We moved into a new build March 2025
We moved into a new build March 2025. Camel Glass had fitted all the windows & exterior doors. The doors & windows are of a high quality. Recently we had a couple of minor issues regarding the operation of a couple of windows & a set of French doors. Sent an email to Andy, which was answered promptly. Andy arranged for fitters to come within a couple of days. Danny & his colleague (apologies I forget his name), arrived on time & made some minor adjustments. They were friendly & polite, they asked if there were any other issues (which there wasn't). Great job & reassuring that they were there when we needed them.

Reglazing French doors
For a window repair
We had a glazed panel in a door that had blown. It was still under guarantee. The replacement process was really simple, the replacement panel arrived within three weeks. The two gentlemen who came to fit it did a great job, very quick and also gave the set of doors a full going over oiling all the hinges and adjusting the doors to ensure perfect operation. They also sorted an issue we had with another door while they were here. All completed without mess or disturbance. Excellent job and I will definitely recommend Camel Glass. Thank you!

Excellent service in an emergency
Needed a large glass door with shattered glass made safe quickly - Camel Glass responded very quickly, and had someone on site who was able to implement a temporary fix to make it safe.
They then provided a replacement that was a perfect match to the existing large panes.
The fitter (Jimmy & Brad) were extremely polite and helpful, and left the place spotless.
I could not recommend Camel Glass Barnstaple enough. Well done.

Poor service
Poor service. Contacted them twice to request quote and was advised they would call back, they didn’t. Called again and managed to speak to someone who said they could help and apologised that nobody had returned my call. They booked a fitter to come around to look at property and work that needed doing 2 weeks later. Received an email a week after this saying that they would not be able to quote for work due to current work load and lead time. If they had been upfront at the beginning, advised they were too busy to do work and given some names of alternative companies to contact, this would have been better customer service than waiting for 3 weeks then being told they couldn’t help. This gave me a poor impression of the company.

After reviewing your enquiry with the branch team, I understand this related to a 15-year-old conservatory that is leaking. Unfortunately, due to the nature of remedial repairs on older conservatories and the risk of ongoing issues, this isn’t work we are able to take on. Our decision was made to avoid causing further problems for you rather than from a lack of willingness to help.
That said, we fully accept this should have been communicated clearly from the outset. The delay in confirming this left you with a poor impression, and for that we sincerely apologise.
While we can’t offer a repair in this instance, we would of course be happy to provide a quotation for a replacement if that were something you would like to explore.
Thank you again for your feedback, we are now reviewing how we handle enquiries of this kind so that we can be more upfront and, where possible, provide customers with alternative guidance sooner.

The staff at Camel on the whole have been amazing!!
The staff at Camel have been most helpful, after an initial hiccup they were most efficient in sorting it and getting it resolved very quickly and to a high standard. Adam was very professional and a conscientious worker always making sure I was happy with the work being carried out and that it was of a high standard, and his manner and cleanliness were exceptional, a true credit to the company!!
