Cheapflights is allowing dodgy Flight Ticketing search sites

I have been using Kayak & Cheapflights since last 15 years, had fabulous experiences in the past. But recently, I have found numbers of misleading, dodgy business practices which are not pleasant one. The reputable search sites like Kayak & Cheapflights should not be allowed those companies do malpractice, dishonest & try to scam the customers.
1. Online price must be same as final settle payments unless there are add-ons.
2. The agent should not call back & demand for more money for any reasons.
3. Should not be a hidden fees & charges.
4. Only allow them to offer what they can provide.
5. Easemytrip(EMTUK6070265), World Tour Stour(WTBK24968),Globehunter, Jetcost, Flightnetwork are the examples who are doing dodgy sales on your search site.

Booked a buisness class flight with these shysters and within an hour they were on the phone demanding £600 to complete. They had tickets advertised on their website travelling the next day for the same price as I booked but their rep stated not available at the price advertised!! Bunch of conmen and shysters. Reported to trading standards. Be very very wary of this site.

False pricing - bait and switch

I have tried to book multiple flights from a search on their website. Each time the price increases substantially to the advertised price. Either cheapflights is earning commission for users clicking on to agents OR agents are advertising false prices in the hope of switching to higher/real flight prices. Both circumstances, they are wasting my time and their and surely this is false advertising. I know flight prices are live, but this has happened to me multiple times and I am very frustrated. Trading standards need to check who is misleading who here.

Avoid! The company doesn't exist but still trades!

If there was a zero I would give them a zero. They are a massive scam. They refuse to give back any money. They charge you for flights that don't exist and try to make you purchase a new one for more money. I have had a look online and found that the company got dissolved on the 15th April 2025. The guy on the phone didn't even argue back when I said and inquired about this.

Fraud! Do not waste your time!

Got a seemingly good deal after a couple of weeks of searching but having made the payment got a call back in a few minutes after from the vendor to say the ticket at the quoted price has already gone and I had to pay more. Fortunately my card was not charged and I declined to move forward because I felt cheated. But this seems the MO of this site, basically misrepresenting the sale price. This site is just not worth wasting your time on. Best to go direct to the airlines website, like I did in the end. Avoid!

Natalia should be terminated from cheapflight ASAP as she confuse myself to book flight ticket and I assume, its for others too.

Never use this website.

SCAMMERS

SCAMMERS!
How’re they operating till date! So unfortunate to come across this website. I booked a ticket which I found reasonably priced than other websites. However after I paid, then I got to know check in bag wasn’t included! There was no information along the way until I paid revealed this information. After contacting customer service, a guy mentioned it was a Promotional offer so no check in baggage included in your price.
However nowhere on web site it said the offer was promotional until I called.
They also tried so hard and ask us to spend further £350 for adding baggage 😆

I wanted to check with Airline directly regarding check in baggage, but Cheap flight is refusing to give me ticket number which should be generated straight away after ticket is booked. They said ticket is in queue and I have to still wait for 48 hours for my ticket to be issued.

I called the Airline and they themselves called it unethical practice from the website for not issuing ticket/refusing to tell ticket number until it’s emailed out in 48 hours!

In the meantime they called me back to up sale the ticket couple of times which I denied. Then they called me back saying they cannot finish transaction so I asked for a full refund and eventually I got refunded after long war of stressful calls.

Basically, Cheap flights will lured you in with a ticket deal which is actually not booked from their side with airline. Then they will force you to wait and meantime up sale.

Please BE AWARE that once you pay the money, they have to send you a ticket or be able to tell a ticket number. If they don’t, you have rights to receive FULL REFUND as your ticket hadn’t been booked at all with airline. They’re hogging your money. Take it to the authorities if they refuse the full refund.

They have only couple of guys and a woman working (same people uses different names) who all talk sorts of rubbish about their so called policy. If you catch them on their lie, their tone changes and they will blame you for buying “cheap deal”.

They have been previously held accountable and penalised by authorities for such fraudulent activities
under a different travel company name.

Unfortunately I didn’t read reviews before falling for this trap. There’s lot of similarities in every review you read. It speaks volume about SCAM company.

This site should be banned across for false advertising or misleading information/deal and taken up to authorities.

Don't book ever from Cheap fly shop

Its an aweful experience to book the flights from Cheap fly shop. It is actually cheap which doesn't display the information correctly on the website. When I call customer care (Danny). He is the only person who picks up the call and he is supervisor, he is boss. Who can't answer simply question "how much do I need to pay to add the check in bag. As per him it will take 48 hours to know the price about the check in. Danny (real or alias name) doesn't know how to talk, not willing to talk, rude

We booked 2 business clas tickets for the sum of £4800 To Bangkok.
We were contacted 2 days later saying they wanted £385 per person for 2 25kg cases each, which any dimwit knows you don't pay for luggage on a business class flight.
My wife is a barrister and after explaining the consequences or money was refunded...
These should be riding horses and ten gallon hats !

This company is not a travel company…

This company is not a travel company but a scammer. I booked a flight to Tobago paid £590.00 and half hr later received a call from them. He insisted that I had to book baggage as flight did not include even a handbag. Quotes were £140.00 for hand luggage and £260 for cases in the hold. He was so persistent telling me it had to be booked before 11pm otherwise flight would become more expensive and he needed to get my tickets even though flight isn’t until January. He phoned me 4 times in the evening last call 10pm. I promptly told him to bugger off after his continuous persistence. I rang Barclaycard next morning and it’s now with them. The same man rang next day & I told him I’m cancelling. He informed me it will cost me £150 to cancel. Don’t touch this company! The phone number he uses is a London no: 02045183711. I tested the number & as expected it gets transferred.

Please be aware this place is not the…

Please be aware this company is not the place to buy a flight ticket.
We bought a ticket and when we went to check our luggage allowance found there was no information about luggage.
We contacted the company and were told we could take a 5kg bag.
They went on to try and get more money out of us to take more luggage plus change our flight to a more expensive one.
They were very persistent even when we said we would just take the 5kg allowance.
We had our flight/booking confirmation emailed through, then two days later we had a call from them saying the flight was now fully booked and as they had called us the day before (which they hadn't) and said we hadn't answered, our flight was now cancelled.
We were also told we may not get our money returned. After we called them many times plus informed our bank right away, we then got told by the flight company that if we keep on trying to get our money back it will delay things. Eventually after us being really persistent we got a man named Peter to email us confirmation of a refund. I advise anyone to do the same asap.
Eventually we got a refund but it took a lot of stress and calls to the bank and to mycheapflight. Avoid at all costs.

Scammers

This company is a bunch of scammer.
I booked a flight ticket for my husband online. Within a couple of hours receive a call from them to say the ticket is no longer available at that price. We've put you on a waiting list, plus also says baggage not included in ticket and do you need baggage? I was surprised as not the first time I was flying with Qatar Airways they always included checked baggage. Her voice of tone changed as soon as I said why it didn't give me the option to add baggage online.
I said I will call Qatar Airlines and confirm she became very rude she and said if you want baggage you have to pay more. Her name was Sarah she phoned me back later offering me a new ticket and change of date and airline and asked me to pay more.I also asked her to email me what she has just told me over the phone but she refused.
To which I replied no just refund me her we go this is where she tells me the ticket is non-refundable I stood my ground as and explained to her my consumer rights that you have not been able to provide me with the product or service so these terms and conditions don't apply. And if you refuse a refund I will dispute this transaction with my bank.
She disconnected my phone.
I just ignored all calls from them and booked a new ticket through Travel Trolley for my husband which are more trusted.
Surprisingly a day before travel date I get a email from them your ticket confirmation is still pending please call us to immediately to confirm you're booking.
I did not call I emailed them and request for a refund as I needed something in writing from them if I was to raise a dispute.
And it worked they reversed my pending transaction even got an apology email from them.
Scammers.
Stay away at all cost.
And if anyone has become a victim of these scammers raise a dispute with your bank. Also let them know you are going to take it further and raise a dispute with your bank.
Hope this helps you guys.
Ansar.

Beware: CheapFlights.com is a Scam - Avoid at All Costs

I had a highly disappointing and frustrating experience with CheapFlights.com, which I now believe to be a scam air ticket company. Here’s a detailed account of what happened:

I booked an international flight for my family of four on their website, lured by a "promotional price." However, about an hour after making the booking, I received a call from their representative. He informed me that the tickets I had booked were non-refundable, included last group boarding, and did not allow any carry-on or checked-in bags. He then pressured me to upgrade our tickets for additional fees, which was the first red flag, as international flights typically include both carry-on and checked baggage for free.

Despite this, I decided to stick with the original tickets without any upgrades. To my surprise, the representative didn't push further and assured me that I would receive the ticket confirmation within 30 minutes. However, no confirmation arrived, though I noticed that my credit card hadn’t been charged.

Six hours later, I received another call from the same representative, who claimed that the airline had tried to charge my card but was only able to charge a partial amount, with the rest being rejected by my credit card company. This was a blatant lie, as credit card companies either approve the full amount or deny the entire transaction. Moreover, I had not received any notifications from my credit card company about any charges or rejections.

During this second call, I mentioned that I had looked at reviews about their company, and most were negative. The representative sarcastically responded, "So why did you book on our website then?" This unprofessional and dismissive attitude further confirmed my suspicions.

The representative then threatened that the partial amount charged would be non-refundable and pressured me to pay nearly double the original ticket price to cover all the upgrades he had mentioned earlier. He claimed the promotional price would not be honored due to the supposed bank rejection. I refused to agree to the new price and asked him to provide proof of the partial charge and the rejected charge so I could discuss the issue directly with the airline, given that I had a loyalty membership with them.

Despite his continued attempts to get me to pay the inflated price, I insisted on seeing the proof. He promised to send the documents to my email but, unsurprisingly, I never received any further communication.

Based on my experience, I strongly advise against using CheapFlights.com. They employ deceptive practices, bait customers with low prices, and then attempt to extort additional money through fabricated issues and threats. This company is a scam, and it’s crucial to be aware and avoid any dealings with them.
