Terrible service so far

Found a car on there website, went through the ordering process received the contracts, all good up until payment, they wanted a bank transfer of the full amount, no protection is offered from high street banks for transfers.. I contacted them, the girl on the phone really couldn’t care less that I wasnt comfortable paying this way.. I offered to drive to see the car and do the transfer once I’d seen the car wasn’t a con.. they refused to let me see the car, told me I can’t see the car, test drive the car anything just gotta transfer them 12k and hope they’re genuine and deliver my car that could be in any condition as I can’t see it... someone’s calling me Monday for a FaceTime appointment, seems very professional!

experience. The good news is that we are currently looking into alternative payment
methods and have something in the pipe line for the near future.

We have a selection of cars that are sold through the store with the rest of our cars available online. We launched our virtual appointments a few weeks ago to enable customers to have a ‘virtual tour’ of a car before buying, enabling a 1 on 1 with the car and ask any questions that you may have with our helpful advisers in a safe manner.

Finally, all of our cars come with a 14 day money back guarantee and if purchased online free home delivery, giving you comfort that if anything is wrong with the vehicle you can return it.

I'm sorry that we couldn't provide you with an alternative payment method, on this occasion. We hope that you would consider buying with us in the future.

Beyond disappointed

Fantastic car was available which I went and viewed. Awesome condition. I reserved online and was told I could have the car by that Saturday. Great. Really looking forward to it. I then asked for the service history... this is where it started to go downhill, fast. A long story short, they had lost the service history. Two stressful days of me chasing it all up (as they didn’t contact me numerous times when they said they would), and countless conversations with multiple people, including an at length conversation with a manager when I got hold of them, was all to no avail. They were incredibly uncooperative, and flat out said “This car does not, and will not, come with any service history” and offered a measley £300 discount. I stated that the discount was insufficient, and that I’d rather pay full price for the car anyway if they could source the SH from THEIR OWN leasing company to which they acquired the car from. I even sent a last ditch email to try and sort SOMETHING out, but was firmly ignored. The car, after being made unavailable as was not suitable for their 1 owner, full service history policy, has now since been made available again at full price, and one is to assume the SH has been located? Anyway, they have not been in touch to inform me of this, despite being actively trying to purchase this car multiple times.

All in all, for a new company, a really really poor experience after what looked like a promising new place to purchase from; Their photography and detailing on the cars was fantastic, with a slick website design and great returns policy/guarantee. But the fact that they were a shambles with me, with utterly abysmal service from their representatives and their management, means I will openly not recommend them going forward. Wasted a lot of time trying to buy from them, and they don’t give two hoots.

Frustrated & Humiliated by CarNext.com

I have just purchased a Merc through Carnext, & I have been subjected to torture since its arrival. The car was filthy, with vomit stains in the back, the car had no electric cable to charge it (it’s a plug in hybrid), the car’s sat nav did not work amongst loads of other issues, and best of all the car was delivered with the pre check 282 checklist but for a Lexus CT! I was flabbergasted & raised my concerns immediately. They collected the car & assured me they will address these issues, and it’s been 6 days, & no word from them. I call every single day and raise my concerns and complain & insist on speaking to a manager. I have been ignored & have not been contacted by any of them, let alone a manager. Am unable to function without a car, cannot get on the road for meetings. There is a blatant communication problem and I’m shocked that management has ignored my numerous calls and requests. I’m frustrated by their unprofessional communication & am tempted to return the car, however I will be at a loss without a car & will then need to wait another 2 weeks minimum for my money back.
I have threatened to put a review up and threatened to return the car, but they seem unaffected and relaxed in their approach to my issue.

Poor quality.Avoid

Poor!! Typical car supermarket type place! Looked to buy a car, via this “new online only” way. I’m always thorough with checking out the cars before hand but wasn’t even allowed to see this one as it’s “their policy for online only cars”, anyway I found that a service regarding the gearbox had not been done at the correct mileage or at all, as it’s semi auto they need to be done for various reasons. They just kept lying saying it was done, couldn’t provide evidence of it, I had evidence it wasn’t from the main dealer where it was serviced at and clearly stated in the service book it hadn’t been done either! They couldn’t be bothered to work around this, it’s “our policy” “that’s the price of the car take it or leave it” SO THEY ARE BASICALLY SELLING A CAR LISTED AS FULL SERVICE HISTORY, WHICH IS INCORRECT ON TO AN UNSUSPECTING MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC WHO MIGHT NOT BE AWARE or as thorough as myself, then might end up in big difficulties regarding warranty as effectively if the service isn’t carried out to the manufacturers requirements then if it was to go ‘bang’ then I doubt the warranty would cover the issue. After reading reviews people have reported similar problems and that the after service is awful too. Thank god I didn’t go through with it! You pay for what you get for remember!

Update: after being promised that everything would be perfect and done....guess what....not even breathed on. Lied to from start to finish...I feel sorry for Lily the advisor I dealt with, who was actually very good, but unfortunately it’s the awful awful company and the third party logistics company around her that let her and carnext.com down. Just a bunch of cowboys if you ask me.
I went against my own rules buying from such a place (car supermarkets) just falling for the lower price, and I paid for it in wasted time and frustration! These sort of people continue to tarnish the motor industry.
Always see the car in person first (which these don’t do) and go to a proper dealer that has a reputation, even if it’s a bit more money, this way your keeping smaller businesses in business than these larger ones doing it all wrong!
I hope the shabby directors see the pages of reviews coming through and pull their fingers out their behinds and sort their business out for the good. Just shocking how they operate.

A really good service

I really recommend CarNext.com. It was my first time buying a car from an internet sight so I was a bit apprehensive but the whole process was very easy with great customer service every step of the way.
My car was delivered to my house on my selected day in immaculate condition and I’m very pleased with it. 5 stars!

Amazing Work

Great car and service provided

I recently bought a car from CarNext.com and couldn’t be happier. The car was delivered to my door in great condition and the whole process was really quick and easy. I found the car I wanted and within a couple of days had it sitting outside. At first I was a bit apprehensive about buying a car I hadn’t seen but they allow you up to 14 days to return it in which case they come and collect it and refund the money. The staff were always really helpful and I would definitely recommend CarNext.

Time wasters and havnt a clue about their own business

Reserved a car online until it come to paying for it, a major high street bank doesn’t recognise them as a trusted dealer and doesn’t do business with them, typical poor customer service several unreturned phone calls, wasted a week before speaking to someone else in their office who stated oh no we don’t take direct bank transfers!! You should have been told that at the start! Sales people haven't got a clue about their own business, lots of oh I’m not sure I’ll speak to a manager and get back to you, of course they never did! I had to keep ringing them, wastes a week of my time before saying they couldn’t do a direct bank transfer, probably so you take their high rate HP. I’d be concerned a major high street bank doesn’t recognise them as a trusted dealer!!
