I booked online with one stylist listed…
I booked online with one stylist listed as intermediate and when I showed up for my appt, I was instead given another stylist. No explanation or courtesy notice about the change to let me know, noone mentioned it at the front desk- it wasn't until I asked he just said 'she gave the appt to me'.
Not impressed.

Not what I asked for
My hairdresser was super sweet, however during our consultation I was really specific about wanting 2 inches off of my hair with layers added. I showed a few pictures for reference as well. Prior to this haircut my hair was waist length.
She did my initial trim which looked perfect, 2 inches off my length and she just needed to add layers. After she added the layers suddenly my hair had lost 5-6 inches in total length. It’s like she cut every hair on my head into a layer - making my hair wayyyyy shorter than a 2inch trim.
I understand with layers some of your hair is going to be cut shorter but I still wanted my “longest” parts to be only 2 inches shorter than what I had come in with.
I’ve been growing my hair out for years and lost more half of my length total. It’s extremely upsetting especially after being very detailed and precise in what I was looking for.
Not only did I not consent to losing so much hair but I had to pay $70 for something I didn’t even ask for. Extremely extremely upsetting and will give me stress and anxiety for future haircuts

Super friendly and professional staff. Both the person working reception and my stylist Velda were really great. Velda always listens to my questions and concerns about what's going on with my hair and of what I'm thinking for the cut and style, and answers honestly and professionally. I'm always very happy with my haircuts, and the staff make me feel welcomed, heard, and respected.

Worst hair experience to date
I am usually not very fussy with my hair, it grows back. However, I have also never had a stylist who did not seem to listen to my instructions at all. I asked for a straight bob just short of shoulder length, but ended up with the hairs in front shorter than cheek length and the back hair roughly the length I asked for with almost ‘step’ like levels between the two. I asked for no product and he used something before drying my hair (he put it in so fast I didn’t even have the chance to intervene) that I ended up reacting to and had to rush home to wash it out as my neck / scalp felt as though on fire. Lastly I stated I dried my hair to take out the curl / waves and he dried my hair in a way to produce more curls / waves than I have ever had. First time I have ever left in tears, embarrassed to be seen with the way my hair looks. I have used Chatters (@ Dartmouth Crossing) for years, but this experience (moved to Mic Mac as the stylist I was booked w called in sick and they had no other availabilities) has soured my feelings towards them.
