Charitystars are not to be trusted

My original review is as below, I thought to update following an incorrect reply by Charitystars.

Following my poor review, I was contacted by Charitystars the next day, and asked what the issue was. This by the same individual apparently dealing with my issue already, not a good start.
Following this I was told I'll get an update at the end of the week or a refund, the end of the week arrived, no contact, no refund. The following week I was again told the same. After this I contacted the charity which donated the item directly, things got a lot quicker almost instantly. With regard to a refund, I could have done this through my credit card, I don't know why Charitystars are acting as though they are doing me a favour, I would have preferred the item.
I also have never received an explanation as to what actually happened.
I have however been hounded continuously to change my review to positive over and over again. My experience has not been positive, Why would I say as such?
They are inconsistent, that is a fact I have found with various purchases.
Things do go wrong, it happens to all companies, simply contacting people and replying should be a standard.
Poor communication and poor handling of the non-delivery, it shows as not even collected on tracking, I don't see how it was lost in transit.
If you applied the same effort to dealing with your customers as you do with harassing them to alter negative reviews, you'll be on to a winner.

****Charitystars are incredibly inconsistent and unreliable.
I have bought a number of items over the last couple of years amounting into the thousands of pounds.
The quality differs wildly, in both accuracy of product description but more importantly fulfilment and delivery.
I have had to wait way over the headline delivery times on more than one occasion. Currently I am waiting for an item I won in an auction at the beginning of December, with customer service representatives not responding in reasonable timeframes if at all.
I have been told twice that an official complaint has been placed and given a timeframe il hear back by with no further information given. Quite unbelievably part way through an email conversation trail I was ignored for two weeks then told it had gone into a spam folder. This does not happen when part way through an email trail.
Unfortunately I’ll have to go through my bank for a charge back with this item.

If you buy multiple items, the postage will be charged individually but the items bundled, this excess will not be given to the charities.
Valuations are very much overpriced unjustifiably.
I would advise against using charitystars if you want something within a timeframe. Or indeed want to be certain it is genuine.

All in all, it’s a great idea, executed in a dishonest and disorganised manner

Please accept our sincere apologies for your experience and our delayed response.

You opened a claim with us regarding a shirt that was never received. For cases like these, the process does take longer than usual as we are at the mery of the courier’s Customer Service.

If the courier does not update us within 2-4 weeks, we can contact our own insurance.
We can issue the refund once we receive the formal statement from the client for insurance purposes.

Since they did not get back to us after more than a month, we decided to make an exception and issue a refund for the jersey without receiving the document signed by you that is mandatory to open an official claim with the insurance. This means that we decided to donate the amount raised even thought the parcel was lost and we are not sure that the insurance will refund us as we do not have the PDF document signed by the client.

In regards to “multiple shipping costs”, more than one charge is incurred if the items won are unable to be sent together (e.g. a football shirt together with a work of art) or if parcels are shipped from different countries.

We have been trying to reach you in the last few days in order to confirm you received the refund but we were blocked right after sending you the proof of refund.

Great Service!

CharityStars.com is a great ideia and one of the best ways to let sports fans like me, collect items (football shirts in my case) from great international players and at the same time, help and contribute to such important humanitarian causes. Truly Great Ladies !!

Overall I am very pleased with my experience with the ladies at Charity Stars.

Martina - Whilst she has moved to a different department, was always helpful and carried out the telephone calls when I asked. Always finding me a solution.

Tiffany/Carlotta/Dalia - Each of these ladies have helped me with multiple lots and the effort they put in with assisting me (even though I am sometimes demanding) are truly incredible people and deserve to work the this great company.

Kirsty - Always on hand to help me when required and has a fast response time when needing some urgent helps.

All in all a 5* performance from these wonderful people named and no job is ever too big, despite turnaround times being needed at speed on occasion.
I wish to say a big thank you to you all and look forward to continued unloading of my large collection for good causes.

I have emailed you about this but you emailed me saying that there is nothing you can find or nothing you can do. Gee am I surprised, NO I'm not but I'm writing this in hopes that this doesn't happen again to anyone else.

They charged me €30 for shipping a…

They charged me €30 for shipping a jersey from Italy to Ireland and made me pay a buyers fee of €30.... The Jersey cost €60, so in total it ended up costing me €120. They only tell you the "minimum" cost, whish was €10 for the buyers fee and €15 for the shipping. Since it was an auction I was stuck with the fees and now own a overpriced jersey. Don't buy of them you won't know how much you will be paying.

Excellent service from Martina! Went above and beyond to help me rectify an omission I made, provided solutions and sorted everything out. As for the site, easy to use and products are legit - would have liked if they also had a service that provided certificated of authenticity or proof of origin of products, but nonetheless very satisfied.

An amazing experience in Italy

An amazing experience in Italy visiting costume designer Nicolao Atelier at his shop. His kindness and hospitality was so appreciated. Clearly the best part of my trip. Him and his staff were amazing. This experience exceed my expectations as I’m from USA and didn’t know what to expect in another country. Great job Charitystars for putting this together.

Great staff and service.

After being notified by Leonardo and Martina about an auction I didn't realise I had won I had emailed them days later and they had got back to me very quickly and efficiently and now it has already been shipped, They are both very professional and friendly people and the service they provide is amazing!
