My original review is as below, I thought to update following an incorrect reply by Charitystars.
Following my poor review, I was contacted by Charitystars the next day, and asked what the issue was. This by the same individual apparently dealing with my issue already, not a good start.
Following this I was told I'll get an update at the end of the week or a refund, the end of the week arrived, no contact, no refund. The following week I was again told the same. After this I contacted the charity which donated the item directly, things got a lot quicker almost instantly. With regard to a refund, I could have done this through my credit card, I don't know why Charitystars are acting as though they are doing me a favour, I would have preferred the item.
I also have never received an explanation as to what actually happened.
I have however been hounded continuously to change my review to positive over and over again. My experience has not been positive, Why would I say as such?
They are inconsistent, that is a fact I have found with various purchases.
Things do go wrong, it happens to all companies, simply contacting people and replying should be a standard.
Poor communication and poor handling of the non-delivery, it shows as not even collected on tracking, I don't see how it was lost in transit.
If you applied the same effort to dealing with your customers as you do with harassing them to alter negative reviews, you'll be on to a winner.
****Charitystars are incredibly inconsistent and unreliable.
I have bought a number of items over the last couple of years amounting into the thousands of pounds.
The quality differs wildly, in both accuracy of product description but more importantly fulfilment and delivery.
I have had to wait way over the headline delivery times on more than one occasion. Currently I am waiting for an item I won in an auction at the beginning of December, with customer service representatives not responding in reasonable timeframes if at all.
I have been told twice that an official complaint has been placed and given a timeframe il hear back by with no further information given. Quite unbelievably part way through an email conversation trail I was ignored for two weeks then told it had gone into a spam folder. This does not happen when part way through an email trail.
Unfortunately I’ll have to go through my bank for a charge back with this item.
If you buy multiple items, the postage will be charged individually but the items bundled, this excess will not be given to the charities.
Valuations are very much overpriced unjustifiably.
I would advise against using charitystars if you want something within a timeframe. Or indeed want to be certain it is genuine.
All in all, it’s a great idea, executed in a dishonest and disorganised manner

Overall I am very pleased with my experience with the ladies at Charity Stars.
Martina - Whilst she has moved to a different department, was always helpful and carried out the telephone calls when I asked. Always finding me a solution.
Tiffany/Carlotta/Dalia - Each of these ladies have helped me with multiple lots and the effort they put in with assisting me (even though I am sometimes demanding) are truly incredible people and deserve to work the this great company.
Kirsty - Always on hand to help me when required and has a fast response time when needing some urgent helps.
All in all a 5* performance from these wonderful people named and no job is ever too big, despite turnaround times being needed at speed on occasion.
I wish to say a big thank you to you all and look forward to continued unloading of my large collection for good causes.

I have emailed you about this but you emailed me saying that there is nothing you can find or nothing you can do. Gee am I surprised, NO I'm not but I'm writing this in hopes that this doesn't happen again to anyone else.

They charged me €30 for shipping a…
They charged me €30 for shipping a jersey from Italy to Ireland and made me pay a buyers fee of €30.... The Jersey cost €60, so in total it ended up costing me €120. They only tell you the "minimum" cost, whish was €10 for the buyers fee and €15 for the shipping. Since it was an auction I was stuck with the fees and now own a overpriced jersey. Don't buy of them you won't know how much you will be paying.
