My husband purchased an 18 ct white gold Dianond Halo Engagement ring which is 2 cts in 2007, it’s still as beautiful as the day I received it . It was the only one they had in the store. And I’m sure the price tag was the wrong one as he paid only £900 for it .
Awful service from arrogant shop assistants
Visited Chapelle store in Braintree village today. I bought a diamond ring a couple of years ago (which I am happy with) and came back here enquiring if they provide repair services as one of the small diamonds fell out. It was not under warranty which was fine and I was happy to pay to replace a diamond. Two arrogant shop assistants with unhappy faces were reluctant to help as soon as they heard I came for repair and not to buy anything. Absolutely useless, unable to provide a quote for a repair, or even make an effort to contact someone (jeweller, I would think) to get an estimate cost. Why on earth are these people employed? Appalling! Will never ever buy anything from them again and would not recommend anyone else to shop with these people. Only if you come in flashing cash they may smile to you and switch on a 'nice mode', otherwise -typical UK customer service - non existent! If these people were not paid hourly but were purely on commissions, I would love to see their faces then.

Yes I do understand Chapelles return policy as stated on their website that if the delivery name/address is different to the card that paid for it then refunds can not be made in store & have to be sent back to head office for the refund to be processed but I was told I could not leave the item in the store & it would be impossible for them to accept my return because the manager isn't there..lol
Previous to this I'd spoken to head office of Chapelle & was instructed by a very nice chap to take the item to store and they would give me some kind of receipt & they would send it to head office in the next van going there, took half a day off work, drove there in the rain during rush hour, paid for parking to be spoken to & treated like a complete & utter idiot, was absolutely furious when leaving there.. please don't waste your time or money with the Wembley store-go elsewhere & save yourself the headache..
The woman I dealt with was called Clara & she definitely needs retraining in customer services & could really brush up on her manors & personal skills when dealing with customers, absolute vile woman who i'd sack instantly if it was my company!
On a brighter note, when contacting customer services they were lovely to speak to & deal with and can't fault their attitude or professionalism & fully understood where I was coming from & resolved my problem...
Avoid Wembley store at all costs absolute joke of a store with horrible unfriendly staff!!!!

They found him something in his price range and treated him like any other customer. Very pleased with our visit today and left with a beautiful gift

The manager was arrogant.
I bought my wife a gold bracelet for Christmas.
He blushed the next day.
Of course I went to complain.
The saleswoman took the bracelet somewhere back.
After five minutes, the manager arrived.
She returned the bracelet and said it was scratched.
She didn't have gloves.
I told her my wife didn't wear it and she scratched it.
She then called a security guard who took us (me, my wife and my 8-year-old son) out of the store.
Of course, I will throw legal action.
I work hard and I don't want to give my money for a poor quality product.
I do not recommend this store 😓
The worst experience
We bought our wedding rings from this company and unfortunately after only 9 months diamonds fell out of my band. These rings were platinum and expensive. I was told that this is not a manufacturing fault, that is beyond repair and also it happened because I wear it every day. Funny enough, they recommended to buy platinum as they last a long time! I tried to complain several times, but sadly nobody bothered to reply to me.

Inferior, sub standard jewellery at ridiculously inflated prices. Completely unhelpful when after 1 week of wearing, a £239 (sale price) gold bangle got caught on a woolen sweater because of an obvious design fault, buckled and is now completely damaged beyond repair. Where do it start?!
Where do it start! Our rings got lost in transit and had to wait weeks before we received them. Then when my husband put his ring on we realised it was far too big, even though the shop ring sizer fit perfectly. Changed the ring size manager said to go for the bigger size, yet was STILL too big. Went back to have this one resized and came back without the work done, so had to send it back AGAIN! Whilst in there two other people were also in store, one with a watch/battery not working and another whose earrings were broken!
My wedding ring lost a stone after 8 weeks of wear so had to go back to the shop yet again to have this fixed.
Stay well away from this company- apparently they’re linked to F.Hinds, yet they have raving reviews! Maybe all the dud jewellery gets sent to Chappelle!

Terrible Service
Refunded a necklace and was given a gift card to now be told the gift card is invalid at no fault of my own but nobody that works for this company will help resolve the situation even though you have issued the refund on to a gift card as proven by the receipt we provided you.
Hilary from the Nottingham designer outlet store was extremely rude and unhelpful on the phone, promised she would speak to Jeremy Hinds and he would be in touch which never happened.
I was then left a snotty voicemail to contact customer services to be dealt with by the most least compassionate arrogant gentleman I have ever come across in customer service Chris Kelly.
(Reading through previous comments it seems this is a common opinion)
I will never use any company within the F Hinds brand again and encourage everyone else to do the same. They need to invest in some serious customer service skills all around to keep there high street shops open in this day in age.
Had anyone of your staff been the slightest bit compassionate or sorry about the situation or if the director had bothered to have the decency to pick up the phone and ring us himself seen as everyone was apparently feeding back his information, we may have accepted what has happened more lightly.
The whole situation from start to finish has been nothing but diabolical and I would be ashamed to work for any company that thinks this is acceptable.

James Castleford Chapelle
I live in Manchester, my partner purchased a ring from Chapelle at the Lowry but unfortunately it is now closed.
My engagement ring broke, I was told that chapelle was no longer a company and I had to take it to F. Hinds. I went to the Trafford center one, they were so unhelpful and I was told it couldn't be fixed. After doing research I found that Chapelle does exist! (owned by F Hinds) so I called the shop in Castleford. From the first second James the manager was absolutely fantastic! James has such a nice way about him and extremely good at customer service. I sent my ring off, it was fixed and sent back to me. It looks like new! I'm so pleased. F Hinds/ Chapelle you have one good manager there!
My 5 star review is for chapelle Castleford NOT for F. Hinds their customer service is not good, especially the guy on the phone in customer services!

Bought a chain for a pendant white 9ct gold £173.99 when I got home the chain wouldn’t go through the loop of my pendent I returned to the shop to exchange it they didn’t have anything suitable I asked for a refund and was told they would give me a gift card I said I wasn’t being awkward but I needed a chain and they didn’t have one I said I should have been told about the fact that don’t have a refund policy it’s not on any notices in the shop or on the receipt I wouldn’t have made the purchase had I known I would never shop there again and I would advise that no one else does either

Visited your store at the Springfield Outlet. I was enquiring about one of your diamond eternity rings the sales assistant was not interested and did not seem to be able to answer even the simplest question I couldn’t work out whether it was complete apathy or a mixture of apathy and lack of training won’t be returning. Managed to get the ring I needed in Ernest Jones who were far more helpful, spent £4000 which in this day and age your staff should be chasing!
I would never ever shop with you
I would never ever shop with your company again, first of all your store never explained the non refund policy when my boyfriend was buying a necklace, he expressed his concerns that it may not be suitable but felt pressured into buying the necklace from the store without them explaining he could not get a refund on the item. Then tried to return the item as the necklace was tarnished and too small, when the store explained that we could not get a refund we asked did they have another necklace to compare it to and potentially exchange, they were hesitant to answer the question implying that they had no necklaces left. They then offered to order in a longer necklace (not complete necklace and pendant just necklace) so I could see if this was better for the pendant and said they would call me by Friday 4th (yesterday) and still no call! So now we are left with a tarnished necklace that is too small with no option for return! My boyfriend has already tried emailing you regarding this issue but has not had a response. The lack of customer service from your company is ridiculous and to pressure a customer into buying an item that could not be refunded and not actually explaining this to them before the transaction had gone through is utterly shocking.

Placed an order online, and completed with an order number. I have not received a confirmation EMail, and when logging into my account it shows no orders. I contact my credit card company, and the confirmed payment had been authorised.
No idea how an order number can be given payment taken yet no order confirmation or record of it in my account.

Not fit for purpose ring
The short version: bought a ring with my father's inheritance after his passing. It fell apart after 4 days. Sent it back and was told (after a lengthy wait) it was faulty. Wasn't offered a refund but to exchange or take guft card. Took gift card amd waited until I saw something else I wanted. Bought ring no.2 which then also broke (corner of clasp had snapped off). Was told it had to be sent off again. This time it came back as accidental damage even tho I had explained was only worn for meals out etc. Told I'd have to pay £40 to have it fixed. Debated my rights and never got the call backs promised, never spoke to an actual manager as she was always hiding out back. Awful customer service. In the end after much debate, I was offered the ring fix for free. Picked it up today (after being told they'd send it to my home add for inconvenience) and it is snagging on EVERYTHING so I can't wear it for fear of it breaking. This is NOT fit for purpose and I am no better off as I can't take it out of the box!! Do look around if you want quality and customer service.
