Excellent service
We have used Churchers for our past two house moves. We have been very impressed with their work - they kept us informed every step of the way, and never hesitated to chase up other parties to keep things moving. We wouldn’t now go anywhere else - and would use the firm in the future for any legal advice.

The housing legal department took on my…
The housing legal department took on my case a while ago. I was on legal aid which meant there is a budget. I went over my budget but they still continued to fight my corner. We had several court cases and we won every single one of them. The judge knew i was on legal aid hence why he kept changing court dates and kept adjoining them. Because he knew i would have to fight by myself.. but i didn't. Churches stayed with me and went above and beyond. Thank you so much Ian Heal from churchers

Not worth recommending...
Unfortunately I had a doubtful pleasure of dealing with Churchers Solicitors. First of all I ended up with a bill of £341 for a house I didn’t buy. I believe this company has disgusting trading standards and definitely please avoid them if you can...

Look around
My house sale fell through therefore I took the house off the market. However, I still paid £200 plus for the work they carried out, be careful and read their terms and conditions. Personally I wish I never went with this firm as there are others out there with ”no sale, no fee” option.

After being involved in a bus accident Ms. Bond supported my claim as a student and dealt with my application in a very welcoming, professional and supportive manner. Communication is key, and everything was made clear from start to finish. Anyone considering churchers, I would strongly reccommend.

Portsmouth Branch
Michelle Low at Churchers undertook the conveyancing for me in relation to the sale of my late Mother's flat. As I was selling from a considerable distance, Michelle's prompt efficiency, reliability, proactive communication and consistent focus made all the difference. A really positive experience from an excellent company which I would unhesitatingly recommend.
Thank you Michelle - You made life much easier at a difficult time.

A Claim for Personal Injury
A satisfactory outcome to a claim for personal injury as a result of a fall in a local shop of a large chain. Negotiated by Ms Bond who kept me informed of progress over the 12 month process.
An education on how drawn out such a claim can take.
Thanks Claire and Churchers.

Criminal law matter - very helpful!
A family member of mine had a criminal law issue to resolve recently, which I approached Churchers about with very short notice of the deadline to resolve the issue. Ian Robinson (Managing Partner) dealt with the case, finding us a barrister to represent my family member in court. Ian communicated with us very clearly and concisely about the route which we needed to take to conclude the issue in the best way. He was very helpful and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

We consulted Churchers in Ryde…
We consulted Churchers in Ryde concerning a boundary dispute but were very disappointed with the service received. Our first meeting was cordial and encouraging and we went home remembering several key promises.
Firstly, that we would receive a client care letter reiterating all we had been told. We have never received this letter, in spite of frequently requesting it.
Secondly, that we could ask for an account at any time. Again, in spite of asking for accounts on various occasions throughout the process, we never received one.
Thirdly, that we could contact our solicitor or if he was unavailable, his clerk, at any time, by phone or email. We frequently waited for periods of ten days, two weeks or more for any response, even following repeated emails and phone calls . Our messages were never even acknowledged.
We did not feel that we received any useful legal advice on our boundary dispute from our solicitor, which was the purpose of employing him.
Finally, when we received a bill for over £7000, we asked repeatedly and over a period of several months, for a breakdown of the bill. The request was apparently ignored as it was never acknowledged until we chased it up with irritated phone calls to the company's head office.
While we cannot of course comment on their proficiency in other areas of the law, we feel obliged to report that in the area of boundary disputes our experience with Churchers has been very disappointing.
We would also suggest that it is a simple matter of courtesy, let alone good customer relations, to at least acknowledge receipt of emails, and to make an effort at replying to them in a reasonable period of time.

House Purchase
House Purchase
My recent house purchase had proven to be quite difficult & protracted, with many moving pieces along the way. However, despite this, and a change in solicitor in the latter stages of getting to exchange, I was given 100% support and service throughout. Buying a house in England isn't an easy process & can get quite emotional at times, & I was given complete sympathy & where necessary some tough love, which was always really appreciated & respected. I would not hesitate in recommending Churchers to others.
