to me? Why did you tell me you had nothing left?
You ruined a family vacation and I will make sure everyone I know is aware of this.

Our cabin was wonderful
Our cabin was wonderful. All the office personnel were helpful and accommodating. Only a slight problem with initially trying to enter cabin..dead batteries on the door lock but was quickly resolved. Would recommend this place for a great stay in Gatlinburg..close to everything but secluded enough to be out of the hustle and bustle.
Family vacation ruinedby bed…
Family vacation ruined by bed bugs.....we booked months in advance and was kookin forward to our family vacation. When we arrived the cabin wasnt ready at check in time and it took over a hour for it to be ready. We drove 8 hours and had no cabin ready at check in. We stayed in aqua paradise.tje rugs were filthy and after the first night my daughter got bit by bed bugs. We informed the front desk and the first thing the lady said was " there arw no refunds" before we could even come to a resolution. I will never visit the smoky mountains again. We cut our vacation short and came home trying to prevent bringing bed bugs home. They did issue a refund after it was all said and done....NEVER AGAIN

I am woefully disappointed and have not…
I am woefully disappointed and have not even checked into the cabin. My cabin was fully paid for with all associated agreements signed and completed. It is 30 minutes after my scheduled check-in time and the reservation company will still not release the address for me to arrange a grocery pickup. I did not request check in code and I am several states away and not even to the airport yet. This is not a security issue. This is poor policy which I challenged and challenged and still find absurd. You will soon find your company out of business Venture Resorts if you cannot move into the 20th century and your supervisors are belligerent.

Buyer beware
Buyer beware! Prior to booking our cabin, I did my research. I read many great reviews about this company and their rentals, but our experience was truly awful. We booked the Sweet Surrender cabin for 5 days about a month in advance. When we arrived the cabin was over 80 degrees and the AC was broken. They were obviously aware of this fact because they installed 3 or 4 portable AC units in the cabin. These units were noisy and took up a lot of space. The cords and drainage tubes from these machines were laid across the floor and then taped to the window. The unit in the bathroom actually blocked access to the sink. In addition to the AC issues, the hot tub was filthy and smelled rotten, there was mold under the sink, and the TVs didn’t receive any channels. We asked for a different cabin and the staff advised us that they were full, so we then asked for a refund. We were denied. The gentleman actually said,”you’re free to leave but we will not refund your money.” Seriously? By the end of the night we reached out to two additional managers and the GM. Finally (after 2 days of debate) they agreed to refund our money.
This site does not allow pictures, but feel free to check my review on Trip Advisor so you can see for yourself.
On a positive note, we found a great little lodge down the road with an amazing staff that saved our vacation.
Cross your T’ and dot your I’s
I booked my cabin far in advance and over the last few months I called 13 times to go over details as I am very thorough. Was told several times check in was at 3 even though the rules stated 4. We got in at 4:30.The desk guy told us new people give out wrong info. We arrived and the cabin was nothing like the website pictured. I was so upset. Floor was falling in. AC was broken. Hot tub didn’t work. Back deck was dirt. Not deck at all. Theater room had no projector. Etc... Talked to several people and all they seemed to want to do was apologize. Sent out maintenance 2 times and housekeeping 1 time and then an inspector. Problems that were very unsafe and couldn’t be fixed fast. We were told nothing was available to be moved to. We finally went to bed around midnight. 6 am the next morning just out of curiosity I called reservations and acted like I wanted to make last minute reservations. There were 4 cabins available. I was so angry. I asked to talk to the manager and told her what I did. They finally moved us about noon. The second cabin was absolutely gorgeous. Longer story short, we were reimbursed for our first night. I’m still salty we lost a whole day dealing with BS. All in all our vacation was good after we got settled. Do your homework, ask tons of questions. I know now what I need to ask and see. They offered us 20% off next time we book. We will. We love Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. They made it right in the end so they deserved a second chance.

Great times in Gatlinburg.
The cabins at Gatlinburg Falls are always top
notch. Unfortunately this time there were a few problems. The biggest was the TVs were not working. I called and the TV reception was not going to be back until the next day. Still was not back yet. We were without any tv for 2 of the 4 days we were there. There was a problem with a fiber optic cable. Other than that we have had a great time every time we have stayed at Gatlinburg Falls. We have stayed there in various cabins for the last 6 years.
NIce Location and Plenty of Amenities
The cabin was located in a location which is central to all of the activities in the area. The cabin was really nice but was certainly ready for an update. The carpet on the main floor living room was worn and dirty and the bathrooms are ready for a paint refresh. The front porch is also ready for a refreshed paint job. The cabin had many very nice amenities such as video and pinball games. The hot tub was also very nice and we enjoyed the very large rear porches (one on each level of the cabin). Overall, a nice experience.

A few hiccups because DVD and PlayStation missing in movie room but the cabin was beautiful, clean and maintenance was helpful with items requested.
We had a nice stay.
We had a nice stay. Inside of cabin was clean. The spider webs on back porch really needs broomed off at same time cabin is cleaned. All jets in both inside and outside jacuzzi n hot tub did not work. We had to change spots every so often to get the full effect. Extra towels for the jacuzzi would he nice. We have already spotted a different cabin (newer built) for next stay. Didnt get to see any black bears this time.
