What a bunch of money-grabbing leeches
What a bunch of money-grabbing leeches. I have been unable to pay my compensation check into the bank due to the COVID 19 outbreak and Canary Claims have already started bullying and threatening me with court action.

Approached Canary claims in Feb 2018
Approached Canary claims in Feb of 2018, they asked for a list of companies we thought we might have had PPI with, despite being told they only needed our name and address and the name of a company we may have had PPI with, more questionaires followed asking for employment history etc, and It was june before anything actually started, September before any companies "responded". In October 2018 we received the first refund, and paid the invoice from Canary Claims, the last of the claims to respond was Egg, Canada Square, who upheld the claim but said they were sending the funds to my "insolvency practitioner", I informed Canary Claims, who said they would pass it to their legal department for clarification. That was in Nov 2018, I have since had to contact both my "insolvency practitioner" and Egg Canada Square Myself to trace the funds, Canary Claims have done nothing, except send an invoice and 2 reminders, after contacting Canary claims the reminders were stopped and to date, we have still received no funds from Egg Canada Square. We had to pursue this claim ourselves with no input form Canary Claims, we obtained a letter of no interest from our Insolvancy pracitioner, and are still trying to retrieve funds from Egg Canada Square. with no help from Canary Claims.
Despite filing all claims on the same day, in 2018, it was Aug 2019 before a claim was sent to Direct Line, we then received an update in Dec 2019 telling us that because of the deadline date of 29th Aug 2019, there were delays in claims ( we started the claim in Jan 2018). In Feb 2020, we got an email from Canary Claims that Direct line had not found any PPI on our account, then in late Feb 2020 we received a letter from Direct Line stating that a claim had been upheld in our favour and we informed Canary Claims, who immediately sent out an Invoice on 3rd March 2020 demanding payment, we still had not received any funds from RBS, and told them this, On 7th April 2020 we received a second reminder, again we replied telling them we had not received any fund yet, and today 14th April 2020 a third and final reminder, demanding payment within 7 days or legal action will be taken and an additional charge of £202.49 will be added. Absolutely disgusted with this company.
Absolute joke of a company
Absolute joke of a company , didn't even register my complaint and then had the nerve to tell me company couldn't find any PPI on account, have had to deal with myself
I spoke to Capital One myself today and you never even contacted them at any point, they have no record of any correspondence with you and it's only my second review lol and I did have PPI on my account as Capital One confirmed it to me today but rejected my claim as it was past the deadline as I had to try myself after going through your company well before the PPI deadline. An excel file does not prove contact

Terrible company - Honestly, pay a little extra and use a company you can trust
Terrible company. i started a PPI claim in May and had no correspondence from them until 2nd September (2 days after the deadline) sending me my documents back with a cover letter explaining they had made copies of what they needed. After phoning them up today to check the status of the claim they then say they sent me a letter in July (which i never received) that they wouldn't be handling my case. The poor communication has literally cost me thousands. The website advised you to contact them through email for updates due to the high volume of calls but my emails through August went unanswered. I am absolutely furious about all this and can't believe a company this poor is in business
**EDIT** They also lie in their replies on here. Looking at other reviews, that seems to be a common occurrence.
Kamran Mirshahi - For what it's worth, i searched through my emails on the chance i had missed it and there is no reply. I also never emailed you on 20th August. I also went through my post last night as i keep everything for 12 months and there is no letter from your company with the exception of the one i received on 2nd September.
I have no reason to lie about this, something you are hinting at. I'm just giving an honest review about a very poor experience with your company.
An edit to keep my review honest:
Turns out they copied down my email incorrectly and "allegedly" emailed the wrong account. They can provide no evidence of this except a forwarded email which can be typed out easily enough, and a scanned version of my documents with my email printed wrong. Even though the form sent out to me was completely blank and I hand-written my email on it. They also claimed to have sent me 2 letters, one on 17th July and one on 13th September, which I also haven't received (they accuse me of lying about this, as if I have anything to gain?). I'm inclined to believe they just dont follow through on claims if they dont have the time to do them.

AVOID / UPDATED 28th MAY 2019
AVOID / UPDATED 28TH MAY 2019 - They don't respond to you, very rude and shout at you. It has gone well over the 40 day response period. They threaten you with charges if you go with another company. I'm will go direct now. UPDATE: I stayed with them as they threatened me again.
They were still incompetent and put my personal information at risk after being a victim of identity theft. When it stated clearly on my file not to give out certain information (this wouldn't stop the claims). So now a concern of data breach. They never forwarded paperwork so I never received it to complete. I had to resolve the situation directly with the banks myself in the end and they still wanted their fee. I've been fair and said they can have 50% of the fee and not heard back from them. I'm more than happy to proceed to small claims court after legal advice as it gives me the opportunity to raise data protection for going against what was clear on my file but they ignored.
Looking up the reviews, company house records and Linkedin it raises concerns with the multiple companies related to this company and have disolved or been part of. There is no clarity on this company. Look at the Google Reviews and it's the same comments, no communication, don't respond. Yet the Owner says you receive "Email, SMS, Letter" every time .. I never did, nor did others. Look at the address on google maps - self storage warehouse. The response below is not true, read other reviews .. they don't email you, text you. My last two emails asked where client data is kept and confirm the offi e address, which I never received a response for. I have sent my complaint to the Financial Ombudsman now as had enough.

Bizarre
Bizarre. I rang their number to start a PPI claim. An automated voice announced they are open 5 days a week, to contact them online, then the phone went dead. Do they want business?!

Office closed for lunch. No-one to cover phones.
At 13:05 I called to discuss the possibility of raising a PPI claim. The outgoing message states "Thank you for calling Canary Claims. We are on lunch between 12:30 to 1:30. Please call back after 1:30". You can't even leave a message for a call back. The line goes dead. Seriously, who does this nowadays?? Doesn't anyone cover phones anymore??
